Charged £60 for 18 minutes car parking .

I felt unwell/extremely tired whilst driving.Parked at Holiday Inn to recover.Received a £60 fine for staying 18 minutes in their empty car park.
Have actually stayed with this outfit in the past but will never do so again.
So Holiday Inn you might have stolen £60 from me this time , but you lose overall because you will never receive my custom again nor that of my relatives.

Deeply distressing experience

On the late night of March 12 2025, at Holiday inn Edinburgh (corstorphine, next to Edinburgh zoo), we had a deeply distressing experience at this hotel. The manager on duty used unprofessional and aggressive behavior, including verbally inappropriate language, and pressured us into making a large payment under duress. When we resisted, we were forced out of the hotel, and our luggage was withheld. They made us pay 150 pounds, I was willing to pay even more but I cannot accept the manhandling done to me and my partner.

Instead of addressing the issue, the hotel management has asked us to remove our review, justifying their actions rather than taking responsibility. We were placed in a vulnerable and unsafe situation, where our concerns were completely dismissed. Fearing for our well-being, we had no choice but to pay.

In previous responses, the management has focused on deflecting blame rather than acknowledging what happened. Their claim that we did not try to resolve the matter at the property is misleading, as they are fully aware of the way we were treated.

Just checked in for a two night stay at the Holiday Inn in Cheltenham

We have checked in for a two night stay at The Holiday Inn in central Cheltenham.
Paid more then £500 for one night- £1068 for two nights!!
Really surprised at how dated and basic the room is compared to Premier Inn, which is across the road (we stayed there last year for Cheltenham week)
Room is small, with a standard double bed and a strange looking, mis-matched sofabed to sit on, which has seen better days. There’s not even a wardrobe! Shower room only, which is very small. Staff are nice enough but would expect a lot more for the money. This is probably the lowest standard room I’ve ever stayed in, anywhere.
A shame, as we were looking forward to staying here.
If this is an example of their rooms, I would not recommend The Holiday Inn, especially not Cheltenham week. The only advantage of hotels etc. ramping prices up during Cheltenham week is the town centre is a lot quieter overall, which is probably down to the extortionate prices they charge.

The room was clean

The room was clean, I missed my flight n needed moderate price hotel near airport for $135. I checked in at 8pm. Hawthorne/ Los Angeles near McDonald's n gas station. I saw NBA stuff on tv n chilled plus showtime. My only complaint was the Continental breakfast started at 630am and I needed a shower after 30min gym( 24hr) but the shower had a lever/ knob I couldn't see on faucet. So I wasted 15 min asking for front desk help just to shower. Another factor is several bums outside on sidewalk walking to arco or fast food. But 4 star ⭐

An excellent breakfast experience.

Dropped into the Holiday Inn Shepperton to try the breakfast. It was a great experience…a lovely array of food and stellar service from Gerry Fernandez in the kitchen - nothing was too much trouble for him and his poached eggs were perfect. Also, very friendly greeting and super service from both Julie and Lauren in the restaurant.

No respect for disabled people and a lack of compliance with the Equality Act

Absolutely shambolic company. I initially booked through booking.com only to find that Holiday Inn's are supposed to have complimentary rooms for Carers. When I called to arrange a separate booking, I was advised that I would be charged around £454 for one room (the other complimentary) for two nights including breakfast for both myself and my Mother who is disabled.

I called to double check a few minor details the following day only to find out that we had been lulled into a false sense of security and in fact they had intended to charge us around £454 for the Carer room and around £480 for the adjoining accessible room.

We moved heaven and earth to try and resolve this, we spoke to central bookings, the Camden Lock Holiday Inn Duty Manager and even their Customer Services/Complaints department and were promised phone calls back and also didn't receive them. Everybody had a different story and nobody appeared to be educated in how the business operates.

We were eventually told that there was no accessible room and joining carers room at Holiday Inn Camden Lock and that this is why they intended to charge us twice.

This is an appalling company that does not respect customers and, in my opinion is operating unlawfully in not complying with the Equality Act as to reasonable adjustments in relation to disabled people. My Mum would not have been able to go without me.

I've duly cancelled our booking and would never ever use Holiday Inn again.

Hamburg ist eine Reise wert!

Lage an einer Hauptstraße, aber trotzdem ruhig. Professionelles, zuvorkommendes und sehr freundliches Personal. Zimmer tipptopp sauber. Danke, wir kommen gern wieder!

Bad Customer Service

Holiday Inn Great Barr.
I stayed for short break 24/12/24- 26/12/24. On the second day, I asked at reception if there was a lost property department after explaining where I thought my grandson had left his coat. I was advised "If it was left in the canteen, go and ask the bar staff then". The bar staff were polite but I was bought back to the reception area. I had to ask to speak to a manager to find out if there was a lost property department. This is basic information which all staff members should know. Later that evening when I asked at reception for the name of the staff I spoke to they were very reluctant to give the name. I was finally given a name but this turned out to be a fictitious name. Very unprofessional service.

Holiday inn Eindhoven en skrækkelig oplevelse

Hvis man kunne give minus 1 ville jeg give det. Tænk at tjekke ind på et værelse, hvor der ligger et andet menneske og sover. Det skete for mig. Personalet var ligeglade og var mest interesseret i om den sovende person havde opdaget det.
Der var larmende mennesker hele natten og der blev først ro ved 4 tiden om morgenen

Long wait for food

I went to holiday Inn Wakefield junction 40 for a meal and room only.
The wait time for food was ridiculous (an hour) , food was OK, atmosphere was lovely (recently done up), food expensive and you ahve to pay on ordering which is odd. Room was OK- standard room , bit warm even with the window open.

Holiday Inn at Filton

Holiday Inn at Filton, Bristol was lovely. Wonderful polite and professional staff. A nice comfortable room and a fantastic bed. Slept so well. It was quiet even though it was a minute from the m32. Parking was £5 for 24 hours. Took 15 minutes to drive to city centre and only 5 mins to major motorways. Would definitely visit again. Well done Holiday Inns.

HI Sydney Airport = fantastic

My 5 days of training was tiring but to arrive back at the hotel and be greeted by the lovely staff and ask genuinely how my day went and offered a nice cold beer made me feel better,
While all the staff were great Jessica and Sahash were amazing, such good customer service and really enjoy their jobs … and it shows !

Stayed at east Midlands airport Holiday…

Stayed at east Midlands airport Holiday inn rooms good comfortable bed food worst ever sent evening meal back could not eat it. Breakfast cold don't expect Michelin Star quality but do expect some form of positive quality , door to kitchen opened while getting breakfast to see a rather large member of staff sat on work surface while on his phone (hygiene PLEASE) would not use again

Amazing Staff that make you feel welcome!!!

Stayed at the HolidayInn Express in Stockport. All I can say is the staff there made my experience worth it. Emily Kasey, Ellie, Josh, Soham, Sue, Pauline, Jamie, Maria, Caroline, Megan, Manish, Dias and Jamal. I hope your manament take notice as whatever you guys are doing, keep it up. 5* star service that keeps one smiling. 🙏👏

The worst hotel in the whole…

The worst hotel in the whole world. I stayed at Wolverhampton racecourse. The receptionist were outstanding!! But the rooms were indescribable… just horrible! No fridge, no water although coffee and kettle were provided. Why would you provide a kettle without water? Is it a bait to exploit visitors? asked for water and was told I have to pay for it…. this is basic human need and right,!!I won’t recommend any holiday inn hotels at all, just stay away! Don’t let desperation make you opt for them!
