One star is too many
One star is too many: Ordered 3 five-foot Autumn Blaze Maples and 2 six-foot Shademaster Honeylocusts: all arrived having had their tops (their apexes) lopped off to fit in the boxes. I suspected they wouldn't grow correctly, and I was later proven correct. A customer service chat had me convinced that it might or might not have started with a live human but definitely ended with an AI agent. Nothing was resolved. An approximately $600 order and a growing season of effort wasted. Btw, during the chat, the agent admitted that it is their standard practice to lop off the apexes of their saplings to fit in shipping boxes. Is that what you want? My advice is to stay away from Bighter Blooms Nursery.
Beware! Don't waste your time and money!
I give them a 1 because the plant arrived on time. I paid $140 with s/h and got a diseased plant. 3 gallon hydrangea, yellow and black leaves, leaves falling off, black spots all over the green leaves. I called the number provided in my email, "contact us" if there was a problem. Twice, I got a message,"Hello and congratulations you have been selected for a discount on a medical alert button! I called another number and got the same message. I emailed the site given for problems from their email to me and also from their website. Both times it came back delivery failure. So far, I have not found a successful way to contact them. For that much money, I was expecting a healthy plant!! I could have taken the $140 and planted it and come out just as well.
DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME AND MONEY!
Our order was refunded thank you
Not what we ordered!!! Will not refund us!!! Do not order from them or you could be taken like we were!!
Update: Our order was refunded thank you
I would not advise anyone to buy any…
I would not advise anyone to buy any shrubs from this unethical company! I ordered two 1 gal Nandina Fire power shrubs received the wrong size, took 9 days to receive them dried leaves pitiful small plants ( 4" to 5 " tall at best ) and paid premium price! On the ad it only showed big shrubs already grown not in the pot stated they were 1 gal which if they had been 1 gal the price would have been fair. Customer service was horrible just kept telling me to plant them and they would grow! My flower bed has mature shrubs and plant can you imagine planting something tjat small how stupid it would look. My final Word is do not BUY FROM Brighter BLOOMS!!!!!
It’s a rip off…..do not buy from FGT/BB
Bought a Chocolate Mimosa from this company for $120. When it finally arrived I open the box and discovered a 5’ tall twig with all the leaves in the bottom of the box. I planted it with hopes it would recover….bit it did not. Contacted brighter blooms several times for a replacement and they never responded to any emails. My advice….avoid this company….its a sham!
I would never order from Brighter…
I would never order from Brighter Blooms Nursery again. The plants arrived in terrible condition—wilted, weak, and nothing like the photos on their website. Customer service was unhelpful and dismissive when I reached out for a resolution, making me feel like they simply didn’t care once they had my money. For a company that markets itself as providing “high-quality” plants, the reality couldn’t be further from the truth. Save yourself the frustration and shop elsewhere.
Disappointed with quality
Disappointed with quality, shipping timing, and unreachable customer support
I ordered a Flame Thrower Redbud from Brighter Blooms in spring. It was backordered and I was told to expect shipping in September, but it arrived in July — the hottest and worst time to plant in my Zone 7 area.
The tree is technically 3–4 ft as described and alive, but it arrived looking flimsy, with wilted and dropping leaves. The shipping box was crushed on one side.
The worst part: I couldn’t reach anyone. Emails bounced, and the toll-free number connected to a medical device ad. I eventually received an acknowledgment, but the whole experience has been frustrating and left me feeling scammed for the price I paid.
I hope the tree survives, but based on quality and service, I wouldn’t recommend ordering from Brighter Blooms.
Garbage. Garbage. Garbage.
Garbage. Garbage. Garbage. I received an almost dead tree for over $160. The website says “quality trees guaranteed.” I complained and they said to wait 3-4 weeks and they would take care of it if I wasn’t satisfied. 3.5 weeks later it is “alive,” but far from a quality tree. They said because it was “alive” there was nothing wrong with it. It shipped 10 days in a box and has frost damage when it arrived. Terrible company, terrible quality product. Completely untrustworthy. DO NOT BUY FROM THEM. Basically a scam.
Unsure what to expect
Bought a Thornless Honey Locust and a 5 foot long stick arrived with two leafs sprouting at about 3 feet from the base. The base is a shoot off of a stem that had been previously cut off so I’m not convinced this will survive or thrive.
Ordered a 150 dollar tree
Ordered a 150 dollar tree. Looked like a twig with about 3 leaves on it. Well it broke in the middle after about a month and company won't replace. Will never do business with this company again. And last year ordered 4 smoke trees and got 3 trees and one bush.
Doesn't stand by warranty
They don't stand by their warranty. I was given the 1 year warranty on a replacement sent April of 24. It was a middle ground resolution because I didn't want a product replacement on my 2023 warranty. I wanted the credit they offered, but they'd already sent the plant. I was told they would notate the replacement order that it was under warranty. March of 2025 I try to redeem my warranty. I show the chat person screenshots of the email thread with the dates in April 2024 offering a 1 year warranty. They said it was out of their one year warranty period. Then stopped responding to the chat and wouldn't answer the phone.
Their products are also overpriced. You can get a better product cheaper from Lowe's. Their only saving grace was their warranty that they don't even stand by.
I just received two 7 gallon…
I just received two 7 gallon hydrangeas.
The cost was about 400% more than the 2 gallon hydrangeas. I have purchased at a local nursery. But I wanted to nice signatures on both sides of the steps. Appointment once they arrived as they were only an inch or two taller and could easily have fit into a two or 3 gallon container. Now I’m fighting with brighter blooms and they want me to dig them up so they can look at the burlap ball even though I sent them pictures before they were planted next to a 2 gallon hydrangea that we purchased so frustrated and disappointed
Diseased honeysuckle vine
Honeysuckle vine arrived with yellow/brown withered dropping leaves. Emailed support twice with pics and told was just cosmetic issue. It was actually fungal disease. Since customer service of no assistance, I complained to Walmart just before return window closed and received refund. Brighter Blooms, the supplier should have provided healthy replacement.

Stay Far Away
This company sends you defective products after they don't come alive after 2 years then they tell you it's to late. Don't buy a thing from this scammer company. They don't honor a thing. There is better out there.

6 trees bought over months
6 trees bought over months. All died. Stay away!
Above expectations
We had some questions about plant care. They were very easy to contact, spent time reviewing our photos and gave great advice. They went well above expectations to help us with a plant order that went slightly awry. They really did more than necessary, and we appreciated it very much. We had no prior experience with this nursery but would order from them again.
Half Dead Raspberry Plant
I have had 2 orders from Brighter Blooms Nursery. The first one on June 8th and the second one on July 13th. The first order I had no problems with the order a 2 gal. golden raspberry bush. I likes it so much a month later I decided to place an order for the same bush again. Big mistake, this time half of the plant is dead. I have tried to write them and sent pictures, but so far no response.
They made it right
Long story short I bought a tree and it died. However, they did reach out to me and they did resend me the tree they had in stock and refunded the difference in price of trees (this ones slightly shorter, but I don't care about that). I have several trees that came from them including a blue star juniper, weeping peach, and wisteria tree just to name few. They are all thriving and have been bought over years.
Scammers!
I purchased apple trees from brighter blooms with a one-year warranty. When one of them didn’t survive the winter, they wanted almost $70 to replace it plus tax and shipping.
Some warranty!!
I bought an apple tree from Lowe’s for $34 with tax. It’s more than double the size of the plants brighter blooms sent; same variety. It has lots of leaves; it’s gorgeous.
Don’t buy from brighter blooms! They used to be great but they’re apparently under different management now. 🫤
