cant understand all these good reviews

ordered downlighters from this company on august bank holiday monday. wanted next day delivery so payed extra but being a bank holiday expected it to arrive wednesday, no such luck, i had to email them on the thursday to remind them of the order.with one or two excuses it was sent to me on friday, useless as i my electrician needed them on thursday ,i have to get him back now to finish job costing me extra time and money.and for this trouble i have not received an apology or a refund on the extra i paid for next day delivery.will never use again

After investigating this review, the item that was ordered wasn't in stock at the time of ordering. We have live stock on the website which would have displayed a message saying 'Available to Back Order, Delivery Usually 2-3 Days'. We tried to call the customer and left a message but didn't get a response.

Steps have now been made to also email customers to inform them of any issues with deliveries.

Be aware if you need Express Delivery.

I ordered some Philips Pentura lights from Downlights.co.uk which cost about £67 and then paid an extra £21 for Priority Saturday delivery. Downlights.co.uk didn't think they were a priority even though I'd paid extra, they sent them on standard delivery. Which was pretty useless to me as my builders were scheduled to fit these the next day and finish the kitchen off.

When I phoned, they were great on the phone and they did refund me the full amount and pull the parcel back before it was delivered. However it didn't resolve the fact that after all the research I had done to find the right product, I had to spend most of a Saturday rushing around trying to find an alternative that my builder could fit.

If you're ordering an express delivery from these guys, make sure you phone them up to double check that they will actually send it out as an express delivery. I'm guessing its not hard to understand a simple packing and dispatch instruction, but you never know with some people....

First class service and advice

First class service and advice. Purchased several down lighters for use with the GU10 Hue bulbs. Great product and service and super fast customer support and order tracking.
Recommended company and product lines.

Downlight converters have done a …

Downlight converters have done a brilliant job without replastering.They look good,postage was super fast.I only got the converter ring not the lights,as I already had them.Colour was slightly different white but I could have painted them,looks fine.
