Value for money. Immaculate - great reception. Great breakfast.

In the middle of a new and very attractive semi-industrial estate. We were warmly welcomed, despite being near midnight. Room was perfect, well thought out and deserves 4 stars. Breakfast was varied, ample and well cooked. I cannot recommend more highly. By booking direct price, including breakfast, was around €100. We will always use this hotel when we take the ferry.

Au milieu d'une nouvelle zone semi-industrielle très attrayante. Nous avons été chaleureusement accueillis, bien qu'il soit près de minuit. La chambre était parfaite, bien conçue et mérite 4 étoiles. Le petit déjeuner était varié, copieux et bien cuisiné. Je ne saurais trop recommander. En réservant directement, le prix, petit déjeuner compris, était d'environ 100 €. Nous utiliserons toujours cet hôtel lorsque nous prendrons le ferry.

I live in Tennessee and i reserved a room at the holiday inn on Watson road in St louis for last Saturday night. I was going to visit my father for his 95th birthday. On the Friday night before we left for St louis, my wife fell in the shower and broke her hip and she was in the hospital. I called the next morning to cancel the reservation, explaining the circumstances and they charged me for the room anyway, and they might have rented it out to someone else and got paid twice for it. I have stayed there many times over the years when I visited my father, but never again. they lost a good customer and I'll bad mouth Holiday Inn to every one I know.

Holiday Inn Milton Keynes

Holiday Inn Milton Keynes:
There was an accident involving an older lady outside this hotel and I was incredibly impressed with the care, attention, and professionalism that four key members of staff demonstrated to aid & support the lady who accidentally slipped outside the hotel and managed to cut her chin. The staff was so on point that I had to ask for their names to give them credit and acknowledgement, & also to promote a baseline as to how things should be done.

Namely: Tiana, Blair’s, Thusita, & Cristina rushed to the ladies aid with first aid kit & complete attention on the ladies wellbeing, & assisted her in every way.

Should management get to read this review please honour each member of staff as they was priceless in compassion.

I would certainly recommend this hotel and feel completely comfortable staying here again.

Tops with one problem solved

Yesterday I wrote an angry review about this hotel. Despite its many good points,Holiday Inn Derby, breakfast yesterday was a disaster. Very loud and discordant music drove us from the room. However complaints to the hostess and a long discussion with the manager brought about a great improvement. We were shown to a lounge area where there was only peace and quiet. We were able to eat, talk and admire the view of the city.
This quiet option should be available to all guests, perhaps offered as they enter the breakfast area. They should not have to ask for it
Staff attentive, food good
Two days ago I wrote a very angry review about this hotel. I now wish I could take it back. The original problem was loud and discordant music which drove us from the breakfast room. Yesterday, as noted above, we were able to eat in the lounge. Today the volume was lowered to the point that we could eat in the breakfast room itself.
As for accommodation, room large, comfortable and quiet. Above all,the staff make the place, they could not have been nicer

Bed bugs in bedrooms

My husband, my 12 year old daughter and I stayed one night on the 16th of August at the Holiday Inn Express Cheltenham Town Centre. The stay was pleasant and we generally enjoyed it.
After checking out, by the evening, I started coming up with little marks along my neck, arm and hand. By the following morning these turned into really itchy bite marks. And 3 days later my neck, arm and hand were fully covered in bed bugs marks.
At that stage my daughter’s statement that the bedsheet in the hotel looked like someone ate strawberry jam in bed started making sense as all the little red dots on the bedsheet were not jam marks but most likely blood stains from squashed bed bugs.
My body has been healing from these extremely itchy bites for the last two weeks and I’m still nowhere close to the end of this ordeal.

Holiday inn Slough

Holiday inn Slough. We stayed two nights 16th 17th August 2024. Great experience. There was a member of staff there called Leanne. She was amazing. I’ve not for a long time seen anyone work as hard as she did all weekend. She couldn’t do enough for you. She wouldn’t even let us tip her. Food was great, rooms the same. But Leanne was on another level 😊

Terrible hotel at Chingford London

Terrible hotel at Chingford London , but the worst is their guest relation services. They give wrong information to the customers, accept their mistake, but do not compensate. Awful customer service. I will try me best not to book with holidayinn again.

