We went to Furniture Village after weeks of looking for a dining set. It was a refreshing change not to have sales follow us and annoyingly try to push us to something we clearly didnt want. We spoke with Kevin, very helpfull, polite, knows his stuff, and gave us several options without being at all pushy. and will definatly be going there again in the future.

Shiva was so friendly and efficient. We had a very enjoyable experience in purchasing our new dining table. Nothing was too much trouble. We would highly recommend Shiva.

Yet again fabulous service from Jay. We bought a sofa from him last year and came back today for a dinning set. Nothing was too much trouble.

Just purchased 2+1. Good and straightforward experience. Abdul was looking after us throughout the choice and purchase.

We’ve been looking for our perfect new sofa for a while for our new house and had narrowed it down to two, one at Furniture Village Preston and one at another shop on the docks.

For us, it came down to the people, especially Kevin Byrne.

When we first visited, we had our child with additional needs with us and Kevin was brilliant with him. He was so patient and friendly and it never felt like they were just trying to make a sale. They took the time to get to know us and understand what we actually needed.

We went back today with the intention of deciding between the two, but we didn’t even end up going back to the other shop! Kevin made the whole experience really enjoyable and exciting. With the help of his manager Karl Swift, we got a great deal too.

As salespeople ourselves, we always say we buy from people, and that’s exactly why we chose Kevin and Furniture Village.

Thanks so much Kevin for all your time, advice and patience, and thanks to Karl too. We’re so excited for our new furniture and getting everything ready for our new house. We’ll definitely be back… especially for more cookies! 😂🍪

Jay at the Capitol Centre, Preston shop was helpful throughout our first visit. We are replacing a lot of furniture in the house due to a recent separation. He was so helpful and friendly, that we requested his assistance on the subsequent visits. In my opinion it's people that sell to people. On our second visit we ordered the Fumo dining range.

I spent a lot of money on several pieces of furniture and was happy to wait the quoted 13 weeks for delivery. Unfortunately, that’s where the problems started.

When my order arrived, the table was missing while the chairs were delivered, and no one could explain why. After chasing it up myself, I then had to wait another three weeks for the table to arrive.

In the meantime, my wardrobe was delivered and assembled, but one of the drawers was broken. It’s now been 11 days, and despite calling four times and sending two emails, I’ve had virtually no communication. Today I was told a manager would call me back before the end of the day. That was this morning, and it’s now 7:30pm with still no call—not even the courtesy of an update.

The only positive part of my experience has been the delivery teams. Every single one has been friendly and professional.

Sadly, the customer service has been appalling. Having to repeatedly chase updates, being ignored, and not receiving promised callbacks is simply not acceptable, especially after spending a significant amount of money.

Would I buy from them again? Absolutely not.

Matt (manager) finally rang me Friday (after I rang twice more) and promised to ring me back with more information between 4-5pm Monday. Also said he would raise it with customer services who would contact me within 48 hours. I rearranged my plans to be available and guess what? NO phone call! So Tuesday (today) I went into Preston Furniture Village ( Capitol Centre) to be told Matt is off all week on annual leave. Why say you’re going to ring someone when you know you aren’t at work - absolute joke and to top it all there was no manager in to speak too. So I still have no answers.

Our sales consultant Shive Hosseinnia, was there to guide us through our choicds and provide options when needed. This waa a pleasant and straightforward no messing about customer experience.

We were treated very respectfully by Kevin without pressure being applied to buy. He devoted a lot of time to us over two visits showing great inter-personal skills.
His positive, customer friendly approach to us definitely went a long to securing the sale.
The provisions of refreshments was an added bonus
The option to pay on interest free credit was also a significant benefit

Had a lovely experience with Javad. He explained everything so well such as the measurements, the different choices of chairs we can have etc. He is a lovely, friendly salesman.

Only went in by chance and ended up ordering a new sofa. Carol was really nice and friendly- not pushy and just there in the background to help us out and answer our questions. The low pressure approach was great because we would have definitely been out off by anything more pushy. She stayed late to finish all the paper work and process everything- even made us a brew which was great! The sofa we decided on was the only one we had seen that was a recliner and an ottoman which is exactly what we need! 0% Apr is really great and we got an additional discount to make it even better. Hope the high level of service and quality continues when the sofa is delivered!

Abdul was very helpful ordering the mirror we needed to complete the bedroom furniture suite we'd ordered previously.

We returned to meet Danny to look at a sofa we was interested in great service from start to finish highly recommended

New Furniture for House Renovation - Jay has been consistently beyond helpful on the 2 trips we’ve made to Furniture Village. He made us feel totally welcome, relaxed and provided all of the information we required to assist us in making the purchase.

We will certainly be back to make additional purchases.
