Dreadful quality carpet when fitted and it was not a cheap option. The carpet had lines down it every 8 feet. After ridiculous wrangling got it replaced and the replacement was fine when fitted but the same lines developed in the following weeks. This is not a fitting problem like rucks it’s actually an issue with the carpet which Carpetright tried to say was us. Management appalling. No interest in retaining us although we went originally to also carpet two bedrooms.

Member of staff helpful and respectful

On both occasions when we called into the store the staff members were friendly and very helpful
They explained very clearly pricing, and assisted with finding a suitable carpet for our requirements. Then arranged a date for fitting which was convenient for us

Alex showed us the different choices we had with no pressure

They did exactly what they said they would do and were able to turn around the request in a timely manner.

Good friendly service

Customer service was excellent knowledgeable well mannered and approachable.You are able to browse without being annoyed by salespeople. The measurer was again approachable and knowledgeable and even brought my original quote down substantially.When we went in to pay the price was slightly reduced again which we were more than happy with.

Recently went to our local Carpetright in Gillingham to look at and purchase carpet for our stairs and landing,we was served by Neil who was really helpful and not pushy, the whole process was very straightforward,Neil was professional and knowledgeable,will definitely be going back in the future as the prices were extremely competitive and there was a lot of choice

Because of the recent cyber attack, i couldn't order the first time i went in store, eventually got to order carpet the 3rd time i went in, I also kept checking website to see if they were up and running. Upon checking a banner came up to say get an extra 10% off, great i thought. I didn't actually check paperwork till I got home. Carpetright had added without telling me two extra charges, one £22.50 for admin of carpet fitting and the other £39.99 making it easy package, so with them two extras i didn't really get 10% off in my view!

We were dealt with very quickly and even booking for a fitting was quicker than we thought

Ok, so I've been bombarded with messages from Carpetright telling me to give them feedback, so here goes:

The team were really helpful and guided me through the process. Going to their showroom allowed me to get a feel for the product and style we chose for the room.

I had not measured before going in because I assumed it was part of the service and I thought I would miss something or get it wrong somehow. I knew the size roughly. They sent out a professional who calculated the precise measurements which helped because there were things I hadn't considered. Lovely guy, really honest and provided an excellent customer experience.

Supporting a local supplier is important to me.

This was my first time selecting, ordering and buying flooring and although it's not been fitted yet, I am delighted with the customer service from Carpetright in Medway.

Here comes the reason they didn't get 5 stars. The local store is badly in need of updating not sure the last time their designers looked at the layout and presentation in the store?

It's actually quite an oppressively uninspiring experience aesthetically speaking with the edges of gigantic rolls of carpet lined up in huge terrifying columns, they are enormous and actually did not entice me into the store at all. In fact I would say that the 'showroom' is literally samples of carpets with absolutely no effort made to create an experience for the customer or even assist them in their imaginations in making such a major investment in their home. It was hard to look at a square patch and a picture, then imagine myself walking on it in the room we had chosen.

Maybe, update a little, go visit IKEA, or any other competitor, to see what customers enjoy when they are given an experience and find out if that leads to increased sales revenue.

The showroom looks like it hasn't been designed, I would call it a warehouse more than a 'show' room. Maybe invest in the customer 'experience' and learn a little about the psychology of how that translates into people parting with their cash.

Alex rice was very professional in the way that he helped me to choose a carpet. He would put the samples into the window so I could see them in daylight. He also went through which ones would be available in the time frame that I had and arranged the for the fitting on my choice of fitting.

Knowledgeable sales person Paul, good amount of choice and was very easy to order and arrange fitting

Jason was very helpful at your Gillingham branch. He looked through the computer records to see the carpet we previously ordered in 2021, as we wanted to match it in our other bedrooms.
