The Portsmouth branch were efficient, honest and offered value for money. I over heard a member of staff dealing with a complaint regarding a tyre issue. He dealt with it respectfully and efficiently. Very impressed and will use again based upon this experience

Price for full air con re-gas very competitive. Process from booking on line to car having the work done was very easy to arrange.

I bought a cheap Volvo as a stop gap but it came with problems (failed alternator), I asked Formula 1 services to help and within a day I was back on the road. I need the car for work so I was grateful at the speed they did the work. I have been coming here for some years and have not been disappointed. No other garage or auto-electrician could do the job within 2 weeks.

I booked an online appointment for a replacement tyre.
The service was excellent from start to finish. The price was significantly cheaper than local competitors.
Would definitely use them again without hesitation.

Took my car in on the 7th February 2023 for it's mot and it came out with a cracked windscreen. I phoned when I realised. For them to say it probably happend outside, and that someone will call me the next day. No one did. It wasn't from a stone chip as there was no chip or obvious impact.
Extremely annoyed as I've had to pay out for a new windscreen. I should of not gone there as last time I used them they completely missed the fact I had no break pads left and it managed to pass it's mot

Great company who honour their price match guarantee. Had 4 tyres replaced along with tracking, had a couple of minor issues but al resolved thanks to the helpful team. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Will be using again in the future

I unfortunately wish to report some poor customer services that I received while getting my car serviced on 2 Jul. I dropped my car off at 0830 for a Service and was phoned at 1515 to say there was some extra work to be carried out, which I gave my permission for and they said it would be available for collection at 1630. As I was out of town, I asked if it would be okay to pickup at 1000 the following morning and was assured that it would be ready to pickup upon opening. I turned up at 1000 on Sun 3 Jul to be greeted by my car still being on the ramp with no wheels on and was advised that it would be 5 mins, this 5 mins then turned into 45 mins when I was told it would be another 20 mins and in the end it was not ready until 1130. I had arranged brunch with friends that morning which I had to pay a deposit on which I then lost and had the inconvenience of impacting some friends. If I was told by close of play on Saturday that it was not ready, then I could have made alternative plans however I was not and even Sunday morning at 1000 could have been told but kept on getting told it would take only 5 minutes longer. I am disappointed that I was not informed accurately at any of the opportunities.

I had an MOT with them, I failed on a tyre and had an advisory on another tyre so I asked a quote for the failed one and for a mid range tyre it was £94, the man on the phone then said to me it won't be much morer 2 tyres. He quoted me £188 so clearly that's double the price not just a few pounds more!!!!
I got the failed one done, when I got home and went in my boot I realised the compartment where my lock and wheel nut are, y had broken the clip off it so it does not close now!!!! I am fuming and my husband and I will not be taking our cars there again for any work. This is the 2nd time they have damaged my car after an MOT!!

Really quick and efficient, in and out with no fuss

I was shocked about my experience and how the company treated me.
I have booked a full service and MOT via the website for £240 at Portsmouth Centre. I was happy as I received a £70 discount and paid £163. I came in the morning and left my car in the garage. Later in the midday, I received a phone call, and I was told that my car failed MOT due to worn front brake discs and pads. Also, due to my windscreen wiper blades needing replacing, the small indicator light not being orange enough, and my antifreeze required replacing as it is no good.
The guy said that this would cost me £650, of course on top of £163 what I already paid. I was in shock. I’ve told him that I replaced the brakes discs and pads just two years ago. I’ve done only 15k miles during that time. I changed all tyres four months ago, and the garage which carried the work told me that my brakes are in excellent condition. I changed the windscreen blades six months ago, and antifreeze it was just new. I have purchased a new 5l from BNQ three days before MOT.
After telling all that, he said he could go down to £450, but this would be the lowest he could do. Wow, I was speechless. I took all the previous paperwork with me, stating that my brakes were done not long ago and even took my last MOT certificate to show there were no issues. After showing all that he offered me a further discount. So basically, I ended up paying £310 plus £163 online, £473 in total, which is well too much. They overcharged me, and they made up all the jobs to rip me off. If I said nothing, I would pay over £800 for the MOT test and full service, including replacing the bulb, windscreen wiper blades, and front brake discs and pads. I have contacted customer service, and they replied that someone would contact me, but I waited a week, and no one did. I will never come back there, even for a simple job. It is not an honest garage, and they will rip you off. Such a poor experience.

Really disappointed with the abrupt negative manner I was spoken to by Darren at Formula One Portsmouth who seemed to be obstructive in assisting me with a warranty claim on a Cooper tyre. I had already been given information by my son who used to be an area manager for the company which I did mention to Darren but he didn't seem to believe I had a genuine claim. I was surprised as I have never had an issue with customer service from Formula One in Portsmouth, I rely on my car as my husband is disabled and I work part time for the NHS. I have stayed loyal to Formula One for tyres despite my son not working there anymore. Thankfully Andy at the Chichester branch was extremely helpful and is an exemplary example of good customer service. Formula One Chichester gets 5*! Well Done Andy!

Very friendly, helpful and informative staff at Portsmouth. Had an MOT done and a service. My car failed the MOT because I needed a new windscreen so Simon rang very early to tell me so I could book in with Autoscreen through my insurance and once I had booked that he booked me a retest for later in the week. Superb service keeping me informed of everything that needed doing and all work was completed on the day I took the car in. Excellent.

Friendly staff. Would not go elsewhere. They are clear in explaining what needs to be done. Would recommend to anyone.
