I work on Design Contest and full-time Graphic Designer.
I'm really recommended this site for any company who need a logo, Stationary, website, Brochure, Flyer, Business card etc. It connects me with client globally. Good plant form who want to work as Freelancer.
Nice environment, Friendly management & Relaxing task management.
It was really an amazing experience for me to learn something new from Design Contest.

If you are a self-respecting designer, save yourself the frustration and avoid this site at all costs. With no exaggeration, 99% of the time you get no feedback from the "client", or contest holder, so you waste a ton of time guessing in which direction your designs are headed. You are basically designing for pennies on the dollar if you even manage to win one or two contests. It's an insult.
If you are a company looking for a mediocre (and sometimes downright awful) design for on the cheap, this site fits the bill. Occasionally, I'll see an agency-quality design, but that's maybe 2% of the logos submitted. Avoid this site if you value your company's image. You get what you pay for.

I have used Design Contest for 6 different logo contests. Each time we received a variety of designs and it was very fun rating them, making changes and deciding on a winner in the end. I did have an issue after choosing a winner one time to get certain file format but we resolved it in the end. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a logo!

I heard of Designcontest.com word of mouth from a colleague and friends. I was in need of a new logo for a business startup so I decided to try it. I am glad I did. The process was easy to get started and right away we began to get quality submissions. The more I interacted with the site, contest and designers, the more submissions and increasing quality I got in return. We had many great choices to choose from and the site interface made it easy and quick to communicate and upload samples of what we were looking for. By the end, we had a favorite chosen and was able to continue to work with our chosen design/designer to finalize our graphic the way we needed. The price was very reasonable for all of the options it offered. We had some questions at the end our contest and the customer service was excellent. They went above and beyond to help us reach a satisfactory final product. I was surprised at how quick and how positive the customer service experience was, as it is hard to find these days, especially with online impersonal transactions. I will definitely recommend this site and we will be using it again for our future graphics needs.

I was really fired up to have this recommended site sponsor 2 design contests. Their website screwed up and said my phone number didn't exist. I contacted their call center in Ukraine and spent 20 minutes getting that resolved.

Then I thought I was happily on my way. wrong. I sponsored a competition at my custom-selected dollar value. When the competition posted, it wasn't the proper amount. So I entered the correct amount and promptly charged my credit card for BOTH amounts. Even then, it was way wrong. I jacked with this for hours. Reversing the charges would take 3 days, even though it took 5 seconds for them to charge me.

The call center kept insisting that she was the ONLY person in the company who could resolve my problem. After I called American Express and had them reverse, I received a call within a couple of minutes from a lady who was "on vacation" but calling to see what's up. She got angry at me for reversing the charges. She said, "you cost us $25 for each reversal, that's $50".....no maam, YOU cost yourself $50 plus a thousand bucks worth of really cool design work.....DOUBLE THUMBS DOWN for DesignContest!!! Customer is KEY, and you guys don't even have a clue!!

I went to designcontest. com to get a logo designed for a new website. The process was easy and the artist were eager to please. I will definitely use them again.

I do not hesitate at all recommending Design Contest. It's one of the best discoveries I've made on Google.

Not only do you get access to thousands of artists, you have a direct live-chat line with a rep who is always willing to help, with a smile. I got the same rep each time, Ms Anastasia, and I could not be any happier with the service.

I am generally quite busy and thus appreciate the kind of service I get helping me navigate through their site quickly. I also do not spend much time writing reviews, but for Design Contest, I feel like sending this review in order to encourage more people to work with them.

I think it would be hard to go wrong with Design Contest.

This company worked with us from start to finish. They will go far beyond what would be expected from them if there is any issues. Sharie who works there and is a designer her self does great work and took the time to fix a project that we had. I wouldnt use another design company other then this one. This is a 3 start review because of the customer service, they are awesome and ready to help you be successful.

I think the contests are great for simple projects such as logos etc. My truck wrap had too many details to get the designers full attention and time invested. We did not achieve what we had hoped for: to have a print ready design. Two stars for that reason! Too many details I described in the brief were overlooked, like what side logos needed to be for example.

Also, I hoped for more professional designs. I expected basic graphic design points to be covered, and I picked them out as an amateur to be wrong for the eye. Some ideas were just off with colors, proportions etc. Some were so disorganized that I could barely find the important information like our name. Designs stretched out to the edge of the truck that didn't make sense and needed to be addressed individually. Again the truck has a lot of details to consider and plan around.

