I bought an expensive watch from H, Samuels, after owning the watch for some months I found the linkage in the bracelet was rusting, on this occasion I was given the option to exchange the watch, as I was concerned about the quality of the watches and manufacturer I moved up the price scale to a bulova for sometime this watch worked well and performed well,at the point that it needed a battery replacement. I took it back to H Samuel’s to have the battery replaced during this period. My watch went missing (stolen)and I was told that it was going to be investigated, however, my watch never materialised after that,and as an option they invited me to choose another watch of similar price and quality. I then selected another Bulova a black one as there was not a Chrome one available as my first watch from them,after a short period of time I noticed that the date was no longer changing, I gave them two opportunity to put this right and they were unable to do so, I then requested my refund, and they refused so at that point Icontacted citizen advice for advice and I was told I was well in my rights to reject the Watch as it was not of merchantable quality, I am still trying to fight to receive my refund but at this time there is no sign of my refund….. this Bulova price range was almost £800, the problem with the black Bulova, the date window would not change to the current date, as it is a chromatic watch it has several multifunctional dials on its face, sweeping secondhand stopwatch a numerous other features, all the other features of the watch work fine but the date would not synchronise with the weeks and days of the year, I was told that it needed a new battery to correct this fault, but my previous Bulova that was stolen, when the battery was depleted everything on the watch stopped working, so the advice I was given that it needed a new battery. Does not make any sense at all., so now being told that it needed a new battery for the date to work seems ridiculous…

I was served by a young girl called Megan she was super friendly & made my shopping experience run really smoothly.she was very knowledgeable & knew her stock .she helped me pick a watch for my husband.she was really patient & listened to what I wanted .she took the time to find me what I really wanted unlike some assistants that just rush you .she showed great interest in me & was really friendly.she made my shopping experience in Croydon branch fantastic.great member of staff

I've Just visited Croydon store and Cece the sales assistant was amazingly helpful! Never had such attentive, customer service. Very happy with her customer service.

Amazing other than a pinch I've had no pain or problems and they look amazing 😊 really happy would highly recommend.

Visited the store last weekend (Croydon branch) and had the BEST customer service from Alison & Cece. Their knowledge and patience was incredible and they had the answer for all of my questions. I came in to look at engagement rings and they covered all bases, very pleased. If all stores had this level of service, I’m sure more customers would be more inclined to shop in their stores. Thank you ladies, H M Samuel’s is now my go to jewellery store.

Completely messed up my repair and now am stuck with a ring too big and band attached poorly

Definitely I won’t be buying there again. I bought gold earrings today, however, decided otherwise after an hour and wanted to return them. The lady was nice to sell it to me but her attitude changed when I wanted to return it. I was informed they are non refundable and she told me with attitude “I did tell you”. But the problem is she said it so fast at the time I misunderstood that they are returnable. I was made to feel very unwelcome and therefore I left. I’m just appalled by this experience. What is more, I just found out that if I’m returning item within 24h from the moment of purchase it is my statutory right to get full refund as in line with consumers rights!! Never ever again

I get to see the jewellery there before buying online

Went in to H Samuel Croydon today to but my wife an anniversary necklace. Oscar was fantastic: thoughtful, kind and insightful. The prices are v good for what looks like an excellent product. The manager was also very helpful and smiley! Genuinely thrilled and would return in a heartbeat... or at least for our next big anniversary!

We were visiting Croydon for the weekend and went into the branch in the large shopping centre. I was looking at a ring and was approached by a lovely lady (In her senior years) She was so patient and helped me with trying on different sizes, she even offered to order one in and get it posted.
She was so sweet and friendly. which more places offered a servive as good as this.
