This is not the first time I have ordered flooring from Factory direct and will not be the last. Fantastic experience from online ordering to delivery. Affordable, quality flooring and a great selection. The bonus of ordering Free samples so you know exactly what you are paying for is fab as flooring is not always the exact shade that’s shown online. I cannot recommend this company enough.

I purchased Eco Alba vinyl flooring after receiving a sample, however I do not believe the flooring supplied was of the same quality or durability as the sample provided.

Both rolls arrived with damage and dents. I was offered either a replacement/return or a partial refund and chose the partial refund option. Looking back, I regret that decision, as I did not realise how poor the durability of the flooring would prove to be once installed.

The flooring arrived in courier packaging only, with no additional internal protective wrapping. In my opinion this left it vulnerable to the damage it sustained.

Unfortunately, further damage occurred during handling and installation. One roll suffered additional damage simply from being moved into another room. During fitting, the flooring tore in several places when being folded, unfolded and positioned. It has also dented where furniture was temporarily placed, even over hardboard.

In my experience, this flooring has proven far less durable than expected for a product marketed as suitable for bedrooms. The floor now contains multiple tears and marks (despite it being down for less than a day), and I will likely need to replace it much sooner than anticipated.

I also experienced delivery issues. Only one of the two rolls arrived on the selected delivery date, with the second arriving later. At the time the company did not appeared to know why the shipment had been split or when it would arrive (thankfully it came the next morning).

Customer service did respond to emails and honour the partial refund offered. However, the refund amounted to approximately the delivery cost and did not address my concerns regarding the overall quality and durability of the flooring.

Based on this experience, I would not purchase this flooring again and I would not choose to shop with this company in the future.

Description of products are very good, calculator helps with quantity required.
Ordering is easy and delivery very good.
The solid oak flooring is excellent and very easy to lay.

Initially good customer experience, including (as allowed under Ts&Cs) swapping the engineered-wood flooring I'd ordered when samples subsequently received didn't match the colour of the flooring shown on the website. (But frustrating that the samples were so far off from the colour on the website; they should be able to do better; the difference looked a lot more than just batch variation.)

But, much more frusratrating, is that once I'd paid for my pre-oiled flooring (well over a thousand-pound spend), when I asked them what oil was needed to maintain it, they wouldn't advise me on the right oil. They directed me to a wood-finishes manufacturer's website (not the manufacturer of the flooring) and suggested I call them.

So, now I've got to go on a voyage of discovery to get advice from people I don't know, who don't know the flooring I'm buying, and who have a vested interest in selling me thier product whether or not it's the best option for my flooring.

Getting advice on the right oil for the specific flooring you buy is a pretty basic element of customer service. It should be included in the product details on the website. If it's not, the retailer should be able to advise you. They know the wood; they know its manufacturer.

If you can't get advice on the oil needed for your specific flooring, then I wonder what hope you have of getting any action on the supposed 20-year warranty if you ever need it? It strikes me that a company that won't even help you with basic advice may not be one to rely for its warranty or any other form of service?

We were trying to match as closely as possible and existing floor. Samples came very quickly which was brilliant. Ordered others samples from competitor which didn't arrive so you got the order. Match was good, ordered and delivered within a few days. Excellent customer service. Very pleased with the quality of the product

The samples are great, delivered quickly. I love them but hubby thinks they are too thin for where I want. To be continued.

I had a sample sent to me but sadly wasn’t what I wanted the texture was not smooth and in my experience I find them harder to stay clean .

Only ordered the samples a couple of days ago - and there was a bank holiday included in that time. Very quick delivery, kept informed by email from start to finish, so from that perspective it's been really good. Both samples look like good quality and large enough to give a good idea of what the pattern would look like on the floor. Now I just have to figure out which one I want 🙃

Ordered the Watton hand-scraped solid oak floor having reviewed countless samples and never finding an engineered floor from any brand that looks 'real'. I laid this myself with a 5mm foam underlay over old wooden floor boards using a portanailer for secret nailing. The boards went down an absolute treat, the gaps are all very tight thanks to the accuracy of the boards. We couldn't be more pleased with the effect - both the colour of the boards and the gentle hand scraped undulations.
