Actually if you look at the reviews for Francevilla, the only 5* review is sent by them. I thought this was against the principals of Trustpilot?

Please check all the NORMAL reviews about FranceVilla. Aimee and Andrea are one and the same person. She uses alternative names to make FranceVilla look bad all over the internet. Sorry that some people prefer fighting over the internet instead of communicating normally.

We used France Villa to book our holiday to Chateau Sarrazac in Dordogne. The booking experience was very smooth - they had a range of beautiful looking properties and the process went smoothly. When we arrived the chateau architecture is breathtaking. So far, so good.

However, on arrival - our nightmare started. The property was filthy with rodent droppings in the kitchen drawers, 2 toilets broken, seats covered in bird poo, mattresses covered in mildew, curtains missing, filthy pool area . . the list goes on. I have photo evidence of everything - which I'm grateful for, because when trying to claim some money - even the 150Euro cleaning fee - I was told no, and that they'd sue me for slander if I left a negative review!

If only they had been polite, not accused us of putting the mouse droppings there ourselves and ensured everything was remedied when we were there - instead of the torrent of foul emails which turned a bad situation worse.

Everything was reported on arrival, as per the T&C's yet they won't let me contact the poor owners . . .which is also in their T&C's.

I would strongly advise you NOT to book with France Villa.

We too had a very bad experience with FranceVilla. We hired a ‘luxury chateau’ in Sarrazac,France through them. The photos were amazing. On arrival instead of a welcoming bottle of wine we found the chateau filthy dirty, the mattresses were revolting, there was one curtain per window where two were necessary. Some of the curtains were ripped and hanging off the rail. Two of the three toilets were not flushing. There were mouse droppings in all the cutlery drawers and throughout the kitchen. The list goes on. We could have wept. The was to be a wonderful for the whole family. We rang FranceVilla immediately who told us to ring the local cleaner. She came, took filthy bird poo covered cushion covers home to wash - and never brought them back. She arranged for the plumber to come and he fixed the loos and washing machine on day four. She didn’t do any further cleaning. We all mucked in and had to clean it ourselves. On return to uk we again complained to FranceVILLA who told us to go away and they offered no sympathy or compensation whatsoever. The joke was we had paid £150 for cleaning which we asked to be returned!
Tragedy that what should have been a dream holiday was a horror story. Made far worse by FranceVilla instead of sorted by them.

In July we thought we would book to go not to far due to Covid and when we chosen Francevilla Lydia assured us that everything would be ok regarding refund, then the quarantine came, I contacted lydia who then wanted 20 percent of the booking just to move it to next year, I called the owner of the property Jenny and Andrew who were happy to move it for free, Lydia became very abrupt in her emails so we decided to cancel the booking, we still were charged 20 percent on the full total, which included 500 euro deposit which was refundable after your holiday, towels and cleaning!, we weren't even there, this was disgusting as we only wanted to move it, will NEVER use Francevilla ever again, they lie,and happy to take your money but not refund you in difficult times.
