What was, a number of years ago, a really good radio channel that we could listen to every day. Its been highjacked - over Christmas was the final straw with its encouragement of gambling to win “life changing amounts”. This looks like it will be a regular daily/weekly/monthly feature. …. and every presenter seems to overjoyed to share this with us. We have overlooked(suffered) the down grade of presenters but enough is enough. It seems the only way to make our point is to “stop listening”. Happy to read any comments for a proper high quality replacement.

What has happened to Classic FM that I once found a station that instilled a bit of peace and tranquility in a crazy world. Just turned it off again, as music being played I would expect at a funeral. Aled Jones seems to pop up relentlessly, often with Coral Music which in my mind is not classical. Such a shame.

Sick to death of their bloody raffles being aired every 10 minutes and a very repetitive repertoire. If they would prefer another channel to do what they are supposed to do many listeners would be happy to change.

I entirely agree with the comments about the Cash Call, it has been ABSOLUTELY awful and now it is going on in January. It is so obtrusive and I wish, as others, money was going to charity.

Cash Call ruined Christmas for me. It’s CONSTANT! It doesn’t exactly appeal to the best instincts in people, does it? If it had been for charity well, fair enough, but it’s just a money making scam. I hoped it would be over by New Year but no, it appears to be every month now. I generally liked the music and most of the presenters (though what Dan Walker knows about classical music is anyone’s guess…). How can these people prostitute their talent appealing to peoples’ greed? Well, no longer,I’ve deleted the app and moved to BBC3.

I’ve been a regular Classic FM listener for many years, but the experience over Christmas, New Year and now well into January has been seriously undermined by the relentless promotion of their cash competition.

The frequency and repetition of these announcements is excessive and intrusive. Even allowing for the festive period, it’s disappointing that this has continued long after Christmas with no sign of easing.

I’m also uneasy about the nature of a paid-entry cash competition being promoted so aggressively, which raises legitimate concerns about the encouragement of gambling - something that feels completely out of place for a station that presents itself as calm, cultural and inclusive. Who would have thought that Classic FM would be come a gambling den!

I should say, I'm not totally anti-gambling (in the right place) and Classic FM still has much to offer, but unless these cash competitions come to an end, I’ll be looking elsewhere for my classical music listening.

It’s no longer possible to listen to Classic FM on an apple Homepod. It’s been like this for a couple of months.

I can't understand why Classic FM are giving away thousands of pounds to random listeners... It's up to half a million next week. It's appalling, they have no idea who it is going to, they may be filthy rich already! Give it to charity if the station has so much spare cash. Luring listeners with the bribe of thousands of £? I'm appalled

What I am about to bring to light does not only cover Classic FM but all the radio and television stations that are at this time of year pushing competitions for large sums of money to be won. They take in the elderly which I have a close dealings with who spend hundreds of pounds on these competitions which is wrong because they do not have banking apps so will never be able to access the money even if they do win.
Most are still using old phones. It's so wrong that itv, Classic FM Smooth radio and many others are encouraging this.
Always the elderly are the ones wasting their money on these competitions every day. Wrong!

The music selection on Classic FM is OK, if limited in range (the film music relays endlessly scores from Pirates of the Caribbean and Star Wars). However the inane adverts drive me nuts and I always switch to a non-commercial station when they are on. Radio 3 is an alternative but overall a tad too highbrow for my perhaps populist classical music tastes. However, I have just discovered 'Classical Mood Live' internet station which (so far) seems to provide the type of classical music I like to have in the background without ads and prattling compères. I've been listening to it for only a few days, but so far so good........

Normally enjoy classic fms programmes but why on earth are we subjected to Christmas carols in November . I suspect the next month will be overloaded with such . Christmas eve and day .yes but I'm afraid anymore a real turn off !

Some good music and presenters. The odd presenter can't even speak clearly. The gambling strategy abhorrent. The repeated news extremely boring. Some good ads but some are unbearable to listen to.

Classic FM is the only radio station I listen to — even when I’m overseas on business. I have it on at night while I sleep because it’s genuinely soothing, and I absolutely love the music, the presenters, and the whole atmosphere of the station. It’s consistently calming, familiar, and beautifully curated.

My only real frustration — and it’s the same no matter where I’m listening (smart speaker, phone, car, laptop) — is the adverts. The sudden jump in volume is jarring, especially in the evening or late at night. I love everything about Classic FM… except the ads blasting like they’re trying to wake the whole neighbourhood.

After years of listening to ClassicFM, we've given up and gone to BBC 3 unwind.

The main reason for switching is the seemingly increase of the number of advertising slots and the length of them.

Also it's time ClassicFM bought some new CDs rather than the half dozen they have.

The news seems to be a direct copy of the days news on the BBC web site.

And why do presenters have to keep telling us who they are.

Each and every hourly report is anti government and negative despite other important news issues ,this last 3 weeks a certain name Farage or Reform party are mentioned in all bulletins always in a positive manner, it’s now a complete turn off

Evening programs after 7 with Zeb are great. The news segments are incredibly right wing though. Almost laughably so. Such a shame as it's its making me question whether I'll keep listening (which ive been doing since the 90s).

Love Classic FM most of the time but the inane advertising drives me crazy. The repetition is awful, same adverts over and over. Luckily when they start I just turn down the volume on my radio but it is a nuisance. Sorry many people seem not to like Dan Walker in the mornings but I like listening to him the most. Takes all sorts.

Love the music...hate the intrusive adverts especially on the late calm classics slot...all relaxed and then loud unnecessary adds.. can you at least stop them for this show? Also Myleen, your constant mumbling on Friday and Saturday evenings drives me nuts! You spoil what should be the relaxation after a busy week .

Classic FM! Switching off now!!! Land of Hope and Glory… Elgar Pomp and Circumstance… ..whatever…slaves and British exploitation.

It used to be great but now the same music over and over again. Save me from the Lark Ascending, Barber , Out of Africa, Star Wars . I have a list. Presenters - does Aled Jones do every slot now. Can we have ones that can actually do the job properly .
