Be very careful speaking to these people. I recently had the displeasure of dealing with them, and their services left me deeply unsatisfied. Not only did they exhibit unprofessional behavior, but they also resorted to threatening litigation, which is unacceptable.
My ordeal began when I called them to discuss potential dates for a fire risk assessment. Unfortunately, they took it upon themselves to assume that we had already settled on a date. This assumption led them to send a fire risk assessor to my property on a bank holiday, several months later, without my consent or confirmation. To add insult to injury, they then sent me an abortive bill, demanding payment for a service that was never scheduled in the first place. I was stunned to receive such a bill while I was away from the property, enjoying my time halfway up the Long Mynd.
Despite my repeated requests for physical evidence or proof that a date had been agreed upon, they failed to provide any substantiation. It became increasingly clear that no such agreement had been made over the phone as they had claimed.
What shocked me even more was their audacity to threaten litigation in order to coerce me into paying the "abortive" fee for a booking I never authorized. Instead of rectifying their mistake and apologizing for the inconvenience caused, they resorted to harassment, bombarding me with incessant demands for payment.
Although I offered to cover the assessor's fuel costs as a gesture of goodwill, they adamantly insisted that I pay the entire fee, despite the fact that I had no knowledge or proof of the booking. If a date had indeed been scheduled, I would have been present at the property as expected.
In light of my experience, I strongly advise you to seek a fire risk assessment from another provider. Dealing with these individuals was an absolute nightmare. Their unprofessionalism, lack of accountability, and litigious nature are qualities that should not be associated with any reputable service provider.
Save yourself the trouble and frustration. Look elsewhere for a professional and reliable fire risk assessment provider who values their customers and operates with integrity.

You were sent a booking confirmation, 6 weeks pror to the appointment you booked with us. We also sent a text reminder 4 days prior to the assessment date, giving you another opportunity to cancel or rearrange the date, which you failed to do. This is your second cancellation and whilst we have again agreed to reduce the fee, as a gesture of goodwill, as this was a bank holiday appointment, we obviously have higher costs, therefore we cannot accept your offer to only cover our assessors fuel. We have responded to both your queries and those raised by your solicitor. We're very sorry that you now feel that your only option is to post this review.

The fire risk assessor was quite rude and didn't listen well. There has been things put on the report that state they are missing or haven't been managed when we already have them in place but the risk assessor didn't ask at the time

Thank you for raising your concerns regarding the assessor, which we will address. All of our assessors are aware of our expectations for both conduct & manner onsite & we rarely have any concerns, as they are all very commited to fire safety & want to help.
We do send a pre visit questionnaire out with our booking confirmation & if this is completed, it does send a list of documentation that our assessor will need to see on the day, in order to ensure the report is as accurate as possible. Looking through your report, there doesn't appear to be many areas of concern, therefore if you would like to contact us to discuss the points you feel are incorrect, we can make amendments as necessary or refer back to the assessor for clarity.

Overall an excellent company
Contacting the company, getting a quote, arranging the survey, meeting the surveyor, conducting the survey and getting the report were all excellent.
The only part I'm not so pleased with is the layout of the report. I haven't found it easy to work from the report to make a list, in order of importance, of the work to be done. This is really a very important part so it's disappointing that it isn't easier to work with.

Thank you for the great review. We send all our reports out in full in PDF with all the actions colour coded to help highlight the most important. This works for a majority of our clients, however for some management companies we do have ability to send a summary in different formats, to make it easier to monitor & allocate tasks. The Company was helpful in providing information and answers to questions before we appointed them to carry out the assessment. The assessor was good and explained issues in plain language. The report received was on time and clearly written. It would have been helpful to receive one hard copy as well as the electronic version.

We send out our reports electronically for a number of reasons, including speed, our clients will always have an electronic copy, it reduces waste and helps keep our costs low, however we are always more than happy to send out hard copies, if requested.

A very full report but it was not made clear that fire doors were not part of their assessment and a further fire door assessor would need to be appointed by us as client and paid for! Disappointing to now have to work across 2 documents With the added cost and hassle

Thank you for raising your concerns about the requirment for a further survey.
We do highlight in the booking confirmation that is sent out prior to the assessment, that the assessor MAY state a fire door survey is required & that this is a separate service, that would need to be provided by a fire door inspector.
The reason we make this as clear as possible is because fire door surveys are a specialised service. Fire doors are an important element of fire safety, therefore they require a surveyor with the relevant experience & qualifications, to check all doors thoroughly & provide a detailed report.
Our assessors will visually inspect as many doors as they can, alongside all the other fire safety measures on the premises, they will detail their findings in your report, however if they don't have access to all doors (as in your case), or if there are too many doors & only a sample can be assessed, then depending on the quality & maintenance of the existing doors, as well as the overall risk to life, a further survey could be recommended.
I hope that resolves any misunderstanding you have regarding the service, however if you have any further queries, please do let us know.
Verbal advice differed from report content
Assessor was nice bloke and understood the premises but the report was different to the advise given and contained several mistakes which I had to query with the company. They were eventually sorted out but it caused a lot of worry and confusion and if I'd gone ahead with the original report would have cost me a lot more money to fix.

We do check through all our reports & the content is also validated, unfortunately this particular query would not have been picked up in this process, as it was a site specific error. Once the report is sent out, we do highlight that all Responsible persons need to check through it, to ensure it is accurate and relevant, as errors can occur. We are always more than happy to go through any queries & make amendments where required, or refer back to the assessor should you need further explanation regarding any findings.
