Booking an appointment was simple, I was able to speak to an expert the following day who solved both of my laptop issues and then kindly did a health check too.

Internet issues

Richard from Rotorua popped round and sorted the issues we were having with internet. Very relaxed and didn’t stress too much when I was running late. Very helpful and gave great advice. Finally got the robot vacuum operational again. Great relief for me…..first world problems are a real thing. Would definitely use again.

I found Geeks on Wheels through Which?

I found Geeks on Wheels through Which?, where they are a Which? Recommended Provider. They stood out because they had the highest number of reviews and some of the highest ratings, which gave me confidence in choosing them.

I travelled from South East London to their North London office and was pleased to find it conveniently located right next to the Underground station exit, making it very easy to find.

From the outset, Adam and Folco were friendly, professional, and helpful. My laptop was not powering up, so I left it with them for diagnosis. Throughout the process, they kept me regularly updated by telephone and email, and were always responsive whenever I had questions.

Unfortunately, the laptop turned out to be beyond repair, which confirmed what another repair shop had previously told me. Rather than simply delivering bad news, they clearly explained the available options and helped me decide on the best course of action. I chose to have my data transferred to a USB stick, which was carried out smoothly.

Overall, I had a very positive experience. The team was professional, communicative, and customer-focused throughout. I would happily recommend Geeks on Wheels to others and would not hesitate to use their services again in the future.

Brandan was amazing

Brandan was amazing. I have tried to fix things and made it worse. He was respectful about my lack of knowledge and frankly saved me by getting things up and running again. fabulous service

Weonsuk is wonderful

We had Weonsuk come out to do a free tech review. He was fantastic and even helped me with some issues that our old IT company couldn't figure out. He explained everything so I knew what he was doing and what the problem could be.
We have now purchased 2 computer upgrades through them and everything is going perfectly.

They get the job done!

Brilliant, reliable, will do everything to get the job done. Had to contact Geeks on Wheels after AI instructions managed to completely lose my business account email. I could book a virtual appointment that day, my expert Adam was fabulous - conferred with his colleagues to ensure my situation was sorted. Just took me from high stress to relief and happiness!! And they are patient for non-techy people like me. Would highly recommend them.

The team were were very responsive and…

The team were were very responsive and helpful. They quickly identified the problems I was having with my computer and took it away to deal with. When it was returned they helped make sure everything was working ok, exactly as it had been before.

Complete loss of functionality after Geek technician worked on my computer

The technician came to install Windows11 on my laptop as Windows kept saying my computer was not compatable. As it transpired there was only one small thing that needed to be ticked or unticked to get the process going. However, after some discussion with the tech, he convinced us to purhase (for $219) a new, bigger hard drive.
Three hours later he said he had finished. What he left in his wake was a complete disaster. The display on the computer was stretched & distorted. The monitor I use would not work, there was software missing, my email only partially functioned, documents were lost in my library, links in emails wouldn't work, the One Drive backup wasn't working correctly & nor was the printer. The list goes on. There was almost no functionality at all. I contacted Geeks who got the tech to call me. He then spent another 1 hour & 15minutes working on my computer remotely. He mentioned several times that he didn't kow why things weren't working & kept insisting that all the display issues were due to the fact that the Hewlett Packard software was not up to date with the Windows 11 he had installed & everything would come right once they created an update. This situation had gone beyond ridiculous. In desperation I called another company for help. They sent a technician who couldn't believe what he was hearing or seeing. He worked on the computer for 2 hours restoring it to full functioning order & finding & reinstalling the lost software. He said the supposed software issue with HP was not true. I have seeked redress from Geeks to pay for the tech I am having to pay for to fix up their mess. They agreed & I am hoping the refund will appear in a timely manner. It was a very stressful experience & many wasted hours going around in circles.

Hopeless!!!

Hopeless!!!! Didn't even turn up. Took the morning off work. Received a reminder text that they would be here the night before then nothing. Didnt even have the decency to advise that they needed to reschdule until I rang them at 2pm to enquire how far away they were. Would definitely NOT recommend them!!!!

Geeks on wheels technician lacked knowledge and care

Asked technician why emails weren't loading for past few weeks. He advised my desktop was too old and would need replacing and offered to sell me a new one. However after having purchased this and had it installed the email problem remained. He then went through email settings and found the problem was there, not the computer at all. In other words there actually was no immediate need to replace the computer :-(. He left but I realised the monitor was now displaying a really poor image with distorted pictures and really poor resolution which should have been obvious to anyone! I asked the tech to return and fix the problem. This he eventually did having discovered the settings on my monitor had not been updated to the new computer. He left again. However he had had not tested my printer which would not print at all. He returned again after I had contacted geeks on wheels who insisted a further visit would incur a significant further charge which I did not accept. In the end I talked to GOW manager and he agreed the return visit would NOT in fact incur a charge. He then installed a new program to run scans on the printer and the printer appeared to print. However after he left we discovered it would not print landscape [the test page was not full size but only half the size of the paper] and there was still a fault. I requested a further visit via the manager. He said I should not text him but that he had asked the technician to return a further time. 5 days later I still hadn't heard from the tech. I decided to solve the problem myself and discovered the tech had not installed the driver for the faulty printer. I downloaded it myself tonight and the printer works faultlessly. I do not believe this technician demonstrated adequate knowledge or care in completing this job and can certainly NOT recommend Geeks on Wheels

Adam is incredibly talented

I was really stressed for two days and even teary trying to fix two technical issues on my own. I had no one to help, felt completely stuck, and had no idea what to do.

When Adam arrived, everything changed. His calm and professional demeanour instantly put me at ease. He not only fixed everything flawlessly, but also took the time to talk me through each step, explain the issues clearly, and make sure I understood.

Adam went above and beyond the call of duty, he was so kind, thoughtful with my little place, and truly made a difficult experience so much easier. His technical expertise is outstanding, and he is the perfect role model for the company.

I honestly believe Adam deserves a promotion and pay increase for the exceptional way he represents the business and supports clients. I am so grateful for his help.

Bad customer experience

Waited a week for my appointment only to be called on the day to say technician sick and they couldn’t get me another appointment until the following week.
I had rearranged my entire day to ensure I was home for the 8-12 morning slot (as they couldn’t give me an exact appointment time) but the person who called had no empathy for my situation, he was matter of fact and offered no other help. He was happy to just cancel my appointment altogether. So rude. Will never use again.
Called another company who pulled strings to get someone to me today.

E-mail lock out.
I was locked out of my e-mail account since 21st February when I changed I.S.P. Nothing I tried worked.
Angus solved my problem by installing Whatsapp and swapping my phone sim card to his personal phone. I am very, very grateful. He solved a problem which had baffled me for over two weeks.

Chance, the Technician, was extremely helpful and knowledgeable. He made a tech ignorant, old lady feel at ease and answered all questions politely and positively.