Communication was difficult at times to bring across my wishes. Wether this was due to language or my communication trying to explain, probably a bit of both. Once I had picked a winner, I had to keep bringing up the same issues again a couple of times. If all you need is a logo, you can just choose which ones you like and not. Not that much explaining and communication involved as here.

Maybe it would have helped to increase the winning prize, but after two weeks of explaining the same points over and over, I feel I am better off to spend the money with a local designer. I have to go to a designer where we can sit down and work on all those details that are still missing. It was just to complicated a project to get it all right over the web. I chose the best design to at least acknowledge the effort.

Sorry to write a bad review, I was so excited to get lots of ideas. In the end we only had 7 designers and after "un blinding" the contest they all looked similar. Thanks to the people that made an effort. A suggestions stays, to really study the brief next time.

I am a first time user and I would absolutely use designcontest.com again. We are a business that needed a new logo. We received over 100 quality designs and are very happy with the winner of our contest. The designer has been wonderful and easy to work with. I have reached out to Sharie Voss on several occasions and she is terrific. She responds within minutes to my emails and has been very helpful and courteous throughout this process. I highly recommend designcontest.com for the quality designers, price, and customer service!

My wife wanted to have a website built for my company for a surprise and contacted design contest for it. It was a surprise. after running a second contest we picked a design that was pretty good paid 600.00 then I found out that you do not get a working website just a picture of it. they offer to build it for an additional 1900.00 !!!! We contacted Sherie Voss she was rude and no help at all. Lucky for us this was the first contest the guy that designed the site for us had entered thru designcontest.com.He was a great guy and shocked they didn't want a working site when he did it.He built it for us and did a great job for a little of nothing

I did a competition on a logo and chose the medium cost competition and added a cost on that I would like the competition to stick out. I received 700 designs in 7 days and I would say that probably 25% of them looked so professional that I would have been happy to use any of those. The one I chose was very very professional and lived up to all the requirements I had written about the logo. More than satisfied. I will use them again in the future.

I was nervous to try this out. But I was very happy with the results. Some of the logos that were designed weren't quite what I was looking for, but I had a few that were difficult to choose from. I would use this service again!

Great experience and fun way to source design work.

We used DesignContest for the coding of our new website. The work was done to our full satisfaction in a very professional way in all respects from project management, cost control, timing to the execution of the coding.

Having stumbled onto Designcontest.com after consulting with other freelance designers.How refreshing indeed! I truly didn't expect such ease of use and diversity. User friendly personified. Over 50 designers submitted a wide range of creative images numbering over 125, in total. Voting was all the more difficult I must admit. In the end, stood what every business owner needs, an image that speaks for them. Satisfied with the experience and looking forward to having my website built here as well.

We used Design Contest and had great success. The final product was fantastic and working with the designers were great.

The customer service was also right on. THey responded quickly when I had a questions and were helpful in making the contest better.

Amazing! The process, the designs, and the professionalism of the designers all exceeded my expectations. A couple of days into the week-long contest there were approximately 50 designs, several of which I would have been very happy with. By the end I had over 200 designs from more than 30 designers to choose from. The winning designer presented his/her work in such a way that I could actually envision a complete marketing campaign emerging. And all I requested was a logo. The process of choosing was actually a bit daunting, as was watching the designers go head-to-head with one another. As I provided comments about what I liked and did not like, some designers revised their original concepts, others went back to the drawing board, and new designers jumped into the fray. Designers showed me what the designs would look like both against a white background and a black background, what they would look like on t-shirts, and how they looked in several font and color variations. It was amazing to watch. I am extremely happy with the result and am looking forward to working with the winning designer on a one-on-one project to take the concept to the next level.

Recently, our company decided to change its logo. We weren’t sure what direction we were going, but knew we wanted to choose from many designers. We setup a contest with DesignContest and within a few hours started receiving entries. It was great fun waking up every morning to new designs. In the end, we chose our logo design and proceeded to discuss minor revisions with the winning designer. At one point, we had an issue with the design and Sharie at DesignCenter stepped in and started communicating with the designer on our behalf. It turned out there was an issue with the logo design and the designer was unable to fix it, so Sharie listened to what we wanted and proceeded to design the logo in vector format herself to complete the project. In my opinion, she was extremely professional and pleasant and went above and beyond to make sure we were satisfied. We loved what she and the designer did and are very happy with our logo. If you are hesitant about having 100 something designers from around the world compete for your job, just know that DesignContest stands by their contests and will step in if you need help. I would recommend DesignContest and look forward to using them for other business ventures.
