Michael Olanrewaju at the Sandyford store could not have been more helpful

I went to buy my teenage daughter a new bed & mattress & was very lucky that we got to deal with Gillian, she was hugely helpful & knowledgeable about what we needed & chatted to my daughter about what exactly she liked. We were delighted with what we bought & would recommend the store & dealing with Gillian to anyone!!

Nice selection of products, great customer service

Maite was very kind and helpful in showing us around and helped us to find a great bed, mattress and dinning chairs which we were looking for. Furniture quality is really great and lots of varieties to choose from. Would highly recommend the ezliving interiors for great quality furniture and beds.

If I could give zero stars, I would.

My partner and I worked incredibly hard to save for our first home, and when it came to furnishing it, we decided to spend the extra money on what we believed would be a quality dining set from EZ Living Interiors. We purchased a Stockton dining table, three chairs and a bench, spending close to €1,000 on the table alone because we wanted something that would last.

Unfortunately, our experience has been nothing short of disappointing from start to finish.

We knew there would be a delay with the table, which we accepted, so we arranged to have the chairs and bench delivered first. I had to take a Thursday off work because deliveries to my area were only available on Thursdays. To make matters worse, I was attending a family member’s funeral that day. When the delivery arrived, only the bench was delivered – the chairs were missing.

When I visited the store, I was apologised to and told the chairs would be delivered on a day that suited me. Unfortunately, that wasn’t the case. I was later told deliveries could only be made on Thursdays, meaning I had to take another day off work to receive the chairs.

The table then arrived earlier than expected, which again required me to take yet another Thursday off work because of the delivery schedule.

Around seven or eight days after receiving the table, two mysterious marks appeared on the surface. I had spent close to €1,000 on this table, and it was only in perfect condition for around a week before these visible marks appeared. The two marks are not even the same – one is smooth and perfectly circular, while the other is irregular and rough. We had taken exceptional care of the table from the day it arrived, so I contacted EZ Living immediately and followed their customer care process exactly as instructed.

This is where the experience became even more disappointing.

The technician who attended initially examined the table and told me he couldn’t determine what had caused the marks. He then went outside to make a phone call. When he came back, instead of continuing to examine the table, he began looking around my kitchen, picking up items and asking what products I used. He picked up an oil diffuser from my kitchen countertop, despite me explaining that it had never been on the dining table, and later photographed it for his report.

The inspection report then concluded that the damage was consistent with diffuser oil and even stated that the two marks were “identical in size and shape.” They are not. They are visibly different, and I cannot understand how that observation made it into the report.

Despite explaining all of this to Customer Care, my concerns were dismissed. EZ Living accepted the inspection report without addressing the factual points I raised, and I was ultimately told they would not repair, replace or refund the table. I was even told that if the table were repaired, it would “never be the same.”

After spending a significant amount of money on what should have been a quality dining table for our first home, I have been left with a damaged table after only a week and no resolution.

What has upset me most isn’t just the outcome—it’s the complete lack of willingness to genuinely consider my concerns or review the inconsistencies I highlighted. I understand that businesses rely on independent inspections, but I expected a fair and objective assessment and a customer service team willing to listen.

I am genuinely heartbroken by this experience. Buying furniture for your first home should be exciting, but this has been stressful from the very beginning. Between incomplete deliveries, multiple days off work, and now being left with a table that is visibly destroyed, I can honestly say this has been one of the worst customer service experiences I’ve had.

Sadly, based on my experience, I cannot recommend EZ Living Interiors.

EZ Living have a large range of furniture at their Sandyford showroom catering for medium to high budgets. The staff are helpful with giving advice and suggesting different options. Will definitely consider buying from EZ Living again.

I had a great experience thanks to Vivienne Sidhourn (sandyford). From my initial phone call to visiting the store, she was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and helpful. She took the time to explain the different garden furniture options and gave me great advice on how to care for the products, which I really appreciated. Nothing felt rushed, and she made the whole experience enjoyable. Excellent customer service – I’d highly recommend asking for Vivian if you’re visiting the store!

Beautiful store. Staff were on hand if needed but not in any way pushy. A very pleasant shopping experience.

The shop was very well organised, and we found it easy to find the specific items we wanted to view in person. The sales assistant, Maite Fennoll, went above and beyond to help us choose the correct furniture for our house.

Love this store with such helpful staff who happily leave you to browse but are there when you have a question. Particular mention to Sean
