If I could have put a negative score, I would have. Pure thievery and scam.
They initially promise a very high ROI, then they start finding excuses why the ROI is less than 5% of the claimed ROI.
Obviously, because the sum of money you earn is so low, they don't pay you and keep contacting you many times so that you invest more.
Then, the ROI decreases further.
In 6 years, the ROI was 0.26% (when they claimed 26%).
Then, even though the contract says they will but back the container after 5 years, they don't. You can contact them a thousand times. They will always buy time.

I have been scammed! I received lease money for 1 year from the containers then it stopped. After my five year contract was up my containers have not been sold as per contract and I’ve lost about £11,000. I have contacted them numerous times but I’m fobbed off.

Don't bother with the financial ombudsman either, they won't help me, my case is under final decision, that was back in October 2023, heard nothing since, I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT MY OWN COUNTRY WON'T HELP, it makes me sick.
There has got to be someone who can help

Scam scam scam I invested into a few containers they sent contract information I signed up in 2015 then after one year the stop communication it’s now 2023 not a cent recovered and you can’t do anything because they are an international company money gone down the drain.
I got in contact with some people in the same situation who have got some money back with some lawyer in the UK I’m in Australia I need to find a Lawyer in Australia.

I have invested over 1.1 million in Daven port Laroch containers. I own 280 containers. When the covoid19 hit my monthly income went down to zero and has been there ever since. I don't get updates. The last time I asked about my income and money they asked me to invest more, for a swap for oil containers. I said no as this would be the third time i invested more for a swap and a monthly income. I have containers in reputable sites like the Japan railway, south Korean airport and a shipping company. They are operational sites and no income is being recieved. Its been 3 years since i have had a monthly income and no reason why. I have spoken to a barrister and have asked for my signed lease agreements, they said soon. 2 weeks later I'm still waiting. I have to ask several times a month for a monthly statement even thou i know its making nothing.

do not invest in this company , if you already have then i was lucky to get curee .pub to help me get it all back.do not suffer in silence.seek help now like i did

I have had the same experience as every other person. I asked for my containers to be sold as per contract. But they have not been able to find buyers. I am receiving 0.01% return every month and no reply to any of my emails.
I would stay away from this company.

Contract has ended but they refuse to purchase our containers as stated in our contract. If not resolved will lose £11,000. Disgusted and seeking ombudsman

Fake business. Do not make the mistake to deal with them.
My advice: Before buying, call them and tell you want to sell your container as your leasing contract has finished. You will understand what I mean.

DO NOT INVEST - SCAM ALERT - I'VE LOST $9,000USD

Their website is FALSE and MISLEADING. I have held my 2 containers for well over 6 years. At 4 years (as initially agreed) I decided I wanted out and have my initial investment returned. Apparently the containers were in war-torn Yemen. Only way was to sign up again as I refused to give them extra money. This is the latest statement, as it has been for the last 8 months since "renewing."

I agree with the reviews of this company. My experience with them is similar to everyone else here. Whatever you, do not invest with Davenport Laroche; unless you are keen to lose your capital, in which case, you should just set your money on fire.

They will get you some good profit, once or twice. Then, every month they will send you a statement with $0.56 for rest of your contract with them. I keep reading about a shortage of containers around the world, how come these people make no money for more than 3 years. My view is that they are lying.

And if you try to sell your cpntainers as per the contract, good luck with that, mate. I sent them many emails asking them to sell my containers as per the contract if they are not making any money. Did they do it? Nope. No response. I had to give up. During a container shortage around the world, how is it that they can't sell just two containers?

If you are reading these reviews before you invest, you are smart and lucky. Listen to what you are reading. I wish I had researched this company and read these reviews before I threw my hard earned money away.

And now that Hong Kong is under complete Chinese control, only by the grace of God will others and myself ever get our money back. There is no way to hold them accountable for their lying asses.

Absolutely terrible company. Have lost thousands with them. Have numerous emails about sending money, whenever you call you, no one is in the office and you get no response. Only had one email outside of lying monthly statements.....avoid at all costs

I invested with them, took time to get the first dividend, later on they stop sending it. Tried to call/contact my account manager without success. They still sending me statements but no replies to my calls & emails…AR

DO NOT INVEST IN THIS COMPANY - This company tries to get to you to invest more and more - but they are basically thieves, they might pay you some 'interest' for a few months to try to entice you to buy more, but when you refuse - that's it, no more interest. I have my sincere doubts in Trustpilot too - they give 2.3 out of 5, yet every review here is appalling and only gives 1 out of 5 - I'd give negative if I could.

Like others have stated on here, this mob are thieves and liars and I hope they will eventually pay for their despicable actions. I doubt the actual containers even exist. Davenport is headed by an ex Bear Stearns employee (enough said!!) who, along with the Accountant, reside in London. The ones in Hong Kong just do the dirty work. Invest (or gamble) only with $$$ you can afford to lose...because you will.

Unfortunately my experience is the same as the others in this review. Complete Scam. Do not use this company.

Never respond to phone or emails.
They Dont buyback despite the written guarantee

I lost my money with Davenport...
They attract me to buy only one container and pay me back very high income more that 15-20% then when i get in and bought more and more containers until i have no more money to invest they start reduce the profit suddenly to less than 1% and when i ask about reasons they start excuse and excuses

They always tell me solution where you have to pay more money like trade in my containers, never put your money there

TOTAL SCAM
looked and sounded legitimate/professional so I contacted, 'researched' and invested £45,000 2007.
Received some return for 12 months before abruptly drying up with no explanation.
Contacting Hong Kong office just got excuse after excuse with no interest.
So tried to sell investment, again nothing. No action, no assistance. Lost lots of sleep and worry about it and feel foolish. Please avoid these terrible people.
