Halcyan Water Conditioners Opiniones 

We had thought about getting a water softener for many years while researching we came across water conditioners as an eco friendly alternative amongst them Halcyan. After filling in the contact form we were promptly called by Chris who answered all our questions and we called again to ask more questions as it’s quite an investment however after considering no salt required, no filters required and the fact it doesn’t take any space we invested and then called our regular plumber to install which took about 2 hours as he also raised the stopcock above the floorboards for ease of access. Immediately after the install we ran the water in the shower the screen which was cloudy with limescale and which couldn’t be removed without products and a LOT of scrubbing started to dissolve and came away with light rubbing using a microfibre cloth. We then filled the kettle and watched as the limescale started to come away from the element. The other thing we noticed immediately was the feeling of skin after washing hands usually we need hand cream. We were cynical but it’s working and no need for an additional tap like with a softener which would have required a lot of upheaval as floorboards would have had to come up. Really really pleased with this product.

I had to think hard about buying the in-line unit from
Halcyan as the unit appeared to be very efficient and long lasting(30yrs) but expensive.
However, I did buy one and got a local plumber to fit it and have not regretted the expense. It showed its effect within a month. Thankyou Halcyan!

Really responsive to all my enquiries and we now had the product installed for months and seeing even more benefit than we expected!

We live in a hard water area and I’m pleased to say that after installing the Halcyan unit we have not seen any additional limescale build up. We do get some white residue around the sink drains, but it does wipe off easily. It’s too early to say whether we have seen the limescale previously in the pipes and water system erode, but I’m hopeful given the recent results.

Not sure how it actually works, but the Halcyan Water Conditioner does somehow reduce the hard water scale, without the need to add any salt etc. I've had it installed for about 4 months now and its been performing consistently. Hopefully it will stand the test of time

Great experience from start to install - Chris helped guide us through why the Halcyan is better than our old Water Softener for our needs and helped find a plumber in our local area who's installed it before.

We installed the Halcyan H2o9 water conditioner in October 2024. We are very happy with the performance of this unit. Since installation we have noticed a marked reduction in limescale accumulation on bathroom taps and porcelain. Any deposits that do occur are easily removed during routine cleaning.

The device worked well at first. We all noticed the diffrence, and there were visibly fewer markings in the shower, and taps etc. However, after five months, its performance has droped significantly to just a fraction of what it was. Shampoo not lathering like it used to, Unfortunatly, as the reviews confirm, Hacyan seems more focused on arguing the point rather than fixing problems, making it difficult to get a replacement or refund. If they actually looked after people who had issues, it would stop new buyers being put off. This is exactly how a company ends up failing. Even if you don't agree, just refund me and move on, arguing and being difficult lead to this review !!

I have been very impressed with Halcyan the customer service is second to none Chris in particular is very knowledgeable and a pleasure to deal with.
I purchased a system for my mum ( I was originally going to get a softener as that is what I have ) as she is elderly and didn’t want her carrying heavy bags of salt and bending down to put them in a softener and also to fit a softener would have needed a long pipe run from the front of the house to the back with visible pipes that had to be boxed in ect.
So I searched for a alternative for halcyan it solved all the issues we had around installing a softener ( it’s been in now over a year and no sign of any limescale )
My own water softener has now packed in after only 6 years and a purchase price of £2000 and I am of course out of warranty ( only 3 years given )
So I have now purchased a halcyan for my own home saved my self a fortune as this system is cheaper and I won’t have to keep buying salt. And I am covered under warranty for 30 years 🙌🙌

I'm very happy with the product - noticing the difference in water softness immediately, and the company were very helpful and efficient when I was sorting out the guarantee.

I have installed this little miracle piping, as I call it, in a flat recently. What clever technology!! Saving space, time and money in the long run!

I am so happy with the product as I don’t have to clean all those white spots in the shower glass enclosure anymore.

Honesty they did not try and sell the unit to me, I felt informed and they allowed me to make my decision in my own time. This is the second unit I have purchased as it does what it says on the tin, easy to install and saves space and a lot of hassle refilling the salt in the old water softener.

I recently had the halcyan conditioner installed and initially we had no issues but for the last 4 to 6 weeks we are seeing large amounts of lime build up inside our dishwasher and kettle. I'm not sure if the conditioner is removing all the built up scale in my water system or if it's not working at all. I've emailed my concerns to the the sales rep I was dealing with but yet to receive a reply. I have read all the information on their website but can't find anything on what we are seeing. I'm concerned that I just wasted €1300 including fitting on something that's making my water system worse.

As installers for Halcyan, we decided to get a unit ourselves, so from both points of view we are impressed! As a company we find them easy to deal with, happy to help and you can speak to someone when you need to, as a customer, the very same! We have now installed this amazing device for a fair number of our clients and they are all impressed, you can taste the difference immediately, let alone all the other benefits.

Whilst the product has made a small difference to the water and subsequent cleaning away of build up on shower screens I take issue with the website claims which, in my experience, are not true.
The site claims that it ‘removes old limescale’ but if that is the case I wouldn’t expect to see any limescale in my toilets at all. But there certainly is and I have had the product installed for over 6 months.
The claim is also that the calcite build up on shower screens is like a powder and it can easily be wiped off with a wet cloth. This is also very far from the truth.

I have made contact and complained and the goalposts keep on changing because now it depends on the part of the country we are in as to how effective it will be. When I spoke with them on the phone prior to buying the product they knew full well I was in a hard water area. They also claim that the video I sent through shows that the calcite is easily being removed …. But it requires elbow grease to do it and the calcite product is definitely not a powder that can be easily wiped away.

To be clear the claims on their website are simply not true and require some ‘small print’ to actually be honest about what this product does or in this case does not do. If they feel that I am being unfair then I would suggest that their legal team contact me about the misrepresentation of the facts with regards to this product.

They did respond …. But it took them two months to do so. My issue is that the realise does not simply ‘wipe off’ and I still need to use a cleaning product with it. It is easier admittedly but it is no where near as easy as they suggest.
If they wish to contact me directly I would suggest they do so!
It is comical that they offer to use my video to demonstrate how their product works because it does not do what they say it will do.....simple as that.

We've had the in-line water conditioner for two years now. We definitely see an improvement in the water quality - there is less lime scale and it is easier to remove. However, it is far from the perfect solution. We still suffer from lime scale in our appliances, most noticeably the kettle, and it builds up in the less obvious places such as under the toilet rims, in shower door crevices etc. Lime scale remover cleans it off if it is applied before the scale builds up too much. After two years though I'm still not satisfied with the overall outcome and intend to install another saltless solution to remove the remaining scale. I should add we live in an area of hard water (Oxfordshire).

Initial conversation with Halcyan was very informative and their commercial clientele gave me confidence in their conditioner product. It is now fitted and working very well. It has totally eliminated limescale and is a much better idea than a softener filling you with sodium!

Our Halcyan water conditioner was easy to install in a very restricted space which was a big advantage. It has reduced the amount of hard limescale generally but we still need to de-fur the kettle and showerhead from time to time. Overall we would definitely recommed it.

I purchased my Halcyan water conditioner last year and so it’s been working around 6 months. Initially, I didn’t see a difference, however over the last two months I really can. My shampoo and body wash now bubble (previously the water was so hard there wouldn’t even be a sud). I can also see that it’s starting to make a difference on the taps, which had been badly marked by previous timescale. I would definitely recommend.
