Black Friday sale gone terribly wrong

Black Friday sale at the end of November and finally 2 bottles of extra virgin olive oil turned up today on the very last day of December. The rest of my order was out of stock, therefore couldn’t be fulfilled. But what gets me most upset about is the price I had to pay for it in the end. £15 for two 500ml bottles of extra virgin olive oil which I could have had weeks ago for way less than that. So where is my Black Friday discount then? An absolute disaster.

Terrible Customer Service

Ordered during the Black Friday deal which many others have stated seemingly overwhelmed them.

I’ve seen comments from others here saying ignore the 1 star reviews which I don’t accept which I will explain.

I still have not received the order which was placed 6 weeks ago.

In that time I have received 1 email saying that the order is on the way…it wasn’t…and a second saying I’m sure it will arrive soon…it hasn’t.

Regardless of the fact that they have been overwhelmed as a corporation they should have planned for it AND when things went wrong they should have reallocated human resource to ensure that all the customers that have been let down are kept informed of the delays. They did neither. So my review is not just that I haven’t received my items for which it looks like I will be forced to enact a chargeback but for the abysmal customer service in dealing with it. Yes the 1 star reviews stand

Just got my Black Friday deal…

Just got my Black Friday deal delivered. Carefully and safely packed. Thank you. Yes, it took a while, but the email with an apology was sent, so I was expecting it. No problem. It was such a good deal anyway. Worth waiting. If I would have been desperate to use it while waiting for a delivery I could just buy a bottle while I was shopping in the market as it's available everywhere! This is "every day use" product. Surely, people can use it all before expiry date, so I don't understand why people are so demanding in all those recent reviews. I have been using their products for years. Very happy customer. Thanks again 🙂

Fantastic company with great product

What a great company in honouring the black Friday deal.
Yes it took a little longer for them to deliver and there was no email to confirm what was happening with delivery, however they did put on the website delivery will take longer than normal. This is because they did such a good deal on black Friday that they were probably overwhelmed with orders.
Ignore all these 1 ⭐ reviews as I'm sure most, if not all, received their order where the company could have just cancelled all orders.
Olive oil is great and the packaging was fantastic.
Can't complain even though there was a slight delay.
Would definitely recommend and use again.
Such a shame that with all the positives for them and only one negative [delivery] that people rather complain on here.

Order on 29 Nov 2025 for oil…

Put in order on 29 Nov 2025 for oil initial cost of £67.35 discouted to £26.94. A update on 9 Dec 2025 said due to high demand, appologize for delay but order should arrive before Christmas. Thought this was a reputable company. Unless they can sort this out quickly and responsibly do not see this company in New Year

Poor company

Ordered products at end of November
Money taken from account but no product delivered
Had an email yesterday to say they had run out of product( how do an olive oil company run out of olive oil?)
Not received a refund despite paying for the goods over two weeks ago
Surely this is illegal?!
Company don’t respond to any form of communications
Avoid this company at all costs

Possible scam

Possible scam. Ordered nearly 2 weeks ago as a part of their Black Friday offer and have zero feedback on delivery. They weren’t taking credit cards so I paid using my debit card!

Super slow service and little support

Update 5/1/2026:

Took over a month to receive entire lot (15 bottles, two separate orders).
Unnecessarily stressful experience.
Clearly Black Friday offer proved to be more than they can handle.

Update 19/12/25:

I have received yesterday 10 out of 15 bottles I have ordered so clearly not a scam but just really poorly ran (and overwhelmed with number of orders) business. Will need to chase up now remaining 5 bottles :(

Update: got en email 2 days ago reading I should receive my order before Christmas. They only quoted one order number (I placed two) though so I am not sure what to expect.

Sadly one of the worst companies I've dealt with (customer support wise).

Ordered 15 litres of oil on 29th Nov and haven't heard from them since. Sent them a message through their site few days ago and again, no reply.
Non existing customer support.

I ordered five different orders on 29th…

I ordered five different orders on 29th November, get confirmation emails on same day. It's now 7th December and orders is still processing as showen on my order page. No any email informing delay or dispatch. Extremely poor communication. Contact them by their contact page, still no reply.

Delighted with a great product and equally great service

Filippo Berio is the only olive oil our family has bought now for many years. As well as buying the regular brand I've also always bought the Chilli infused variant from Costco. However, Costco have ceased stocking it so I bought six bottles direct via their website. Their service is really great! You get to deal with real people, not bots. They've just brought out a parmesan pasta sauce so being on their mailing list, I got a BOGOF offer which I've used. Truly a great company. They're pretty big but they still have the small Italian family feel.

Filippo s Extra Virgin Olive Oil improves my cardio vascular; digestive; and respiratory systems. It also contains lignans thus combats malignancies.

This delicious and natural oil is also good for my hair, skin, bones, and teeth. Oh yes, and as it helps my body lose "bad" fatty acids as well as gives me "good" fatty acids , it is also good for my mind, brain and all round mental health as well as aiding quality sleep.

A shame of a company

A shame of a company. They sell Special selection Extra virgin olive oil for a high price and it is only a mixture of oils from 5 or 6 countries. They actually specify that on the label but , how can you know what kind of oil is in the bottle? Awful
