I have asked for a water based eggshell…
I have asked for a water based eggshell paint as I have a bad reaction to oil based paints. As my choice wasn’t available in store some sales person ordered a Dulux Once paint for me. I was not informed that the ordered paint was oil based (I was under the impression that the paint was water based and trusted the sales person as I had explained my experience with oil based paints to him). I used it and after an hour I ended up with a severe headache and was violently sick, not being able to continue with my work. Appalling customer service and such a waste of money. I am still really shocked that I was not being taken seriously.

Hi Jo, we’re really sorry to hear about your experience and the impact it had on you. We’ve looked into this with the store team and understand the Dulux Once Eggshell was ordered in following your request and this particular product is only available as oil-based. We completely appreciate how important it is to have the right product when sensitivities are involved, and will be reminding our teams to always confirm whether paints are water or oil based when placing orders. Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Kind regards, Shannon.
