Long queues and lack of organization
Disorganized airport with consistenty hour-long queues for baggage check-in, not worthy of an airport in a developed country. Even though this is a persistent issue, there are still no self-service baggage drop facilities. I avoid this airport whenever possible.

Mauvaise gestion d’imprévus
L’aéroport paraît vieillissant et sa capacité est relativement limitée, notamment en comparaison avec celui de Zurich. Par ailleurs, à notre arrivée, les passagers n’ont pas été autorisés à débarquer en raison d’un risque d’orage. Pourtant, les conditions météorologiques étaient encore favorables au moment de l’atterrissage, et nous avons dû attendre plus d’1 h 30 à bord que l’épisode orageux se termine. Il est légitime de se demander si un débarquement aurait pu être effectué avant l’arrivée de l’orage, ce qui aurait évité cette longue attente. Dans l’ensemble, la gestion de cet imprévu par les équipes de l’aéroport m’a semblé insuffisante, notamment en raison du manque d’anticipation et de l’absence de solution permettant de limiter l’attente des passagers.
Simplement lamentable
Simplement lamentable, 5 compagnies enregistrent aux mêmes guichets, arrivé 1h30 en avance et enregistrement terminé obligé de reprendre un billet, aucun appel micro et les individus chargés de faire la circulation se foutent complètement que vous avez un vol a prendre ils vous font faire la queue
Geneva Airport has serious problems…
Geneva Airport has serious problems managing passport control at busy times.
On my recent visit, the queues for passport control were exceptionally long and barely moving. With around 40 minutes until my flight, I asked whether there was any way to expedite the process. The answer was simply “no.”
What was even more concerning was that there were passengers in front of me whose flights were due to depart in less than 20 minutes, and they were also refused any assistance or priority access. Staff showed little interest in helping or finding a solution, despite it being obvious that many people were at risk of missing their flights.
I understand that airports can become busy, but when queues reach this level there should be contingency plans in place. Better staffing, improved queue management, or a system to help passengers with imminent departures would make a huge difference.
This was a very stressful end to what had otherwise been an enjoyable trip to Switzerland. I hope Geneva Airport takes these concerns seriously and improves the passenger experience

Outdated security systems still require you to remove liquids and electronics from bags, but signage leaves much to be desired. Small TVs above security demonstrate more slowly than the time you are there, and waste disposal for larger liquids leave much to be desired.
That said, it's still an okay airport and better than the average reviews give it credit.

Very disappointing experience at Geneva Airport.
On 21 June 2026, around 08:30, I was travelling with my 7-year-old son when we were approached and intimidated by an aggressive individual in a café before the security area. The incident frightened my child and made us feel unsafe.
What is particularly concerning is the growing presence of homeless individuals in the airport’s public areas. During a short stay, we observed several people occupying restaurant and seating areas.
After the incident, we went to the airport police post for assistance, but no officer came to speak with us. We were simply told via intercom to call 117.
An international airport should be a safe environment for families and travellers. Unfortunately, this was not our experience.

Generally good but what is the point of supplying charging points in departure lounge if they are not switched on or have no power?
NO ROAD SIGN indicating ARRIVALS/DEPARTURES OR TERMINALS…
NO ROAD SIGN indicating ARRIVALS /DEPARTURES or even simply TERMINAL. There are overhead signs about PARKING 1, PARKING 2, LONG TERM parking, Short TERM Parking but not a single tile directing you to the TERMINAL. I ended up, I kid you not, on a lane with the sign KISS AND FLY. "Kiss and Fly"? What is this? Some kind of childhood game played but Marvel super heroes kids? I had never seen anything like this in my entire life traveling around the world (probably over 250 airports so far). Insane and profoundly imbecillic. Just tell me where I can DROP OFF or PICK UP a passenger. Also tell me where I can PARK my car if that is what I want to do, but don't tell me to drive onto a lane where I can kiss someone. Kiss and make up? Kiss and pet? Kiss as first base? Kiss my ass goodbye?

I need help. the airport service is dreadful... we (a family)had a very poor experience , because of which we had do make double expenses..... and wait at the airport from 03 to 05 of May.... it was a drastic experience...... I with my family were departing from Geneve Airport on 04.05.2026. WE arrived 6 hours before the flight at the airport. Our flight booking number was KCJFS55 easyJet-from Geneve to Tbilisi. The gate opened only one hour before the flight. The flight was supposed to be at 06.25. We had to wait in the LOOONG line after which we were kept at passport control at 05.30. After which the the passport control officer kept my father too long uselessly, (about 15-20 minutes) as we didn't have any issues with our documents. After that we ran to the gate. We were told that we couldn't get to the aircraft , declaring that were were late. They wouldn't listen to us and led us to the exit, leaving the my whole family with nothing. The flight was supposed to be at 06.25, but left earlier at 06.15 just when we were trying to explain. Thus we had double loss. We didn't fly, losing our money and time, moreover we had to book another flight from Geneve to Istanbul. The flight number -PC954 at an expensive price. The next flight to Tbilisi was supposed to be on 07.05.2026, two days later. I contacted to the easyJet company, they said I have to write to the airport.
Plz help me, where can I address on this issue , how to get the compensation of the doble expenses which me had to make because of the fault of the passport officer or airport.

The craziest Kiss and FLy lane of every airport in the world : it is one lane without possibility to park on the side to stop ...This morning there were atleast 200 m of line to just enter the kiss and fly lane: the obligation to stop the whole traffic in order to unload people creates a mess ... And the best is that on order cope with the way some people are trying to inload peole outside the kiss and fly area they deploy several policepersons to prevent that ... The guy who designed this deserve the ig-Nobel prize

Utilisation fréquente 🧑✈️
Utilisé assez souvent, j'aime beaucoup la disposition des boutiques et des services aéroportuaires (enregistrement, contrôle,embarquement...) clarté et diversité. Le personnel est agréable, surtout éfficace et professionnel. Les tarifs sont souvent plus intéressants que les homologues français exception parkings.
Les connexions inter-compagnies sont remarquables et je sais de quoi je parle. Bravo ! 👏

As everyone says...diabolical airport experience. Passport control takes hours and you can't go to it until your gate is announced. Nearly half the plane would have missed the flight if they didn't wait for everyone. It's so simple to fix too (if you are remotely operationally competent, which sadly they seem not to be). Lots of pointless shops with minimal places to sit, eat or drink too. Who designed this mess?!
Worst airport ever
Worst airport ever, 2 hour passport queue on arrival. Return trip we walked from Terminal 1 to Terminal 2 to checkin. Then a bus took us back to Terminal 1 to enter the transit area, we then walked back towards Terminal 2 to board. How can Geneva charge airport fees. Geneva airport is a disgrace to the Swiss brand….stop using the tagline Swiss You Soon. Must dash we now need to get on another bus to board the plane - Geneva I won’t be seeing you soon.

I had an early morning flight, so I lay down on a floor to catch some rest as I had no other choice. Security guard came at 4am and KICKED ME in the foot to wake me up.
Whilst at the same time there were obvious homeless people pushing literal trollies full of garbage trough the airport.
I haven't been treated like that at any airport in the world. Disgusting.
