Hell on earth mortgages more like. Got thrown onto these con artists after NRAM went bust. Only found out the true extent of how much they've been ripping me off the other month when I tried to request a payment holiday. Not missed a payment in over 9 years and have actually over paid on some occasions yet still got declined and they wouldn't give a proper explanation as to why that was. They had my mortgage split into 4 segments and were treating them all as separate loans, thus bleeding me dry for money. Heaven knows how much they've taken me for over the years. Thankfully, I've nearly completed a Remortgage with a high street lender at a much better rate (Fixed for 5 years too). The more customers of these parasites jump ship the better. They need to go bust.

I never wanted to be with them in the first place I was with stupid greedy Northern Rock who were taken over by loan sharks NRAM and then they sold to Satan himself Heliodor Mortgages or know as Topaz Finance.
They keep saying that they are here to help but they are not there staff are so not empathetic with what is happening in your life they keep repeating the same things and I have also had one of them be very rude to me in his tone of voice like I was not paying money into his own bank account to which I told him he was rude. I have complained so many times and every time the reply is that what they have advised is right and if I don’t like it then go to the ombudsman which they know have such a backlog of complaints that it’s going to be years before you get a result. I could tell you all so many more times I experienced the little satanisms. I am in the process of getting rid of them for good.

Awful company to deal with. Awful. Their incompetence led to sale of a property breaking down. How these cowboys get away with existing I will never know.

Making everything an absolute nightmare when trying to close accounts with them.

Solicitors waiting for a redemption statement through Topaz as they were on the mortgage deeds, only to be told 2 days before completion that the account number was incorrect, where as in fact we needed to request through Heliodor, and now we are likely to miss completion as there is no way to expedite. All their fault. Absolute charlatans.

Appalling customer service. Completely inept staff who just leave you on hold for long periods obviously hoping you will discontinue call. Had the bad luck of acting with clients authority to resolve issues. Staff cannot understand anything, completely disinterested, zero empathy/understanding and limited intelligence. Any query or question, referred as staff can't comprehend anything. Logged two formal complaints , one not registered the other not dealt with. Client logged two formal complaints, same results. Been on hold again for 30 minutes whilst another member of Heliodor staff looks into issue. Once again hoping I terminate what they view a challenging call!
Unsure how a like this can exist under FCA and PRA Legislation when clearly don't 'give a fig' about customers, business professionals or reputation risk. Unfortunately, zero or a minus score is not an option!

Considering this company have been ripping me off for years I have probably paid them enough to have my own personal mortgage advisor! Useless, rude and morally bankrupt bunch of loan sharks! Anyone who works for them needs to take a long hard look in the mirror! Expect to be treated like something on the bottom of your shoe by politicians and executives but not from working class people on their ‘no helpline’
Hoping the courts bring this company down soon! They will be held accountable!

Called this bunch 5 times, first time was 32 minutes waiting on hold.
Got cut off by them on first call as soon as I was connected, the next 4 calls were also cut off by them, they even called me back for 3 minutes, and then again cut me off.
The time I spoke to them, they said I still had another payment to come out on July 1st 2022, after paying the mortgage off in June 2022.
Direct Debit cancelled for their apparent July 2022 payment, also have tried to register onto their Online Self-Serve Facility, that doesn't work either because the details I give are wrong.
I will now wait for them to contact me with regards to their payment requests.
I dread to think how many home owners this company is causing stress and anxiety to.
I actually think they prey on people who do not check their mortgage payments, until its too late the Heliodor Mortgages have their money to earn interest on.

Horrific sent money to pay of unsecured loan on 07/06/2022 not been allocated to clear the loan balance yet 22/06/2022.
The business has a real issue been on hold for 1 hour and on hold still.
I will be calling the regulator in the morning as my sister works there.

Remortgaged, funds sent by new lender on 31 May 2022 but went 'missing' at Heliodor Mortgages. Self-serve still shows that I have a mortgage with them so this month I've paid in excess of £800 for two mortgages. I've now stopped my Direct Debit so if this isn't resolved, my credit rating will be adversely affected. Not really about the money anymore, I'd like to see this mob taken to task. Maybe legal action is the way forward.

Now been waiting for 10 days to get a redemption statement, missed 2 completion dates on my new property. Possibly the worst run company I’ve ever dealt with, constant lies, hanging up on calls, clueless and really don’t care, escalated to the FOS, avoid these lot and Topaz finance at any cost

Absolutely abhorrent, they make things up at every phone call, probably because the staff are untrained and don’t know what they are doing, fobbed off on every question even tho they say “I assure you”, Their words mean nothing and don’t believe any promise they make , you would think that they would be happy to process your money to pay off your loan or mortgage , but the hassle that is involved is crazy.

Topaz financial services are providing a poor service to their clients. I had reported Topaz to the financial ombudsman about misinformation and they don't seem to care. Please be careful for having any dealings with these cowboys.

I have been unwell but managed to secure a lifetime mortage to 3% less than I owe but Helidor won’t discount the 3%. Despite being sent all the paperwork they have told me to find someone that will life time the full amount. This despite then knowing I have been trying for months to get as much as possible. Threatening to foreclose.

Stay well away

Absolute joke of a company, charge high rate of interest on mortgage, not wanting to help. Prey on people's financial vulnerability. Takes ages to get through IVR, when do they hang up on you....5 times in one day. Let's face it they are not a customer focused company, and you end up on there books without a choice. DISGUSTING.

Give your self between 15 to 40 minutes to get through to them. You have to navigate so many automated questions before you can actually speak to someone. To be fair the people I have spoken to are friendly, it just takes so long to get there. Dont just take my word for it, head to the helidor website and under the compliants section you can have a look at the compliants data which they have to publish. Numbers are pretty high so use that to make an informed decision

Absolute joke of a company. Report missed payments when you’ve paid, screwing up your credit file. I paid off my mortgage on the 3rd of sept & they report I’ve missed aug and Septembers payments resulting in my new mortgage pulling out as they haven’t sent the statements. They treat you like your an idiot!

Awful company to deal with. Almost impossible to get through to ‘customer service’ and when you do they aren’t able to answer questions. Everything is a promise that someone will call back and they never do. Trying to make a sale on a property to clear the debt but they won’t reply to solicitor. This company needs regulatory action taken against them.

don't rate this company at all I've had lost payments on my account which they have stated was refunded to the account that it was paid from which it wasn't. they also don't answer phone when u call them and don't use email to communicate therefore there is no way of communication with customers

very poor customer service and inconvenience

I waited long enough for the sellers to sort things out with this company but I just couldn't wait any longer. I think they deliberately hold things up to avoid mortgage redemptions. The sooner they go belly up the better, government needs to intervene here.