Sink overflows with nothing clogging…

Sink overflows with nothing clogging it. Have limited time to wash your hands before it fills up and you have to wait a while for it to go back down. Air Conditioner could be better (too humid). No hair conditioner, and no antibacterial soap (only fragranced hand wash). The free breakfast was good, yummy food. Really enjoyed it, went every day. Staff was kind and very helpful. Service was great.

Shocking experience in terms of the cleanliness .To begin with, I found that the room quality and cleanliness did not meet the standards I had expected. There were a few issues that caught my attention, such as the presence of mould on the bathroom curtains, dirty marks on the walls, and a silverfish sighting on the carpet. Additionally, one of the towels provided appeared to have been used already, and the area under the bed seemed to have been overlooked during cleaning.

Should have listened to other reviews! As others have had the same issues. I trusted these and paid a lot of money to leave my vehicle on this site. Went away for 11 nights, and on my return, there was a bump on my rear left side. I was told they had CCTV and told me that the drivers they had were highly experienced drivers, and it wasn't them, but failed to check the whole footage to confirm it wasn't anyone else. When I asked for proof of CCTV, they made it extremely difficult for me and told me to go through my insurance, and they would be willing to comply through my insurance. Having me pay excess up front and go through all that trouble. When all this happened in thier care. Very disappointed and disgusting with how they handled my situation. They are very dishonest and slow in responding, making it harder to try and sort. Now, I have hundreds of pounds worth of damage. Avoid at all cost as I am not the first!!!

I stayed at Holiday inn for business for a number of years. I acquired thousands of points for free rooms, then my account was deleted. The reward program is a scam. Do not stay at Holiday inn properties.

Terrible

Terrible. I had made reservation with prior payment. The front desk had very little idea and charged me again! The reservation doesn’t answer the call. The booking staff are pathetic to say the least. They have some good and some below par. They are not consistent. I would stay clear of them.

I booked this hotel due to convenient…

I booked this hotel due to convenient location and review on booking.com. I checked in around 6:30 pm. I was given room on 2nd floor when walked into the room. There was a strong smell of sewerage and sofa had a stain. I complained to the reception. They moved me to first floor disabled room. Room was bigger and A/C was fine but later in the evening it didn't work. Room was hot due to the weather, window can't be open fully. There was again a smell of sewage. I complained to the reception. I was told there is nothing they can do. They are full and don't have anyone to fix. If I am not happy write complain to the management. This is totally unacceptable. I couldn't bare that smell and room like a sauna. I left the hotel. It's a dreadful experience.

Avoid! Inadequate rooms and parking fines!

We booked a family room for one night as we had an early flight the next morning.
On check in we were told that we had 1 hour free parking to unload our luggage. However on our return home, we received a parking ticket even though we only stayed 23 minutes.
We booked a family room and it was so small there was hardly any room to move. There was a double bed and a small sofa bed, which wasn’t really enough room for 2 adults and 2 children.
Very disappointed. We would advise to shop around and AVOID this overpriced and underrated hotel.
What a shame!

Left stranded

The hotel left me stranded at the airport. When I called for a pickup, the receptionist told me their driver leaves at 2pm. I missed by just a few minutes. On the plus side, at least the didn't leave me stuck there in the am.

Then, when I finally found a last minute alternative, the receptionist refused to refund my stay. I canceled at 3:34 pm (per the cancelation email).

Don't stay here unless you have a car.

Thank you Holiday Inn staff

Several stays now, Liverpool line street last year and a couple at Brighton for conferences. I don’t want to be at conferences usually for a week, so I find the welcome, the hospitality and kindness of staff that go beyond the call of duty to look after me - most welcome that this is now my hotel of choice.
