Dobbies Garden Centres - Gosforth Opiniones 428

Visited Dobbies Gosforth on Friday morning and had a very disappointing visit. My two year old daughter and I met a friend with her little ones around 11:30. We joined the queue around 11:35 for coffee and scones and 20 minutes later we were eventually at the front of an incredibly slow queue! We could have understood the very slow service if people were having hot food and there was a long queue, but there were only a few of us in the queue, all having hot drinks and scones. When paying we were told we only had 45 minutes to use the soft play. The lady on the till explained that the soft play slots are now hourly and should be pre booked. We asked if we could have a full 60 minutes in the soft play because we had waited in the queue for so long and it wasn’t the little ones fault the service was very very slow! But no, 45 minutes unless we wanted to wait 45 minutes for the next session to begin! When we got in the softplay there was only one other family in there! We got talking to the family about the slow service and only having 45 mins to use the soft play, we all agreed we should raise our issues with a manager so they could feed back and hopefully improve the new system. We were then greeted by a very aggressive manager who didn’t seem to have any skills in dealing with customers! She was unbelievably rude to us, not in the slightest bit helpful and could have easily offered for us to use the softplay for 60 minutes given how quiet it was! We were promptly booted out after 45 mins despite no one else being in the softplay! We won’t be returning any time soon which is a real shame because we live so close and it was a handy softplay that my husband would regularly use with my little girl.

A great selection of most needed products for the garden , most plants in excellent condition . Resturant food can be disappointing though , very little choice especially the hot food , and the cakes leave a lot to be desired .

Lovely trip to Dobbies Gosforth Park and of course visit to the cafe first for a lovely coffee and then wander round the outdoor plants. Staff as always were very nice and friendly.

The sales assistant couldn't have been more helpful. It was very easy to arrange delivery and the furniture was delivered o time

The staff members were all excellent and a gentleman staff member helped me find the gravel I was looking for and even came with me to the till and helped me take it to my car. I was extremely grateful for this as I was on my own and definitely would have struggled!

On the initial visit the lady of the til suggested we took out a Dobbie's card and saved us 29.00. we returned a few days later to buy large pots and more plants and save 100.00. Dobbie's card already paid for it self !! great selection of plants and pots.

Great service, very knowledgable staff

Took my 8 year old grandson for cake and hot chocolate. Used my Dobbies plus club card for the two free hot drinks. I ask my grandson if he remembered the times When we used to come to the soft play area. He said he remembered the smells of the food and after looking at the play area, I could see his memories returning. We went for a wander round picking out some plants to buy. He decided he would like the large swinging chair for his bedroom. I said, well we’ll see about that. A lovely time was had by us both.

Had everything we were looking for and more. Never been to a Dobbies before and I was really impressed

I think dobbie is an excellent garden centre, I can usually find what I am looking for, and the plants seem to be well looked after, and survive when planted in my garden. The staff are also helpful, you just need to ask.

Unnecessarily Long check out wait despite a short queue. Unclear if you are still queuing in one line or at each register

Enjoyed my visit to Dobbies but one or two things need attention
Some outside tables needed to be cleaned
Waited sometime for an assistant to give information about garden furniture despite waving and asking for assistance.
Some plants quite expensive. Have had some lovely long lasting plants from Dobbies in the past.
Perhaps I just hit a bad day. Will continue to visit Dobbies club card definitely worth having.

Lovely lunch. Staff were friendly & helpful- even pointed out an offer which we had missed. We chose lunch items which needed making and choices were quickly prepared and tasty. Cafe area was clean and not over crowded. Bit of a wait for teas and coffees as only one person was preparing drinks bug another assistant put our food to keep warm until we were served.

A range of good quality bedding plants were bought recently at a very fair price under discount promotion and also as a member of Dobbies club.
Also experienced really good customer service recently when two larger plants, purchased previously and planted out in accordance with instructions, were returned when they began to fail. On production of the receipt, I received a no quibble refund.
