We were traveling from near Fort William (Scotland) to near Birmingham (England) alight came on to say I had low pressure in one or more tyres. I could not find how to work the warning. Falkirk happened to be the next town and when we got there we used Google to find somewhere that could check the fault. We phoned Dandg (one of the best things I have ever done)They directed me to their unit sorted my problems set the tyre pressures and directed me back to the motorway and all done at max haste. The charge was Nothing Zero Zilch I left a small donation to a hangover but I was far to mean for their GENEROSITY.

Got my car towed here after it wouldnt…

Got my car towed here after it wouldnt start no warning, nothing. It sat for days before they even looked at it. Then said they think it might be the wet belt. Its a 2019 ford focus diesel it doesnt even have a wet belt! Then said it might be this it might be that and then said they would need to strip the engine. Lost all confidence in them by that point! Needless to say got someone to lift the car and took elsewhere!

Beware, check your car for damage at collection

Falkirk branch.

CAUTION: D&G can damage your vehicle and claim it wasn’t them. If you use the Falkirk branch (I suggest you don’t), I strongly recommend using your phone to record a walkround video of your car at drop off, then checking it again on collection. Stupidly, I didn’t…

My car was with D&G for MOT on 17/12/25 (Invoice FK144059). I’d used them before so didn’t think to check my car before/after as I trusted them. Car went in perfect, car returned to me with damage: two dents, one either side of the bonnet badge. A PDR technician’s opinion is this damage is 100% consistent with pushing down on the bonnet to close it. The correct method to close a car bonnet is drop it from a small height, NOT press down on it by hand.

D&G deny liability because I didn’t report the damage before driving off their premises. I drove directly home (approx 2 miles) and didn’t notice and report the damage until the next day. Between arriving home and noticing the damage, my car didn’t move from my CCTV-covered driveway. i.e. I can prove the damage didn’t occur in my possession. But that’s not good enough for D&G.

So like I say, use at your own risk.

Utterly frustrated and certainly won’t recommend or return to D&G. Discussed it with their ‘Operations Manager’ but they continue to deny liability.

Don't bother

Took my car for MOT, it needed work it to pass so I paid, work done, car back the road. It did have a few advisory notes, but NOT for the rear offside brake line. So now I have no car and no way of getting it up to them to look at. They were not helpful at all.

Overcharged and poor management

My ex partner recently took her car to D&G Inverkeithing as she noticed a knock from the rear. Was charged £526.60 for a front suspension arm, tie rod end and wheel alignment. Over £300 charge for labour for work that should take a maximum 1.5 hours and that’s with issues. May I also add the problem still there. Upon calling the “ operations manager “ at head office she was told “ if your not happy at the price don’t use us again”

All proof i.e Registration number and invoice number have already been sent to D&G Autocare head office.

I have had no communication from D&G Autocare and as such they have decided to block me rather than communicate which is both immature and unprofessional. I’ll be submitting my findings to Motor Ombudsman.

Great Service

Took my BMW 3 series in for its first service, D&G Dunfermline done a great job, was in communication throughout letting me know how long it would take, and when it was ready. Even picked up a minor fault and gave advice on fixing it.

D&G autocare Edinburgh! Great customer service

I recently had a bit of a mishap with a flat tyre while out and about in Edinburgh, so I took my car straight to D&G Autocare on Stevenson Road. What could have been a stressful day turned into a breeze thanks to their incredible team! They were so efficient—they assessed the issue right away, and within just a few hours on the same day, Scott had ordered the new tyres and got them fitted perfectly. No waiting around or follow-up appointments needed.

The quality of their work is always top-notch; I've trusted them with my vehicle multiple times now, and I’ll never hesitate to go back. What really stands out, though, is their amazing customer service. Everyone there is so friendly and approachable, making the whole process feel stress-free.

A special shoutout to Scott Ritchie—he's been an absolute star every time I've called to inquire about services or updates. He's knowledgeable, patient, and genuinely helpful, which makes all the difference.

If you're in Edinburgh and need reliable garage, I highly recommend D&G Autocare!

Outstanding Service!

My car had failed its MOT at a well known car dealership and I was quoted over £700 to fix it. Upon taking my car to D&G Autocare in Stirling they managed to repair the problem, replace the damaged parts and put it through another MOT for half of that price the very same day. The mechanic even took the time to explain to me the issues and how they were solved. I honestly can’t thank D&G enough they were excellent and it’s where I’ll be taking my car for repairs from now on! All of the staff were friendly and couldn’t do more to help me. Outstanding service!

Flat tyre

My tyre was flat due to a large screw embedded in it. On phoning D & G in Inverkeithing they said to bring it down and they would fit me in despite it being near to closing time. The young guy who dealt with me was called Ryan and he was very polite and professional. As I had had to pump the tyre up before getting there and having never done it before I was feeling a bit anxious. Ryan was very calming and told me not to worry as they would fix it, which they did.
I have used the Inverkeithing garage before and always have had a pleasant experience.
Sorry for taking so long to put my review up.

Excellent Service

Very impressed with the professional and efficient approach D&G Autocare, Stevenson Road, Edinburgh displayed right from my initial contact.
From originally reaching out, to my car rolling off a flatbed recovery truck one morning and resolving the issue by the end of that same day, Scott and colleagues were pleasant and reassuring throughout. A most competent and capable team.
The service was first-class and I would positively recommend them to anyone looking for reliable and professional automobile assistance.

Top-Notch Service from Dereck at D & G Pitreavie – Highly Recommend!

We’ve been using D and G Pitreavie for our company car services for quite some time now, and I’ve always been impressed with their professionalism and great customer care.

But the reason I’m leaving this review is because of the exceptional service I received the other day. I went to collect a repaired car, but I was running late and the colleague who was supposed to come with me couldn’t make it. I decided to go alone, planning to figure out how to get both cars back later.

When I arrived, Dereck noticed I’d come by myself — and this was just as they were about to close. After I got my keys, I sat for a bit trying to work out what to do. Dereck saw I was in a bit of a situation, came over to check if I was okay, and when I explained, he immediately offered to help me drop one car off at our office and then bring him back.

That’s above and beyond any normal level of service — a genuine act of kindness and selflessness. He could have easily gone home, but instead, he changed his plans to help me out.

A huge thank you to Dereck — you’re a credit to the company. D and G Pitreavie is the best because of people like you!
