I’ve been ordering my contact lenses…

I’ve been ordering my contact lenses from contactlens.com for a few months now, and I’ve been really happy with their service. The prices are usually better than what I find at my eye doctor’s office, and they often have discounts or promotions running. Shipping is quick—I got my last order in just three days. The lenses are always sealed and fresh, just like you’d expect from a reliable company. Highly recommend for anyone looking to save a little without compromising quality!

Exceptional Customer Service Experience

The Customer Service( Melissa) experience was exceptional. There was an issue with USPS delivery. I contacted Customer Service and she/ the team stayed with me every step of the way. The communications were both prompt and extremely helpful. In fact, the Customer Service team took a great deal of initiative in helping me solve the issue. It was clear to me throughout the process that solving the situation was as important to the Customer Service team as it was to me.

Has gone downhill

I liked buying from this company for a long time. Their website is easy to use and reorder from. But this time my experience was not good.

I ordered lenses on 12/4 - the website didn't show that they were out of stock. I wrote a few days later to see what was happening because the order showed as still processing. On 12/8 they told me they didn't have them because they say they're discontinued - but they'd get them "any day" from another company. I asked if delivery could be expedited after all this time.

It looks like they created a label on 12/19 - didn't give to the post office until 12/22 - and sent it *UPS Ground* at the height of XMas rush. So after keeping me on the hook that I'd get them any day after 12/8, I am now supposed to get them on 12/28 according to the tracking.

I would of course have bought from another company had I realized they were: 1. out of stock; and then 2. not going to ship them ASAP. They did answer messages so I'm giving 2 stars for that - but lesson learned! I'm ordering now from a company I've used before that ships same day & has them in stock - I'm paying for overnight shipping because I've been waiting so long - and I bet they'll still be here ahead of the Contactlens.com lenses I ordered 4 weeks earlier...

Long time customer Dr. Alyssa S. placed an order for a recently discontinued product on 12/4. We advised her the power she ordered was not in stock and if she approved we could special order that specific power however due to the relative scarcity of the remaining stock it would be several weeks before it would come in. Dr. S said she was OK with delivery time and was routinely updated. We advised the product would arrive 12/19, it did and was shipped USPS First Class Mail as ordered that same day. The order was delivered 12/26 four business days 3000 miles away AND during the Christmas rush. A seriously outstanding USPS performance considering the distance and mail volume at that time of year!
We also advised Dr. S since her contacts are discontinued there are more modern lens choices for significantly lower cost that perform much better; the main reason her lens was discontinued. We did exactly as we said, Dr. S was frequently updated and once shipped delivered promptly. We are always interested in how and where we can improve our communications to make things as clear as possible and welcome the input.

Poor Customer service - deserves 0 or -1

If there was a 0 or -1 to give, I would. 1 was the lowest I can go.

9/16/23 - contacts were ordered but it came in wrong. Shipped it back right away based on return shipping label on 9/25. They received this on 9/29. It took another week to ship them on 10/5 with no communications no matter how often I contacted them.

I finally got the right contacts that I ordered on 10/10 nearly 1 month later. The service is poor and grade F.

Contactlens.com asked for more info on TrustPilot behalf or they would delete my review if I don't provide more info.

Upon providing the info, Contactlens.com terminated my account and didn't reach to do anything else or understand the situation as original portray to me for more info.

Creating a label and sitting on it for 4 business days is NOT shipping it. When I asked questions, I don't get a proper response, only automated email. Also why do I need to wait till the wrong product was shipped back?? No one could tell me.

I've been a long customer of Contactlens.com >5-6 years and terminating my account and loyalty isn't my expectations of "good customer service". They were given ample opportunities to make it right and expedite my correct contacts.

If we can't give honest review here w/o getting specific info out and receiving ramifications, I'm not sure that is reasonable.

If this is how we are to be treated pre and post bad services, I would highly recommend to
STAY AWAY from Contactlens.com.

There are so many other options these days.....

(PS - please remove my full name - I didn't see this prior and respectfully don't appreciate being called out like that). "The customer" or similar would be sufficient.

1. Contactlens.com has breached my privacy by stating my full name (even though I've asked them to remove it).
2. Contactlens.com has also breached other Trustpilot policy that wont' be mentioned here.

Let it be told and the people that read reviews can decide on their own. When Contactlens.com sends an email

+ I can't login to my account, I believe I don't have ANY other choice but to conclude that my account indeed has been closed / terminated.
9/16/2023 = order contacts
9/22/2023 = received original order (but wrong)
9/25/2023 = sent wrong contacts back
9/29/2023 = wrong contacts received
10/5/2023 = correct contact shipped
10/10/2023 = correct contact received
10/13/2023 = Trustpilot review submitted

I have actual business transaction to confirm all the above dates. In addition, Amazon and others would send the correct product immediately and the consumer would have to pay for the items if they do NOT return the wrong items.

