The shop assistant refused to let me use the changing room to try on a jacket stating it was company policy, but you could try on other items of clothing which I found quite frankly unbelievable. He made me feel very uneasy. I will not be rushing back to this store. I will say the lady behind the till was lovely.

Fab shopping trip today, and four pairs of shoes bought. Many thanks to Hannah W for her help throughout the long process! She was constantly helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. There were two of us trying, rejecting, and contemplating a variety of footwear, but she remained calm, and we never felt rushed. As a result multiple purchases made.

I went to GO Outdoors to look at walking boots for the first time, and needed help and advice. I found Rob in the walking boot section and he immediately took the time to explain the different types of boot, shoe and there uses. We then tried on multiple sets and sizes, with Rob offering my advice along the way. His help and advice guided me to choice I am very happy with. Excellent experience to be supported by a team member who clearly cared about the customer, and was not trying to push the most expensive product (I still bought a high cost item). Thank you Rob!

Visited the Go Outdoors store Metrocentre today & what a great experience. I was helped by Daniel who just gave a first class service 👌. He was so helpful & very knowledgeable. He listened to what I was looking for & I ended up purchasing a Brasher Waterproof coat,which I’m very pleased with.

We were served today by Tom T, who gave us excellent advice and customer service. I had only intend to browse, but ended up with a new coat and 2 pairs of walking trainers. All of which I am delighted to have purchased.

I had an awesome experience at Go Outdoors in the Metro Center today.
I was greeted by a member of staff called Tom. I've never met a more polite, enthusiastic, knowledgeable, and,uplifting shop assistant before in my whole life and I've had a lot of life, trust me. That guy certainly knows his stuff and taught us a lot in our 20 minute visit.
Tom definitely restored our faith in shopping in store.
I will be back.

Customer service inside the Metrocentre Gateshead store is refreshingly positive! The gentleman (if didn't catch his name) who helped me with my walking boots was very friendly and Andi who served us on the till was lovely, friendly helpful and a credit to your store. More Customer service like this needed elsewhere.

Dan on the shoes section is fantastic at his job! It’s the best service we’ve had in any store in a long time. Great product knowledge, friendly, helpful and professional. We passed our thank onto the manager but wanted to write a review too so he gets some recognition! Thanks again!

Daniel served me yesterday. He was excellent. I have a problem with my left foot and he was able to provide walking shoes that were comfortable. He was polite informative and helpful.

Im not one for shopping, especially at this time of year as often the sound of people shouting and stamping their feet, yelling at their partners and generally driving like maniacs keeps me at home. Last week I braved the metrocentre in the evening to buy my partner a warm winter coat.

The Go Outdoors shop was thankfully quiet and empty apart from a young man, Tom, chatting to a customer at the till.

The gentleman Tom was chatting to was speaking in a loud voice, his trousers were held up with string and as I approached I could see that this fella was finding life tough.

Tom was chatting animatedly, fully aware that this man was in the shop for warmth, light and human connection. If I was to talk to any of my colleagues and friends about the true meaning of Christmas it was Tom giving this man his time, attention and care.

Ive talked about Tom and his kindness this week when talking about relational strategic change... It's all about how we foster relationships, care for ourselves and others.

I hope Go Outdoors realises the importance of the gesture of kindness that I saw that evening and how the coat I bought to keep my partner warm will be long gone before I forget Tom's compassion.

James was brilliant, absolute credit to the store.James had all the knowledge and helped with sizing and even shown us the best way to lace up the boot. If it wasn’t for James we would have been buying the wrong size boots again.
