MOT test
I took my car here for an MOT and unfortunately the customer service was very disappointing.
The MOT itself appeared to be carried out correctly, but from the viewing area the tester seemed visibly frustrated or angry while working on my vehicle. Once the test was finished, he didn’t come and discuss the results with me and instead moved straight onto another job. I was left waiting in reception for around 10 minutes until another employee came over and asked, “Has he not spoken to you yet?” That employee then went through the MOT results with me instead.
I was informed that because it was a bank holiday they couldn’t provide a repair quote that day, but I was assured I would receive a call first thing the following morning. When no call came, I contacted them myself and was told they would look into it and call me back within an hour. Two hours later I still hadn’t heard anything, so I called again and was told I would receive a call within half an hour. After waiting several more hours, I called for a third time and was told to give them five minutes and they would call me back.
At the time of writing this review, that final promise was made four days ago and I still haven’t received any call, quote, or update.
As a result, I took my car to another garage, who were able to provide a repair quote immediately. The repairs were completed without delay, and I have since returned for the free retest, which the vehicle passed successfully. Unfortunately, even after the retest had been completed, nobody approached me to discuss the outcome or let me know the vehicle was ready. Once again, I found myself having to track down a member of staff to find out what was happening.
While the MOT itself may have been carried out competently, the lack of communication, failure to follow up on multiple promises, and overall customer service experience mean I cannot recommend this garage based on my experience.

A very poor service
Disappointing service I made appointment for Sunday 28th December 2025 for 10.00 am for 4 tyres to be fitted no one moved the for at less 35 minutes I did not get the car back until about 12.10 pm I found the toilet facilities to be dirty no coffee or tea machine was not told of any progress when the vehicle handed back to me I was informed it took longer because I had run flat tires on I found the experience and acceptable ( thanks to mark for reaching out and listening and taking on board my issues that he put my mind at ease that it was an isolated incident )
Good service from the pleasant staff
Tony Manger & Charlie Assistant from your Boston Lincolnshire store were very helpful and pleasant they sorted our problem out the best they could we had a problem with our tyre sensor but they went above and beyond to keep us happy we will be returning to them for our new tyres to be fitted in the new year
Poor Service & Workmanship
One of our cars had it’s mot at your Boston branch 16th September. It failed on a few things, mainly a lower ball joint and a worn top strut bush and bearing. I purchased a new top strut bush and bearing privately. I agreed for the branch to carry out this work. It turned out to be a shambles!
The work was completed and my son picked the car up. While driving home, the scuttle panel below the windscreen lifted up and started flapping about. When he arrived home I inspected the car to find the following.
The scuttle panel nuts were not refitted causing windscreen wiper cover to disappear.
Wheel arch light access panel was missing and top of front bumper secured with self tapping screws.
Car was returned to Boston branch and panel nuts were found and fitted. After another week the light panel cover was found and refitted. The wiper cover on the scuttle panel was going to be sourced by a Technician. After another three weeks being fobbed off with excuses and numerous visits, it was agreed I would source it myself, which I did and they reimbursed me. I noticed on fitting cover, the securing lug is missing also and would require a whole new scuttle panel as securing lug cannot be sourced separately. On the self tapping screws saga they denied all knowledge of doing it even when I brought it to their attention when I first took the car back. All this was reported to customer services but never got a reply.
I have not had any problem with the Boston branch in the past as I take four of our cars there for mot and service when required.
After being in touch with area manager, we have come to an amicable settlement.

