Unacceptable Customer Service

I am writing to express my disappointment with the level of customer service I recently received from Elavon.

The interaction was appalling. The representative I dealt with was not only rude and, at times, condescending, but also came across as entirely robotic, clearly reading from a script with no personal engagement or understanding of basic human communication. There was no effort to listen, empathize, or adapt to the situation, which made the experience even more frustrating.

Effective customer service requires more than scripted responses. It requires professionalism, respect, and an ability to understand and respond to customers as people, not just case numbers. Unfortunately, this interaction demonstrated a complete lack of those qualities.

I strongly encourage Elavon to review its customer service training and ensure representatives are equipped to engage with customers thoughtfully, respectfully, and with genuine understanding. Customer interactions should leave clients feeling supported and valued, not dismissed or belittled.

I hope this feedback is taken seriously and used to improve future customer experiences.

Thank you Iwona for getting to the bottom of my query. You were most helpful. However I have to add the previous agent Patrycja was not great. I think she failed to understand and the advise she provided was totally incorrect. Based on the incorrect advise we still to date would be trying to work out what happened to the transaction. To make matters worse - the chat ended abruptly. When Iwona took over there were no or little evidence of the chat. Thank you again Iwona. You assistance has been very much appreciated.

Grateful for Majella

My father contacted Elavon a few weeks with a query on the account. He spoke with an agent Majella who was most kind and helpful. She dealt with his enquiry in a most efficient manner. He was very grateful for her patience and professional approach in dealing with his query.

Read all the small print before signing with Elavon !

Absolutely dreadful company and a recent terrible experience. I was with Elavon for many years without many issues, but after a recent fraudulent transaction, a chargeback was done. I lost £150 + £25 Chargeback fee. I received the money back as so called 'Good will'
They then took the £150 back and charged me again, another £25 fee.
What on earth is all that about? I sent over paperwork and receipts etc, then received a letter informing me, that should I lose the claim, I could be charged the original £150 + a fine of up to $1500.

Really unhelpful customer services with no explanation as to why they took the chargeback twice ! You would think that these massive companies, making millions out of small, medium and large businesses would be more helpful.

Please do read all the small print very carefully in the Elavon contract before you sign anything!

Anyway, they won't get another penny out of me after taking thousands over the years, because I left immediately and signed up with another firm. I was treat like the criminal and not like a small business suffering at the hands of a fraudster !

Good customer / technical support service

Nice to have the phone answered quickly, for the person on the other end of the phone to know what they are talking about and to be able to give support needed. Being transferred to technical was effortless and the technical person was really good on the phone, one of the issues has been resolved and the other one is being dealt with and will be resolved soon. All round good customer support service. Thank you Elavon team.

Moved back to Elavon recently

Moved back to Elavon recently. Had some queries and contacted. They were able to help with my query over the phone and in an excellent timely manner. The girl I got was very helpful and patient. Unfortunately they have sent this review email a few days after the call, so I have no longer got note of her name. Only reason I am giving 4 stars is because review experience came way to long after the call so I am unable to name the person who helped.
