Building a garage has been a lifelong dream—a space where I could work on my toys and, more importantly, spend quality time with my family. Taking the first step was daunting since this was my first attempt at adding to my home. I reached out to several contractors, hoping to gain insight into the process and costs. But along the way, it became clear that some were more focused on selling their ideas than truly understanding mine.
From the moment I met Mr. Sulliven, I knew this experience would be different. He listened. He understood my vision, offering thoughtful options to bring it to life. Once I solidified my plan, I sought quotes from multiple contractors. During follow-up meetings, I asked each of them if they had ideas to refine my plans—especially given the extensive groundwork required to meet housing regulations. Of all the contractors, Jim was the only one who stepped in to help, even before a formal agreement was signed. That showed me he wasn’t just another contractor—he genuinely cared about my dream and what it meant to my family.
With trust firmly established, Jim and his team got to work. Despite hurdles like permits, unforeseen site challenges, inflation, and unpredictable weather, they pushed through with dedication. In the end, they delivered 100% on a stunning 2,700-square-foot garage—one that my kids, grandkids, and nephews enjoy today.

The website asked you to provide reviews for contractors. However, they never published it. Maybe only publish the good ones.

They did the hard work of vetting and putting me in touch with contractors, and I couldn't be happier with the contractor I ultimately chose.

No calls no response

I found the contractor I was looking to hire on BuildZoom while trying to find their home website. I got halfway through the BuildZoom forms when they asked me to check a box to get quotes for other contractors. I unchecked this, since I knew who I wanted to work with, and realizing this was not the site I was looking for promptly left the site without submitting my form. Despite never submitting my contact forms and not having checked the box for other contractors, BuildZoom decided to take my information without my consent and send it to every contractor in the area. I’ve been inundated with calls from people wanting to help with my “building project.” I’m absolutely disgusted with the way this company has conducted themselves.

Response to Reply: If you didn’t give my contact information to any contractors, I would suggest looking into your site security, as I received calls from 6 different contractors, saying they got my information from BuildZoom. “Brooke Adams” at BuildZoom texted me on three occasions tells by me to expect calls from contractors. For this reason, I’m not buying that my information was not given out.

They provided me up with three excellent contractors to bid on my projects. While I definitely made the best decision for my project, I believe all three contractors would have done a good job.

The reason I deducted a star was because of communication issues with Buildzoom.Sometimes the office wasn't on top of their previous communication with me and asked the same questions multiple times. Additionally, the website is not intuitive and doesn't integrate well with personal email making communicating with the contractor a bit cumbersome.

BuildZoom made the whole getting-started-process easy. I had contractor names and some of their info., and could arrange for them to meet with me to discuss what I wanted done on my home.

Fast response. Provided a match consistent with budget window and scope of the project with follow-up through to completion. My first experience with BuildZoom and a very positive one for sure Will not hesitate to return

I'm a contractor, got sucked in to a subscription. Had no value, cost me over $1200, $630 early termination fee. This is useless.

Buildzoom has no value for me; the product they offer is massively overpriced and completely useless

Professional, on time, fair pricing, very knowledgeable about their trade.

The web site was easy to use. Searches were comparable or better than other sites. It helped in finding a good company to research further and hire.
