Unexpected customer service
I am updating my original review after a communication from BD Head Office. My review has been amended from 2 to 5 stars because I received an apology for the initial communications along with a promised gift voucher. My initial disappointment was not about obtaining a refund but rather the cavalier approach to customer service after explaining the position fully and with the evidence to back it up. Being initially dismissed in this way suggested expected great customer care had gone out the window. My faith in BD has now been restored.
nitially I was told that alpine plants sold in Autumn were not expected to last through winter and as a customer I should have taken cuttings. My point is I kept the plants frost free over winter and why should I be expected to have taken cuttings when the alpines were sold as fully developed plants. I sent photos of the alpines and a full explanation.
ORIGINAL COMMENT BELOW;
I have always found Blue Diamond Garden Centres to offer good quality plants and a wide variety to choose from. I have never had cause to contact their customer care until now and I am both surprised and disappointed that they failed to offer reimbursment of £10 for 3 potted alpine plants that have died despite being kept frost free over winter. I would have expected a goodwill gesture that could have gone a long way to avoid denting my faith in Blue Diamond.

If you want somewhere special to go for a day out then blue Diamond garden centre at East Bridgford is the place to go the staff are so friendly and knowledgeable the food is amazing and there is even a play zone for the little ones go see for yourselves you won’t be disappointed

What a find!
I am one of a group of three very old school friends
Since attending the same grammar school and now in our late 60s, we no longer live near to each other but try to meet up regularly
We searched online for a venue equidistant between us all and found Beckworth Emporium
We visited a few months back and enjoyed it so much that we returned again for another catch up
It is so much more than a garden centre and restaurant
We had drinks after our lengthy journeys in the beautifully bright and attractive restaurant also making use of the spotlessly clean toilet facilities
We wandered around the lovely centre making purchases from the comprehensive range of healthy plant displays, buying items in the clothes section (which offered a very good range including some great special offers) and we also bought a small number of home ware items that were extremely well laid out at comparable pricing
Lunch together is a must when we meet up and as one of the group has allergies, an extremely helpful waiting staff member liaised with the chef over certain menu ingredients and our food was incredible, freshly prepared and delicious
Another thoroughly enjoyable experience at Beckworth Emporium, we will be back

Great Garden Centre
Fantastic quality and quantity of plants. Staff very helpful.
Restaurant had great variety and food is delicious. Again the staff are friendly and helpful.
I always find good, healthy plants and bits and bobs that I didn’t know I needed.
It’s straight off the motorway, can’t miss the huge shovel in the car park!

Great start to bank holiday break
We arrived very for a breakfast for 10 people on the way down to Christchurch. We were the first to arrive, and immediately felt welcome. Immediate service and our breakfast were all cooked fresh and arrived shortly afterwards. They were delicious. Could not recommend it enough.

Rude serving staff
Great plants and a good variety overall. Always found the staff in the outside area helpful and approachable, but I've just experienced the checkout staff talking amongst themselves with two lines of customers to serve and a staff member actually scanned a couples plants then preseeded to talk over them to another customer about her dogs, next she ignored the paying customers so she could give the dogs treats whilst taking a long time to do so. How rude and ignorant of her and I hope I would be treat with more respect as I behave towards others. This was Little Eaton centre

Appalling restaurant queues
All good in the garden centre ... except the restaurant. HUGE queues reaching right across the restaurant into the clothing department and dozens of empty seats in the restaurant. Only one till working and service soooo slow you could be forgiven for falling asleep in the queue. Will not visit this restaurant again.

Lovely & useful experience at Fosseway garden centre…
I went in to the Fosseway garden centre and asked for some advice on what to do about aphids on my roses. I was given some extremely helpful tips from the super helpful staff in the outside area. The lady on the tills was very friendly & helpful and a young man called Owen helped both myself & an elderly couple to put our purchases in our cars. All in all a very nice garden centre making for a lovely trip out
