Beaufort Arms - Stoke Gifford (14th November 14:53). Staff were ‘not allowed’ to turn the music (which was stuck on a 3 second loop) down or off. Absolute disgrace!!!! You lost a sale of 4 lunches and a second round of drinks!!!! Music far too loud!! What is wrong with management to allow this. Please sort it out as we’ve now gone elsewhere!

In October my wife and I went to our local (the Greatfield in Cheltenham) to book Christmas lunch for us both for early December. The gentleman who dealt with this thinks he booked it but wouldn't take a deposit as he wasn't sure. He said we will be phoned to confirm.
After a few days we called them as no contact had been made, to be told the manager was not available and would call us back.
It is now 11/11 and nothing.
We have done all the contacting and still don't know if we are booked. Sick of this service

So we both had a Rib of beef Sunday lunch meal. It was brilliant. Very tasty and filling. It was at the Gate Northwood Middlesex.

We saw Ember Inns Sunday lunch offer of £10.49 for two courses.

We rang to confirm as it seemed too good to be true. Charlie confirmed it and it was Sunday roast plus other dishes.We booked it and arrived in half an hour.

We asked to see the Sunday lunch menu on the table. Non had it so we asked the staff.They confirmed it was still available. We ordered and I was still not convinced.

When we paid the TAB it was normal price. We did not have dessert as they misled us and we were full from the mains. In fact the £10.49 two courses was £2.50 on selected desserts when you pay full price £14.99,for the mains in our case. Some mains more, some less. If that is not misleading I don't know what is.

The manager was not interested in reducing the bill.Ember Inns area manager does not seem to want to deal with it!

So, I have informed Google that it's not correct. It is still there today!

It's not the money so much but the arrogance and outright misleading information that they have used and still do!

North Star Worthing. My wife and friend ordered chicken & leek pie at lunchtime - the chicken was non-existent and vegetables under cooked. I had sausage and mash -the sausages were really nice BUT were served with the bowl half full with gravy so the mash was a soggy mess.

Sent feedback to customer services highlighting an issue in my local outlet.
Received an obvious copy/ paste, impersonal reply with absolutely no punctuation refering to a different outlet
The incompetence of this company seems to start with head office ( which according to the contact details under the "about Ember Inns" blurb are based in America ??) and filters down through the outlets.

Regards The Crown, Birkdale. Called in last night for a beer and a chat with my son, who flies home today. He had a pint of Madri, it tasted of the chemicals used for line cleaning (he has done this so knows the procedure). This made him violently ill. This ruined the whole evening as we had to cut it short.

Happy friendly staff. Exceptional service. Great value food. Lovely venue. Enjoyable relaxed 3 course lunch. Pauline and Bertie were a lovely team.

Food if you can call it that was grotesque, I would feed it to the stray foxes!!!!!

Went to the woodpecker Waterlooville Hampshire ,staff ok but food is dreadful steak inedible and cold I sent a long message to Ember inns but I didn't even get a proper answer just a churned out generated message ,such arrogance they don't even care ,how can you improve your performance with that attitude .

The Wheatsheaf Woking. The food was great. I ordered at the bar, drinks were brought to table. 2 drinks short. Server said she would check then shouted (I kid you not) across the entire restaurant from the bar (we were sitting at the furthest most point under the tv - table 46) that I hadn’t paid for two drinks. I felt very embarrassed and went to the bar and the woman server told me that her colleague hadn’t charged me for them - rather loudly. I don’t appreciate being shouted at across the entire restaurant that I hadn’t paid for drinks which wasn’t my fault. Perhaps they need to teach their staff about customer service. Not keen to come back. The server was a woman in her 50’s with a fog horn voice.

We had a fantastic time celebrating a milestone at this pub. The dog friendly dining area was perfect for our group. Special shout out for Paula and Don. Ember Inns must be so proud of their staff.

