The dresses are of good quality and although you cannot call the company to speak with them, they are quick to respond to emails and very accommodating. Overall a good experience and a reliable source for outfits for retro festivals and the like.

I have purchased around 4 dresses and petticoats and lots of accessories bags etc , the dresses are amazing quality and fit beautifully when put altogether you feel a million dollars , fast delivery on everything I’ve ordered .

British Retro makes gorgeous clothes - I’m in love with my Audrey cherry print 50s-style dress - and offers great customer service.

Dress was absolutely beautiful and flattering. Customer was service was excellent and repaired the zip on our dress when needed, without any issue.

It's the first time I ordered from British Retro and I'm not happy with the 'Carmen Lola Check 50s Premium Organic Cotton 50s Dress' and yellow petticoat I ordered. They're both cheaply made. The fabric on the petticoat is very cheap synthetic fabric and the bow is only decorative so it's not like you can loosen it for a wider waist or hips circumference, it has a very tight elastic and my waist is 72cm.
The dress itself has been sewn very cheaply and the size chart is off. My bust is 104cm and the size 18 is bigger in circumference but for and E cup the 'cup' itself is small, so I would not recommend above a C cup. Also the seams are just coverlock (the cheapest way of finishing) and the hem has a single inlay instead of a double. The zipper is very poorly installed and it doesn't even have lining at the top, the cups are just single fabric. The elasticof the sleeve is so thighs that it gives me a ring in just 2 min and my upper arm circumference is 34cm. I wish I could add pictures so you could see how poorly the sewing is for that price.

I am absolutely delighted with my dresses from British Retro. I purchased the beautiful Dee Dee dress in Porcelain Blue, which I wore for my daughter’s baptism, and the gorgeous Suzi Q navy floral dress.

Both dresses are truly stunning, with exceptional quality, beautiful fabrics and wonderful attention to detail. The vintage-inspired designs are elegant, feminine and timeless — they make you feel very special when wearing them.

Now, I'm also looking forward to receiving my new order—the Bibi Skin Soft navy dress—and I'm sure I'll love it just as much. I can't wait to wear it!

Planning my outfit for my best friend’s wedding, it had to be something very special. It had to be British Retro!!
I chose ‘Carmen - Lola Check’ … with bright, bold colour and quality fabric, this stylish 1950’s dress is totally retro, yet created for contemporary wear. I received sooo many compliments at the wedding, I felt amazing! I contacted British Retro about a different dress on a different occasion - their Customer Service is Retro too. Good old fashioned politeness and helpfulness. I have no hesitation in recommending British Retro.

I return my item , I wasn t very happy with , and after 2 weeks I still waiting for my refund , you can not call and when you send e mail to them , they answer late and not very helpful with the issue

I love this company. I bought 2 beautiful swing dresses earlier this year. I wore them on the dress to impress night, on a cruise.
I felt so beautiful in the dresses 👗 they are very glamorous.

Got my wedding dress from here. It fits so nicely and gives the classic 50s shape with a petticoat. And the fabrics are of good quality. I would recommend getting their dresses as they are breathable and give you lots of movement.

As someone who owns quite a few pieces from a range of vintage-inspired brands, I can honestly say that British Retro’s quality is some of the best I’ve come across. The fabrics feel beautiful, the prints and patterns are gorgeous, and their designs have a real individuality to them. When I wear their clothes, I know I’m wearing something special and not just another version of what’s available everywhere else.

What makes them stand out even more is their incredible customer service. A recent order went missing in the post, and the team were absolutely wonderful. They went above and beyond to help, keeping in touch throughout and sending me a different dress at the original sale price so I wouldn’t miss out. They even included a lovely pin, which was such a thoughtful touch and completely made my day.

It’s so rare these days to find a company that excels at both quality and customer care, but British Retro really does. Their clothes are beautiful, their standards are consistently high, and they genuinely seem to care about their customers. Experiences like this are exactly why I keep coming back and why they’re one of my favourite brands.

Almost all of my dresses are from British Retro, and whenever I wear them, people are always amazed at how beautiful they are =) I constantly receive compliments, especially whenever I use them for pictorials. Their dresses are just amazing! I’ve always been a huge fan of British Retro clothing =)

British Retro has excellent products; get a lot of compliments when I wear my clothes/jewellery from British Retro.

The clothing is well made and high quality. The styles are amazing and so cute. The fit is excellent.
