I would rate zero stars if possible
I would rate zero stars if possible. I’ve had the worst experience with this company and their customer service that I’ve ever had. I ordered an item 11 weeks ago, it was said to be arriving within 10 days of the order being placed. Those 10 days came and went, I emailed customer service, to which I was given another date and an apology. That date came and went and so I emailed again, this has happened 5 times since I originally ordered their product. No explanations as to why I hadn’t received my item just apologies. It was always me making the contact with them, never the opposite way round, always me chasing it up. It is now 11 weeks later, I am still without my item and have just had to ask for a refund. I’m a very relaxed person when it comes to these things usually, I understand that we are just coming out of a global pandemic and so things like this may be a little uncertain and take a little longer, however, the lack of reassurance from them and the sheer amount of time that has passed is just unacceptable. Absolutely terrible company, do not recommend!
Disappointment at Every Level
Purchased a shop demo Roland Fantom, the Item was incorrectly packaged for shipping, I had to pay extra to the shipping company for them to repackage, when the item arrived it did not work, no product support from Dawson’s, I had to use Rolands Backstage who were unable to resolve the issue and recommended I return it. The process of trying to get a solution and return a faulty item has been both expensive, painful and slow. Very disappointed in Dawson’s, it’s a name I’ve known since childhood but my first experience with them will definitely be my last.

Squire Stratocaster
I bought a Squier Stratocaster pack, plus a guitar case online. I spoke beforehand to an advisor, who was really helpful and answered all my questions. The price was great , due in part to the amp being a different brand - but everything arrived in time. One of the pins on the plus was bent, but rather than return everything I just straightened it - everything works perfectly and the sound is brilliant. Guitar is great quality, and the amp is more than loud/ clear enough to wake the neighbours. There’s also a headphone socket so my son can practice whenever he wants. So great service, I’d certainly use Dawson’s again.

Although the book took longer than expected to arrive because it was on back order, the communication was excellent.
Very poor communication, incorrect website info
I ordered a double bass that said 10 days delivery due Mon 26th or Tues 27th July. When the order went through it said sit back and relax we will sort you order (suggesting it would arrive on the days stated) a month later it has still not arrived. I planned a holiday around the delivery dates stated when ordering and got no communication to say it would late. I have only found out what was happening when I contacted customer service on the day it was due for delivery to find out when it was arriving as I was waiting at home for the expected delivery promised on ordering. I think that you should be contacted when they can not fulfil an agreement I shouldn’t have to be chasing for information. Very poor customer service from the company. I wonder if I will find out when it will be delivered?

You only got this for answering my emails so quickly. I am not happy that you advertise items you do not have in stock or can easily get quickly.
Never received the item
I have given one star because I ordered a guitar amplifier for my father, paid for it, and never received it. When I called to follow up on the shipment over a week later, it turns out that Dawson’s had actually sold out of the amplifier, even though it was seen as available online and my card was charged. I managed to get a refund but surely if it’s sold out, it should say so on the website and prevent customers from ordering and paying for an item that is unavailable.

Guitar never dispatched
I confirmed my order for the guitar I received an email telling me it would be about 10 days & I would receive an email once dispatched. That email never came I contacted through the customer service email. I was ignored. I tried to phone nobody picked the phone up in business hours in the end I phoned a store to see if the company was still trading.
The store was extremely helpful & said they would leave a message for online customer service to contact me & they did, to tell me the guitar wasn't in stock, but it was clearly in stock when ordered. I think Dawson's really need to review how they do business online. My experience isn't an isolated incident I wouldn't have the confidence to order from them again.