They did a great job on a Sunday, when busy, ad hoc, unannounced.
Unprofessional workers
Unprofessional workers, they don't value clientele's time if there's a job that takes 1 hour, they will make it take 3 hours. They don't take accountability for their own mistakes, and their work quality is horrendous. I don't recommend

Not geared up for the basics
5:15pm clearly the lads wanted to go home, ordered online using reg plate, tesla, tyre is recommended by Tesla and these clowns didn't recommend them and said it was company policy not to fit, once i proved that's not the case they pulled out that they didnt have a jack low enough for my car.
SHOCKING!!!!!!!! THE BASICS OF A GARAGE AND THEY CANT EVEN GET THAT RIGHT

Cannot speak too highly of these guys. This is about the fourth time I have used them, for various jobs. I popped in on Saturday afternoon and was booked in for Sunday morning. Tracking checked and, after customer authorisation, adjusted to specification with a 'before' and 'after' report. All in just over an hour. There is a clean waiting room & loo overlooking the workshop, but no coffee. However, there is a café in the Asda supermarket just over the road.
5* for the Boston Branch
Had brakes done and the lads could not be more helpful at the Boston Branch. Work standards are excellent and customer service is an 8/10.
Now i have to go back for a couple of tyres and again the team was as good as ever.
"Negligence at Its Worst – Three Wheel Nuts Left Off!"
I’ve used Formula One Boston a few times, but I’ve had multiple issues. I had four new tyres fitted, but soon after, I noticed juddering through the steering wheel. When I returned, they admitted they had left on the counterweights used to balance the wheels and hadn’t fitted the correct ones. They corrected it, but later, during my MOT, my car failed because they had left off three wheel nuts!
I contacted them, and while they agreed to replace the wheel nuts, they didn’t offer to fit them or provide any further assistance. Leaving off three wheel nuts is not just careless—it’s dangerous. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the only issue I had with them, but that mistake alone is completely unacceptable. I won’t be using them again

It is an joke, please avoid
It is an joke. They made for my car MOT. Not passed. The person who was giving the document was not even able to explain where or what, however purpose to fix the issue for quite expensive amount . We go to garage amd the mechanic had to stripped down some parts to carefully check the issue. It is impossible to check that part without stripped off other parts. The mechanic said everything is absolutely fine. We go for retest then. The mechanic in formula 1 not even stripped Down parts but he said was not fixed. It is joke who is working there. It is really waste of time and money. Not worthing time and stress. They just want get extra cash. We take car straight away to do retest to the different company. Passed no issue founded with that part, which the mechanic from formula 1 founded apparently. Please avoid. Not worthing to stress and time.

Tyre was fitted the wrong way round and failed m.o.t , yes they turned tyre round but no guarantee in case damaged , disgusting customer service , manager and regional manager both incompetent and rude , stay well clear there's plenty of other more reputable companies local

Went there with a small problem on my van which should of took only half hour to do
Was told by the manager Tony that it would be done the next day so I went the next day near closing time and the van wasn’t done so I went and seen the manager who said they had other cars to do and that mine was just a small problem,after a few heated words he told me to f off and go and find another garage,so I will not be using again while the manager is still there which is a shame really because the rest of the lads there are a great and helpful bunch

Absolutely friendly staff and were careful and considerate when working on my car
Worst experience ever
Worst experience ever. Will never use again. I took my car for MOT and was told it was a major fail because of issues with viper fluid. So cannot drive car till fixed. Sent on a wild goose chase to find out there was no problem taking my car to get repaired.
So either dodgy tactics or staff who dont know the variation between cars. Very disappointed.
Staff on the day were rude as well claiming they were short staffed and busy and they could not do a lot. This even included the manager on duty.
So paid twice for MOT and all the hassle and running around when no problems in the first instance.

Took my car in for a routine air con regas and the chap found a leak. He showed me exactly where it was so I was able to get the part replaced A couple of weeks later the gassing was carried out and all is well
Abysmal Service
Abysmal Service. This was my first visit to an f1 autocentre and will be the last. I booked an appointment at 1400 and arrived 15 minutes early as requested, to have 2 new tyres fitted and then waited and waited for a total of 2 hrs 30 minutes before the work was completed. What is the point of booking if you are left waiting. I am not blaming the workers just the company. Never again!
