Typical letting agency that will use 'Cleaning' as a way to subtract from your deposit. And will not reply when you ask for an itemised receipt of what needs cleaned, as you have had it professionally cleaned and found it in the same state as you moved in

After an increasingly exhaustive search for a home for myself and my children in Clarkston I was beginning to give up. After another knock back Marie in the Clarkston branch let me know about a home that was about to come on the market and two days later I had been able to put an offer in off market and secured the perfect home for my family. Kieran MacLean is a credit to the team here at Clyde. A very friendly and approachable character who’s diligent with his work. I hope his work ethic and client centred approach is appreciated internally as it is externally. This chap will do well in his career.

Advising how good Clyde Property think the services they offer to potential clients as well as not being slow in telling how good they think they are, compared to their competitors, is a fair reflection of the initial impression of meeting a representative of Clyde Property..

Overall I consider they did an adequate job selling a four bedroom flat close to Glasgow University, however, have certain reservations regarding aspects of their services

Be very careful believing the estimated value price they consider your property may realise and its marketability. Everybody wants to hear their property will realise a high sales price however be very careful with what you believe. It’s only human nature to believe that your property will achieve a price at the higher end of any range. You will be advised by Clyde Property the usual caveats re price to manage your expectations, however worth considering getting price estimates from a number of agents so you a meaningful comparison

Of particular concern was an offer was accepted by ourselves late on a Friday afternoon with a further viewing over the forthcoming weekend. We were not advised that the property would be taken off the market even although critical details of the offer, including entry date, had yet to be agreed.

When this occurred, we were told this was normal practice but clearly it shouldn’t be as vital aspects of the sale had not been agreed.
Only found out the property was off the market when I visited the Clyde website!!!

Clyde Property were very defensive when challenged on the withdrawal of the property for sale and we were advised this was standard practice !!!

One certainly got the impression that Clyde Property were just keen to have a potential sale in place, the sale price achieved at the lower estimated range with fewer viewers than had been anticipated

The overall viewing of the property producing our schedules and other sales material was very well managed as was feedback from Clyde Property,

it took close to 3 months to agree a an entry date …Not good.

The 3 star rating reflects Clyde Property’s shortcomings

Not a usual straightforward house purchase, couldn’t have done it without the specialised expertise of the team at Clyde, a well deserved thank you goes to all concerned.

We had a great experience with Stuart and Jamie. Both were helpful and informative helping us make key decisions. During viewing Jamie was supportive, responsive and kept us up to date. He provided excellent guidance. They both helped reduce the anxiety and stress levels.

TENANTS BEWARE!!

Please my fellow tenants, please take into serious consideration the tenancy of a property with an Estate Agent like this.

Firstly, their sole prerogative is to ensure the self interest of themselves and landlords. Happy to let out substandard properties, with poor heating, insulation and ventilation.
On routine inspections they would highlight the uncleanliness and failed to highlight the mould growth on windows and interfaces which leads to the slow death diseases like aspergillosis and to 'take a cloth to it'.

On exiting the property I have had a surmountable part of my deposit of £1,350 taken for the following reasons.
1. £342 for the cleaning of the property.
This is a mandatory procedure by Bonnie & Clyde, as they have a subsidiary cleaning company owned by themselves, clearly as a racket in exploiting tenants. Regardless in how clean you leave the flat.

2.£480 in damage. This again, was illustrated that allegedly there was a small hole in a cupboard, mould growth on curtains which attributed to their demise and a blocked dishwasher drain pipe.  All of which wasn't stated on the post exit inspection.

3. £240 in not seeking the approval of painting the flat and leaving an unsatisfactory finish. Yes, believe it. The property I received was a battered Manhattan Grey, covered with stickers, holes and Velcro. Yet, somehow painting it without their permission will result not only in labour and paint costs, but an additional fine for following the rules.

4. £100 for the removal some cleaning products, a toilet brush and a knife. Must have had to call in the A team for that. I would have imagined the bin liner cost in that itemised billing as £50 and £50 for the inconvenience.  

Please, if unfortunate to be in the premises of a Bonnie & Clyde Letting, take lots of pictures and store them. You will require this at a later date. Also, report everything and have it recorded.

When dealing with Deposit Safety Scotland, monitor the process vigilantly as like me, you will not receive notification of your opportunity in evidencing your side of the bargain. Therefore, lose the disputed outstanding balance.

For those at Bonnie & Clyde, don't expect me to call you and discuss this matter. You want me to discuss anything with you, I am happy to go to an online platform for everyone to see in providing honesty and transparency. Let the audience see who is telling the truth and who they deem to be fair and honest.

For prospective sellers, I can understand their immorality and parasitical nature would naturally be of a benefit to you. I'm sure they are wonderful at it. If you do have a sense of social responsibility and have an ounce of morality, think twice in choosing Bonnie and Clyde!