I am hoping to share my honest experience with others so we can all avoid the amount of frustration in these type of transactions. It is ironic how quickly Contactlens.com respond in the public eyes vs during normal personal business transaction out of public eyes.

In conclusion, based on these observed facts, I did NOT have good experience with Contactlens.com during and post shipment + this whole review process. Therefore, I can NOT recommend this company.

Lol....38 messages????. That is too funny! I believe it was just a handful or 6-8 messages across 2+ weeks.

I notice my name has NOT been removed. Trustpilot has been contact and may assist with this along with other breaching of Trustpilot's policy.

Parting ways is best once Trustpilot assist with my final requests unless Contactlens.com "chooses" to do the right thing on their own behalf and immediately remove my name as a breach of my privacy. It is a fair and reasonable request as an American and individual that values customer service.

Thank you Trustpilot for the protecting our reviewers. Trustpilot assisted with Contactlens.com violating my privacy by stating my full name in their review and have deleted Contactlens.com's review.

There was other violation, but we won't get into the details here.

Sorry for the long winded review and appreciated those that took the time to read an honest feedback. If it helps other's from feeling helpless and frustrated on dealing with poor customer service, this review platform has served its purpose.

Contactlens.com has lost customer service integrity over the years and I wish them well to gain this back for their current and future customers.

Customer SB was indeed sent the incorrect contacts. Entirely our fault. Upon notification we immediately emailed a prepaid return label. The return can then be placed in the mailbox, all without leaving the house. We received the order back late on a Friday and reshipped the following business day. We kept Mr. SB advised of the progress the entire time while trying to reasonably respond to his constant emails, some several times a day. The entire process from his receipt of the incorrect order to reshipment of the correct order took seven business days, longer than normal due only to customer’s remote Iowa location. We do on occasion make mistakes; we correct them immediately and entirely at our expense as it should be. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenienced caused.
Update: We have many highly valued customers that require assistance. We could not respond to each of the literally 38 messages sent (obvious from the review no?). You were immediately emailed a prepaid label and were advised your order would be replaced when received. Like any retailer you have to return the product before it's refunded or replaced. We received the return late Friday 9/29 and reshipped Monday 10/2. As far as Amazon is concerned they would send you a prepaid label, require you to return the incorrect product and reorder. We gave you that same option. Although we do not take this step lightly we feel it’s in our mutual best interests to part ways. We sincerely thank you for your past patronage and wish your next contact lens supplier our sincere condolences.

I ordered contact 3 weeks ago

I ordered contact 3 weeks ago. My order still says processing. They got the money that night though. When I emailed them a week ago they said my prescription is not common have to order direct from the manufacturer. I've had this prescription for 4 years and I've never had a problem ordering it from any other company. I will never order from them again. I wont wait a month for contacts that I can order from somewhere else and get them in a week. My eye doctor had them in stock in the office for God's sake. I was able to get a pair while I waited for these since they're taking so long.

Your order shipped yesterday and you were sent tracking info the second it was available. We apologize for the delay however with a very complicated lens like yours we are at the mercy of the manufacturer. Once your order is verified, which we did without delay, all we or even your doctor can do is place the order with the manufacturer and it's up to them to fulfill the order.
Your order is for what's called a Toric lens, that type of prescription has FIVE different parameters, there are over 10,000 possible prescriptions for just this one lens! We obviously cannot stock every single one of those prescriptions. If we don’t have it in stock it must be ordered specifically for each customer. Your particular prescription is very uncommon, so much so it's likely unique to you in the entire world so you will always experience some delay. Largely it depends on what the manufacturer has available at the time the order is placed.
During the process you were advised of the delay, we answered each of your emails and kept you informed of the progress. You had the option at any time to cancel your order and receive a full refund. In any case your order is now complete. Please know we did our best, we understand from your perspective our best wasn’t good enough and for that we sincerely apologize.

Shipping time

Ordering, prices are great. Simple. But I'm a little disappointed in the shipping time. Purchase date was June 15 and it's June 25th.. still no contacts delivered!! Seriously.. very disappointed

Your order was placed late Thursday June 15th and began the prescription verification process Friday June 16th. Prescription verification legally cannot be started or completed on weekends when doctor’s offices may be closed, nor on Federal Holidays like June 19th for the same reason.
Your prescription completed verification and shipped First Class mail as selected on June 20th and you were emailed USPS tracking number 9400109205568499942581 that same day. Your order is currently in transit to rather remote Jacksonville, North Carolina, 28540. We expect your order be delivered shortly however we have no control over how quickly a First Class mail order is delivered to a location USPS considers “remote”.
