Check for removed parts!

Had an MOT done at the Eccles branch after Tyldesley cancelled as I was driving to the garage. Failed on suspension and decided to let them do the work as they could do it next day, and also decided to let them fix an issue with the clutch. All in was over £2k which I expect is expensive but I needed the car back asap for work. 6 months later, I jacked the car up to change the oil and the engine undertray is missing. Garage just said "I don't think it had it on when it came in" but they'd look for it. After a week of chasing, I gave up. Used them a few times but won't be going back. You shouldn't have to check under your car when you pick it up to make sure they've put everything back together!

If I could give -10 I would the…


I booked in for a service and MOT paid the £195.00 I asked that they do the MOT first as that was a priority. If it did not pass I would rather the work be done to get the pass and book the service in at a later date. They then called me early afternoon they told me I was unable to have an MOT without a service and after removing my tyres ( wasn’t aware this was needed for a service or MOT!) then went on to give me a list worth 1200 of repairs it needed BEFORE they could do the MOT. It seemed a farce to me, as they were clearly badgering me to spend the money with them. I told him I wanted a second opinion and would be collecting my car. On arrival I was met with arrogance and again he tried to convince me with blatant lies my brakes the wheel alignment etc - what he didn’t know is my son-in-law works for Mercedes and unlike this lot actually is a great mechanic and looks after the car! NOT one item on the list was a failure! And tgen comes the best bit! they did not even do a MOT test. So you remove tyres inspect everything basically to BS. And get more work. I left and 2 minutes later had to go back because they had not put the nut bolts back on the tyre properly. I KID YOU NOT! The manager treated me with upmost contempt how dare I bring it back and then yelled across the office with many other customers present that had I not neglected my car I would not have had issues! After reading the reviews it would appear this is normal behaviour for this group of Hogwarts!! Customer service training is highly recommended!
I’m putting money in the few good reviews Eccles branch has are friends and family

Seamless experience with F1A Eccles…

Seamless experience with F1A Eccles agreeing to take delivery of the hard to source rear tyres for my 20 year old Merc and then fitting them and precision balancing all wheels. Others in the business not so helpful - as in refusing the job - "We only fit tyres we have supplied". Their loss - F1A are my first choice now.

Don't use this so called service centre be warned took…

If I could give minus one I would took my wife's car to Eccles branch for a main service and it had gone into limp mode left it with them they rang me said it needed new brake discs all round and pads possible fuel injector with service it would be £1595 I said it didn't need pads and discs it had not been that long since MOT they thought it wanted MOT I asked for price minus pads and discs was £950 I gave them the go ahead to do work rang to say car was ready paid and picked it up the car stunk of diesel I rang and told them returned it to them I then had to ring them they said it was ok now collected the car still stunk of diesel could not put two children in it when I rang them back to tell them talking to brick wall returned it again had it for a day then day after rang them to find out what was happening with it it's ready now washed under tray left stood outside collected it again still stinks if you want some advice DO NOT USE this place tried ripping me off at first then ripped me off for so called service and repair you have been warned F1 Eccles joke.

Aggressive manager, job not done correctly.

Got a "new" tyre fitted and had the problem of it keep going down. Went back and told him of the problem to which his response was to try and absolve themselves of all responsibility by saying the rim was at fault. We then took the supposedly "new tyre" and rim to a well known tyre fitters who removed the tyre and shown us the problem.
The fitting had not been done correctly as they had not wire brushed the rim or added any rim sealer, only soap. They then informed us that the tyre was actually 4 years old and not new. The manager was aggressive and combative and saying that my attitude was wrong when I first reported the problem. After him turning aggressive I responded in kind verbally. Stay away from this place, they rip you off and any problems they say it's your fault.

Outstanding Service from John and the Team at Formula One Autocentres

I recently visited Formula One Autocentres in Eccles for a car service (Range Rover), and I was thoroughly impressed with the level of service I received. The manager, John, went above and beyond to ensure everything was handled efficiently and professionally.

