Ordered 2 packs of hooks ( which could…

Ordered 2 packs of hooks ( which could have come in an envelope by first class post ) at a good price but was disappointed to see the cheapest p&p was 2.95 and would take 7 to 10 working days to deliver. Came in a box that was quite large for the size of the goods.

Hello John we use a set courier because every parcel needs to tracked and insured. If it could go with a stamp that would be great but unfortunately customers lie and say parcels haven't arrived which is why we need them tracked.

The boxes we use are called PIP boxes and they are designed to be small enough to fit in letterboxes. They are made from recycled paper and the reason we use them is to protect your hooks in transit.

In regards to delivery pricing we charge £2.95 but we pay £3.10 for delivery and then around 80p for PIP box and packaging so we actually take a hit on the postage to keep our prices competitive.

The 7-10 business days is highlighted multiple times before you pay. We have this as a worst case scenario, with us being a small company ran by one family we need to allow for things like school holidays etc with our children. 99% of orders including yours are dispatched within 24 hours.

I have actually checked your tracking and you ordered on a Wednesday night before a bank holiday weekend so and your parcel arrived within 2 business days so I'm a little confused now about why you would give us 3 stars.

As I have said before we are a small family company ran by myself and my wife and these reviews do actually effect our sales and how much money we earn. As far as I can see we haven't actually done anything wrong. Your parcel arrived within 2 business days and we even paid a portion of your delivery despite it only being a small order for 2 packets of hooks.
