First build complete with brick borrow!
Received my first box the other day. The signing up process was very straight forward, item was well packaged, no missing pieces and came with original instructions. Me and my daughter love Lego but running out of space to store them so this subscription is perfect! The return was easy too with the pre paid label. Looking forward to choosing my next one!

Waste of money
Paid for my subscription, then got to the available sets page and there was nothing interesting on there to borrow. I think you should be able to see whats available before deciding to sign up. I felt like I had wasted my money (and the £5.95 postage fee) on something I didnt really want. Havent finished building the one ive got as ive got 16 pages in and theres 2 bits missing (the only 2 of the set!). Will be returning and cancelling. Waste of money

We completely understand the frustration of joining and not immediately finding a set you were excited to build. We do have a large and regularly rotating library, with multiple copies of many sets returning as members complete and return their builds, and back-in-stock notifications are available for popular sets.
We’re also sorry to hear that your current build is missing two pieces. If you let our customer service team know, we’re always happy to send missing pieces out so you can complete your build as soon as possible.

Love these guys. Great to be able to borrow rather than buy. Customer service are always super polite and helpful (i recently asked them to rush processing my return and they did that as well as fast tracked my delivery so i got it before going away). cant praise the whole setup and service enough

Like Lego but don’t want to keep collecting models?
This is a great idea for people who like building Lego, but don’t know what to do once you’ve built it. With Brickborrow you can do the build, enjoy it for a time, send it back and build something new. Easy to use service. I would recommend

I have had the mystery box for 2 years and it has given us some sets we would have never considered buying but we actually enjoyed building.

First borrow
I was a bit dubious of brick borrow but honestly, it has been the easiest subscription I have signed up to. Their website is easy to navigate and simple to find sets you want to build. My first borrow was a Commander Cody lego head. I had so much fun Sunday afternoon building him. Can not wait for the next build! I urge anyone who loves lego but lacks display space to give them a go! Highly recommend

I really enjoy Brick Borrow. The subscription is easy to understand, and all costs are clearly communicated.
I got my second box last week. I enjoy building Lego, but I can't always jusify the cost nor do I have space, which makes Brick Borrow a great option.
I've had no issues, and if there's missing bricks, I just report it via their website.

There is no point getting a subscription feels like a scam hav they just one of every Lego set pretty much every Lego set is rented out the stuff you see when you get subscription nightmare before Christmas the batman house you don't see these on the the place we're you have to rent the Lego no search bar nothing

We’re sorry to see this review Alex, but we do feel it gives a very unfair impression of our service - particularly describing Brick Borrow as feeling like a “scam”.
You only joined Brick Borrow 3 days ago and have not yet borrowed or received a set from us, so the review does not reflect an actual experience of using the service. We have been operating for over 4 years, have more than 13,000 active members, have sent over 150,000 orders and are rated Excellent on Trustpilot. Many of our members save hundreds or even thousands of pounds by borrowing sets rather than buying them.
Our library contains over 1,100 different sets, with multiple copies of every set - and for some of our most popular sets we have hundreds of copies. Naturally, popular sets will sometimes be out on loan, but over 500 sets are returned and added back into the library every single day, so availability is constantly changing.
Every set shown on our Browse Sets To Borrow page is also listed within the Pick Your Sets area for members. You can also browse by more than 70 different themes to make finding sets easier.
We completely understand that not every set will be available at the exact moment somebody wants it - that is the nature of a borrowing service - but suggesting there is “no point” in subscribing or that the service feels like a scam after only 3 days and without having borrowed anything is simply not a fair reflection of Brick Borrow or the experience of the thousands of members who use us every month.

A really great and accessible service for choosing and building sets that can be costly to buy outright. My daughter borrowed numerous sets that she loves building.
Comms with them have always been quick, easy and super helpful too. Definitely recommend.

I have just cancelled after a year and a half with BB. The concept is brilliant and the customer service has always been attentive and responsive. When I had a major issue in the past I was pleased with the final outcome.
Eventually I started to feel this wasn’t for me - as a neurodivergent who builds for the mindfulness aspect, every second hand set I borrowed had multiple missing pieces, and most of them had dirty bricks too. BB always respond quickly and ship new parts first class - but often knowing there would likely be more missing parts further along the build (you are rummaging through a big bag of loose pieces) - I would part out the entire set before contacting them.
That, paired with larger sets being almost impossible to borrow due to demand, was a nuisance. Unfortunately every time I didn’t, I ended up frustrated.
Unless you pay more, you can’t rent another set while waiting for the one you really want to come back in, so I ended up sitting on an unused account for weeks at a time. That plus the time it takes to part out and resolve missing pieces reduces the value you get from a time-based subscription
If you can see past these aspects, I think it’s brilliant, and when you get a brand new set this service feels amazing, but in its current state it’s not for me.

We’re really pleased to hear that you found the concept brilliant and that our customer service has always felt attentive and responsive. We’re also glad we were able to resolve the major issue you mentioned in a way you were happy with at the time.
That said, we’re genuinely sorry to hear that the overall experience no longer felt right for you. We completely understand how frustrating missing pieces can be, especially when building is something you do for mindfulness and relaxation, which is why we aim to get all missing pieces ordered and shipped via first class as soon as possible.
We’re also sorry to hear that some bricks did not feel as clean as they should have. That isn’t the standard we want our members to receive, and we’ll continue working on our checking and cleaning processes to improve this.
We completely understand your comments around the larger sets too. They are some of the most popular builds in the library and can be borrowed very quickly, however, we do see them come back into rotation often.
We’re sorry that these things reduced the value of the subscription for you and ultimately led you to cancel. We really do appreciate your balanced feedback, your kind words about the parts of the service you enjoyed, and the time you spent with us.

Would 100% recommend! A large range of sets to choose from, all i’ve borrowed were excellent quality and arrived quickly. The staff are also very friendly and quick to respond to any questions or concerns

If you are a LEGO fan, this is a must!
A friend recommended Brick Borrow to me as I am a massive AFOL (adult fan of LEGO) so I signed up for the Mystery Bundle. The kit arrived with clear instructions and contained a kit I wouldn't normally build. I really enjoyed building something I wouldn't dream of normally building. This is also an opportunity to build kits that might be out of reach financially. Once the kit is built, all you need to do is break it down and pop it back in the post with a pre-paid label. This would make an amazing gift for young and old and I can't wait to see what I get next!
