Excellent service from Furniture Hire UK for ghost chairs in the run up to my wedding. They made sure they contacted before and after so we were put at ease during a very stressful period. We have been using Furniture Hire UK for a few years now for equipment for our Jet Set Speaker events. They never fail to deliver a fantastic service. Even when requests have come very last minute they have pulled out all the stops to get what is needed to us.

First experience and thoroughly disappointed. I’ve read reviews with similar issues so before I get a lousy response that blames my experience on the “storm”, please don’t… clearly it’s a pattern.

Due to the storm yesterday I was contacted a day before and given the telephone number of the delivery team and asked if I still wanted the items due to the weather - which I did. Now I’m not stupid, clearly there would be issues due to the weather. But what I did not expect, was to not be communicated with accordingly and given wrong information. I contacted the delivery team and asked for an ETA. I was told it would be arriving between 13:30-14:30. In this instance I made my way home and waited. Once it reached 14:30 I couldn’t wait any longer as I was on an extremely tight schedule. I asked my neighbour to be on the lookout and take the delivery for me. I made my way back to my other home and continued setting up for my party which started at 19:00. After being so caught up in organising I realised I hadn’t heard from my neighbour, to which it was revealed the items still hadn’t arrived. I called the team once again and asked the status as I had been assured a time slot. The gentleman on the phone very unbothered sounding said the drivers were in Milton Keynes due to the storm and won’t be with me for another hour ( I live approx 1hr & 10mins from Milton Keynes). This was at 15:00. I asked the team to defer the delivery back to the original address which was 9mins away from the other location, seeing as they clearly were no way near and I did not have time to be running back once again to collect. I asked to differ the address on the advice of the Assistant Sales Manager whom stated I could ask the drivers to do so. 16:00 arrived and still no items. Shock.

At 16:30 I received a text to say my delivery would arrive between 18:19-19:19. Correct me if I’m wrong but your website and email confirmation both clearly state delivery is between 8am-6pm. Yet my items were due to arrive way after your delivery hours ? At a time no longer useful to me.

I emailed furniture hire and I received a response from the same assistant sales manager apologising for the delay (and I quote) “but with the best will in the world we cannot control the weather situation”. You are not God, I think I know you cannot control the weather, however clearly my email went over all heads. My issue is I spoke to the delivery team twice, if you cannot guarantee a time then I’d rather you have said you cannot specify on a time right now, instead of having me waste my time going to and from locations, waiting for an hour with no updates. Common sense would tell you to maybe inform your customer there is a delay and the items will no longer arrive during the estimated time. Even after the first given hour slot surpassed, why did I have to go out of my way to query the whereabouts, why would you not inform me it’s no longer arriving then? Poor service.

The delivery arrived at 18:20. Whilst guests were already arriving. Embarrassing. The two guys who were offloading the items were clearly not patient as they decided to carelessly put the tables inside my passage way, and let them bang against the walls which left marks. In the end the items stayed outside in the shed area and not used. As we did not have any time to set up as guests were already there. Waste of time and definitely waste of money. Regardless of the weather - communication sucks.

Then on the day of collection, they arrive at the other location. Even though I changed delivery and collection address on Friday. What a shambles.

Oh, and the bench’s were filthy, the wood was heavily splintered. So you can most certainly take them back how I received them - and perhaps give them a good clean.

Harry came back to me straight away offering our College a solution that was a) affordable and b) within an ultra quick turnaround.

Hired Led furniture for my daughters party on 9/10/21 delivery & pick up were as said, the furniture was very impressive, all teenager guests & daughter was thrilled with it all.

Shocking quality chairs. Ordered 120 for a wedding. Some chairs were broken, some had splinters protruding, chairs weren't the same style, chair pads differed. Chair pads very stained. No velcro on some chairs to attach the pads. Needless to say I wouldn't use them again!

Was contacted as they stated below (although note I had provided them with feedback prior to me leaving this review. I was only contacted after adding my review on here) and asked if I had photographs. I do.
I was asked if I would remove this review if they gave me 50% of the cost back.
I did not consider this enough as the chairs were disgraceful and I couldn't use them for the purpose intended. The girl on the phone agreed it was probably a case of me having the last chairs left in the warehouse. She advised she would speak to her manager about how we could go forward and get to me. No-one has gotten back to me.
Use them if you're prepared to take the gamble on what chairs you'll get. If I had accepted their offer this review would have been removed.

Brilliant service. I had a garden party for my partners 50th. Folding chairs and bistro tables arrived the day before, nice and early, and high stools and poseur table for the singers, for the gig that we put on. it looked perfect in the gazebos that we put up and decorated.

Pick up of furniture was the following day. very quick and efficiant delivery adn pick up. Would definitely use them again and I've recommended FurniturehireUK on my neighbourhood whats app group!

Excellent customer service. Chairs were delivered and collected on time. Staff went above and beyond.

Had a last minute crisis on my hands Friday afternoon, contacted FHC and Luis and the team came to the rescue
Furniture was delivered the next day and collected on the Sunday both at the stated times.
Communication was excellent and the drivers were both efficient and courteous
Will be using FHC again when the occasion arises

Very friendly and helpful company. Furniture delivered on time and all the furniture was great. Unfortunately due to COVID we had to cancel the event so asked if the furniture could be collected earlier than planned. Again the company was brilliant and collected the furniture promptly. Will definitely use them again.
