I went to Floyd's in Geneva Illinois, in Geneva Commons. It was my first time there and I can't say enough good things about Derek B.! Let's just say my hair was a hot mess from the cut to the color when I walked in there! I've had way too many bad experiences and Derek is a keeper! The cut was spot on and the color is beautiful! I love him and I'm keeping him! Thanks Derek! See you in four weeks!

My son had an appointment at the Town Center Highlands Ranch location with Thoa today at 6:15. We arrived at Floyd's at 6:08. Upon arrival, Thoa was sitting at her station on her phone. She never looked up from her phone. At 6:19, she continued to be on her phone even though our appointment was at 6:15. In previous appointments, we showed her photos of hairstyles that my son liked. And we made sure to tell her not to cut too short. To my displeasure, each and every time, it was much shorter than expected. We walked out of our appointment today due to our perception that our time didn't matter to her. It would have been nice of her (if she was on her break) to let us know that she would be with us momentarily. We'll be choosing a different stylist and Salon next time.

I want to give a big shout out to Alex G. (Johnstown, CO) for being a rockstar! My hair was to the middle of my back and I was ready for a major change, but my hair sometimes requires "special" care. As I requested, he did a rockin razor cut for me, cutting off at least 12" of hair. I also requested that a brush not be used to dry my hair because it has a tendency to frizz out if a brush is used. As requested, he did not use a brush. His approach is gentle and efficient; I have never had anyone give me a razor cut in such a short amount of time, especially when going from such long hair. I absolutely love my new cut!!! He really is pretty awesome. Many thanks to you, Alex. (Once I get a good pic, I will update this post. In the meantime, trust me...it's very cool.) Oh yeah...vibe...great music and friendly staff as well as a ton of fun stuff to look at on the walls and plenty of product to choose from. I'm not a salon kind of gal, so this is definitely my new place.

Just received one of the worst haircuts of my entire life. Not only did the haircut irrevocably alter my hairstyle, but there was a major mistake as well. A chunk of hair right in front and center at my widow's peak is several inches shorter than the rest of the hair.

JUST AWFUL.

To make matters worse, Floyd's does not care at all about their failure.

I called to complain, and the response was, "I'm just a receptionist." After I persisted with my complaint, she interrupted me to inform me of her limited professional capacity, it was quite clear that silence was the only response I'd get to my complaints.

The cowardice!

So, my conclusion is that not only does Floyd's 99 Barbershop offer terrible haircuts for 200% the price of a typical haircut, they don't even hold themselves accountable for their failures.

A receptionist at a hair salon (this place is not a barbershop, lol) that doesn't know how to deal with a customer complaint?

Just wow.

Utter and complete failure.