Ordered Hunters Chicken not impressed at all it arrived at table 22 minutes later as small piece of chicken in bread crumbs like a large chicken nugget small piece of bacon a teaspoon of sauce. Also had scampi a few chips and the smallest portion of peas I have ever seen. This was at the Talbot in Loughton, Milton Keynes. We will not be returning.

Looked for an Ember inn close to Potters Bar and found the Ridgeway Tavern.
Worse steak we have ever had.
Asked for well done steak and ended up with cremated black flaking steak which was impossible to cut and could not be chewed.
Won't be going back.

The Crown- Ember Inns-Shirley -Greater London firstly i fancied a Sunday lunch ,as in the past when we went to the Toby it was awful- we decided never to go there again ! ! I thought we ( My son , myself and my sons best friend ) would try somewhere a little more local, id looked on line for the prices and to see if they did a veggie option , and reasonable portions for the price, and all seemed in order. This Sunday was overcast but warm so we diecided to sit outside , Outside in the Crown is a lovely large garden seated area, so we prdered some non alcoholic drinks, which was ok and found a table and ordered . I found out at 4pm they had run out of all the vegetarian options, which wasnt a great start , and so i had to get thme to ask the chef if he could put scampi with my roast , the chef ( if you could call him that ) agreed, So my Son and his mate orderd the sharing dinner ( chicken and ham ) two meats, and veg and potatoes, meant for sharing , but its not big enough to share, so they had one each - and i had a mix up of scampi and veg , and potatoes, . Its describes as coming with a rich gravy - lumpy gravy ! The roast potatoes were overdone to a crisp and had no potato inside, ( i had asked fro roast potatoes over new potatoes, which they didnt adhere to ,, so i actually had potatoes, not puffs of crunch )and the veg wasnt cooked properly , some over cooked some undercooked , quite frankly it was revolting !
I decided that after that revolting roast , id try some of their desert , i thought it cant be as bad , - it was- it was shop bought, i had a caramel cheese cake which was supposed to be with raspberries, and it came with black currants , the boys had sticky toffee pudding, which we all agreed was shop bought, and birds eye custard
! The whole price for the drinks and the food was about £68.00 for the three of us , and i will not ever eat there again ! As a pub its quite nice, the food is abysmal !!!-really not a great experience.as they also didnt h ave non alcoholic Gin, and had non alcohoic guiness and lager, and there was quite alot theyd run out of , ok it was 4pm, but not everyone eats at lunchtime , ! I wont be eating here again , may have the odd drink , or pop in for a psychic night , but the food in april was horrible and it hadnt improoved by June 2024!

The mains (roasts) were shocking especially on fathers day cold & microwaved

Burnt starter of garlic ciabatta bread. Response. Sorry about that. No 'ill feed that back to the chef' or any further comment. Empty words.

Having being a daily regular customer for years spending a small fortune as a drinker and not a diner, the latest revamp of the so called "Loyalty App" has effectively ignored drinkers in attempts to boost poor food sales which is an insult and disrespectful by only awarding the odd discount if not willing to order food!!. It's about time regular customers were treated with respect and given recognition for support to the trade on a regular basis with a real Loyalty discount card !!!

TERRIBLE service due to lack of ingredients, mixed orders, lengthy waits, cold food, what more? A complete embarrassment to all.
I recommend everyone NOT to use Ember Inns.This was The White Horse , Chelmsford.

Bramley Cottage. Ale and wine choice good. Food was fine. New menu has higher prices as with everywhere else and just a few new items. Mini pud no longer includes Smarties which was something unique to Ember have been ditched. Even the Vintage inns (Up market M&B chain) didn't do that.

THE EMBER INN IN MONKSEATON, IS A MUST VISIT. SET IN A LOVELY LOCATION. THE STAFF, FOOD, AND PRICES, ARE GREAT. YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED. THEY GO OUT OF THEIR WAY TO HELP YOU.
