Quality Fire Surround & Quality customer care.
Designer Fireplaces are one of those rare companies who know how to treat their customers really well. From start to finish we were updated and kept informed by Tilly who was a delight to deal with. Our oak fire surround was delivered on time by a really helpful delivery driver and when we unpacked our fire surround we were not disappointed as it's beautiful. Really good quality and worth every penny. We were so happy with it I went straight back online and ordered an oak mantle mirror to go with it. I will definitely buy from again and recommend Designer Fireplaces as the whole experience of buying from them has been a very positive one. Thank you.

Light oak waves rustic mantle
Good product. Quite rustic with visible cracks but beautiful piece of wood

Hi Dave,
Thank you for your amazing review. As a lot of our timber is air dried we can get splits and knots in the timber. However, this is what can give the piece of wood its natural beauty.
We really appreciate your 5 stars!
Many Thanks

Great fire surround. They were able to adjust the dimensions for a perfect fit. Also I like the mounting that allows you to remove in the future for decorating.

Disappointed
I was disappointed that the beam had a huge crack right in the middle which is not shown on any of the images online. Whilst I appreciate the timber is naturally dried I felt it was not the best aesthetically and really should not have been sent.

Respuesta de Designer Fireplaces
Hi Christopher,
Thank you for your feedback. Timber can vary significantly with each batch, and these rustic features naturally occur in air-dried wood. These splits happen as the timber dries over the years and are unavoidable. They are not a structural concern and typically add to the wood's character.
However, if you'd prefer a replacement, please contact us. We’d be happy to select a piece with as few splits as possible from our next batch.
Thank you