From the moment I arrived, the staff were friendly and attentive, making me feel confident that my car was in good hands. John took the time to explain the process clearly and answered all my questions patiently, which I truly appreciated.

The service was completed on time, and the pricing was transparent, with no hidden surprises. It’s rare to find such a reliable and customer-focused auto service center, and I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend Formula One Autocentres in Eccles to anyone.

Went to the Eccles’s branch today with a bad taste , so bad I had to complain and feed customers with review
The manager who won’t tell me his name was aggressive arrogant self worth arse
All this because he charges me £308 for a glow plug light and it still wasn’t fixed , his answer is it’s something else and my salon obd meter tells me it is the part we fitted ( so why is it not fixed ) and offered me a free obd read which will give the same read out myself not being a 34 years mechanic like him thinks glow plug issue , the quoted me £134 for parts and £86 labour but on top of the £308 I found the parts for £16 for 4 please read and avoid he scared my sis inlaw and can’t go back going small clsimes defo

My car went in for service and I was…

My car went in for service and I was given a quote for multiply things that they said needed doing at the Eccles branch.

After getting a second opinion at another garage I was told none of the things listed needed doing ....its seems unless you know about cars this garage takes full advantage and tries to get you to have things done that do not really need doing....not to be trusted

Worst garage I’ve experienced

Worst garage I’ve experienced. Rude condescending male chauvinist staff. Spitefully failed my MOT. Told me my car wasn’t fixable as they wanted to complete unnecessary work. Confirmed by 2 other mechanics work was unnecessary and fabricated.
Luckily Kwick Fit screwed in bulb in headlight and passed my MOT.

Absolute howler of an experience!

Went to these guys, They charged me £2000 for work. Got the car back.. found they had broke it and then had to fight 3 weeks to try to get them to take a look at it.

Eventually got the car in, They ended up holding the car for 5 days... in all those days they had only run a diagnostic on the car then the manager responsible for the work had gone off on holiday leaving my car in the garage! At this point I'd had enough of the bulls**t and removed my car from them. Now I have it booked in with a decent garage who are taking care of the situation... at more cost to me of course!

Zero to begrudging communication in all this time. With me having to chase them every time!

Do yourself a favour, if you have work that needs doing on your car. Take it to another garage! These guys are expensive, then ignore you when things go wrong.

Not horrific… but won’t be rushing back.

They fitted four new tyres and did the tracking. They said they would call me to collect the car when it was ready, there was no phone call. I also called the garage twice and there was no answer. When I got in the car the AC and the front demist had been turned on and the radio station had been changed - no idea why this would have happened, all the work we required was about the wheels… The tracking seems to have been done because the steering wheel is now about three degrees off centre to the right when driving straight… it also looks like they haven’t removed the old balancing weights before balancing the wheels I won’t be rushing back

I recently had a terrible experience…

I recently had a terrible experience with this car garage. I took my car in for a specific issue, but instead of addressing the problem, they performed a different repair, claiming it would solve the issue. Not only did this fail to fix my car, but they also charged me a hefty amount for it.

The customer service was abysmal. When I complained to the head office, the manager blamed both the mechanic and me, stating they couldn't help and dismissively told me to do whatever I wanted. I am extremely disappointed and would not recommend this garage to anyone.
Very very poor, never suggest this to anyone.

2 new tyres fitted on

2 new tyres fitted on 05. O4.24+ extra £94 for wheel alignment. !!!! When I returned to collect I asked if all tyre pessures were correct? - response - yeah think so. I checked the pressures on the 08.04.24 and not a single tyre pressure was correct. I corrected them myself and drove nearly 130 miles. When I arrived at my destination one of my new tyres was practically flat. Upon inspection the valve came off in my hand. I immediately telephoned the branch to complain and was given the total brush off treatment. BEWARE these people are playing games with people's lives. RECKLESS AND INCOMPETENT.

Staff are very friendly and helpful

Staff are very friendly and helpful, car needed work doing, phoned up and they got it in and fixed the same day, excellent price as well. Great bunch of hardworking and honest lads. Would definitely recommend
