I love going to HMV so friendly if I can't find wat im looking for they go get it for me they ask if im looking for anything else

Poor quality pressings!
I recently made several purchases from HMV during the 1921 event, re-issues of classic vinyl in different colours. Out of those I purchased I had to return 2 because they were very bad pressings, the quality of the others was just acceptable. Very very disappointed indeed with my purchases but can't fault the returns policy as I had no issues getting a refund.

Great product and price
Great product and price. I loved the fact that if it's sent to a store, it's essentially 'free' postage. Packaging was great too!

Lucky me, 2 Kerry king vinyls bought
I had been bought 2 vinyls that were the same for my birthday, luckily both from HMV. One was an online purchase the other from a store. I was in Blackpool for my birthday weekend and took one of the vinyls back to the Blackpool store to see if I could exchange one (with either copy of online receipt). The store was very helpful and ordered me a vinyl that I wanted to be delivered to my local store as it was not available in store. Both Blackpool and Mansfield stores were very friendly, polite and very helpful.

As the only high street store for music…
As the only high street store for music and film, HMV is vital for those of us who are not too happy ordering online. The Blackpool branch has always been a pleasure to visit. The staff are informative, very friendly - and always so helpful.

I love you HMV but time and time again…
I love you HMV but time and time again its unclear if your releases come with a slipcover or not? I know every webstore uses stock images but please try resolving this issue.

Thanks for leaving us a review. Please be advised that the majority of our images mainly focus on the cover of the product and we crop out the actual case so that our customers can see the cover clearly. Apologies if this was perceived as a slipcase and thank you for bringing this to our attention; we'll raise this for review.
Whilst most studios will have a slipcase on their major releases for the first initial manufacturing run, after that stock has sold through they will revert to a normal amaray case without a slipcase. Unfortunately both versions have the same product code and barcode so it is impossible to know when that change happens.
Thank you for allowing us to explain our position on this matter, we look forward to seeing you in-store or online again soon.

The guy that served me in the shop at…
The guy that served me in the shop at Blackpool could not have been more helpful. He was outstanding and arranged a delivery of a toy for my son which arrived and he’s over the moon.
It’s not often these days you get a great customer experience but I definitely did.

Good range of products and service at HMV Blackpool
Having visited a few stores in Blackpool for suitable wired headphones and not finding either a suitable product or good service I gave up. On my way home I passed the HMV store and wondered if they sold them. Upstairs they had a wide selection. Though most were wireless they had a fair number ranging from surprisingly lower prices than I expected to more expensive for the knowledgeable and discerning. I asked for help and showed my old, well used and loved headphones but now broken that connected to my Yamaha keyboard. He confirmed the wired headphones on display were suitable and explained the difference between over ear, like my old ones, and on ear ones along with answers to my questions. He confirmed the 3.5mm connector which plugged into my Yamaha adapter were on the headphones I was considering. I bought and left the store happy I found a store with products and service that turned my negative day's shopping to a positive one. I am 72, not into wireless tech, Bluetooth and similar - a bit old fashioned, behind the times perhaps but one thing I do know is good old fashioned attentive customer service will never go out of fashion and that was there at HMV Blackpool.
