Twee keer ben ik mee geweest met Pepijn op surf coachingsweek. In die weken heb ik super veel geleerd en heel veel stappen gezet. Dankzij de coachingsweken ben ik ook veel beter in staat zelfstandig verder te leren daarna. Super blij mee! Pepijn is een super goede, geduldige, empatische surf coach en bovenal een fijn mens!

It's always an eye opener to see yourself surfing and with the tips of pepijn it's an amazing combination if you want to improve! Pepijn gave some amazing tips and explained everything really nice and clear with great ''non-surf'' examples. After the session he also shared the footage and wrote a report with everything we have discussed during the session. I recommend it alot if you're serious about improving your surf skills :)

I approached Pepijn with the hope of knowing how to surf better. The coaching session definitely lived up to my expectations. Pepijn provided with very pratical tips both during the session and afterwards. With the footage and analysis report, I now very well know what to work on in the coming months or years. 😁

Very helpful tips! Pepijn knew exactly by looking at my surfing where I was struggling and gave clear advise and it worked straight away!

Pepijn is een hele getalenteerde coach en leraar. Hij kan dingen heel goed, helder en visueel uitleggen. Zijn aanwijzingen hadden direct effect op mijn surfen.

This trip with Pepijn was exactly what I was hoping for when I go for a coaching holiday. We learned so much in different ways! There is a lot of dedication and knowledge. Clear communication, good food and good vibes! Would definitely recommend it!

Superfijne coaching sessie gehad! Pepijn luistert goed naar je doelen en uitdagingen en geeft uitgebreide tips die ingewikkelde dingen ineens een stuk logischer maken.

De coaching sluit goed aan bij verschillende niveaus en de videobeelden (+ aantekeningen) maken het mogelijk om de sessie thuis nog uitgebreid door te nemen.

If you want te become a better surfer but you're done with taking normal surf lessons, then this surfcoach week is probably something for you as well.
I made a lot of progression in my turns and movement on my shortboard. Or at least I now know what to do better because of the feedback Pepijn gave me. He's making video clips of your surfing which later will be analysed by him (and the group so you will learn from each other). I found practicing turns and movement on the surfskateboard really helpful as well.
I really liked the placed where we stayed. Good food, swimming pool, nice vibe en clean rooms although they can be quite hot / warm at night when it was a sunny day.
The group was nice and really stoked to surf as much as possible. I like that. If you want tot go for a free surf you always find someone or more who wants to come with you.

Exeptional coaching. I don't think that you will get a coach like this anywhere if you are not a pro-surfer. There are not many coaches who go so much in depth, adjusting exactly to your surfing. There is absolutly nothing missing in this coaching experience. On top of that Pepijn is just a great human beeing, caring alot for all of the students. My 3rd trip / coaching with him already. Started 1,5 years ago and feel my surfing improved in so many ways.
10/10 would recommend!

Ik kan Pepijn 100 procent aanbevelen als coach. De afgelopen paar jaar heeft hij mij intensief gecoacht waardoor ik super snel ben gegroeid. Van down-the-line op een softtop naar het leren van o.a. turns en noserides. Hij stelt zich toegankelijk en begripvol op waardoor ik gemakkelijk mijn kwetsbaarheid met hem kan delen. In mijn ogen is dit een waardevolle eigenschap om te hebben als coach. Hierdoor heeft hij mij namelijk geholpen om angsten te overwinnen zoals het surfen van grotere golven en het comfortabel voelen in een overvolle line-up. Daarnaast heeft hij veel kennis en is continu bezig met zichzelf verder te ontwikkelen. In totaal ben ik 2 keer mee op trip geweest met Pepijn. Het verblijf en eten is super goed geregeld, video analyses zijn mega waardevol en hij geeft goede feedback en zelfs op flatte dagen weet hij je genoeg te leren zoals skaten in de bowl, duckdiven en theorie over boards, etc. Thank you Pep voor deze leuke week! Volgende trip ben ik weer bij 🐝

As this was my first surfcoaching trip I was not sure what to expect. On top of that the forecast showed a full week of flatness which created some doubt.

But what a great trip it was.
The group was awesome and because everybody is passionate about surfing the stories and good vibes kept on coming during the week.

Regarding the coaching, Pepijn can see the flaws in technique for each individual person and reflects them in such way they are easy to remember during your next surf.
Besides his coaching skills he is also a great and fun person to be around with.

Even though there were only small waves to surf, I still learned a lot through surfskating, breath holding exercises and other surf related coaching sessions (like watching a surf contest while Pepijn shared his knowledge from the surfers perspective).

While the timing of the flatness was unfortunate, it also created a opportunity to focus on the things which can otherwise be easily overlooked. The feeling of having fun at the beach during sunset while having a detailed coaching session the next day to improve your surfing is a great experience.
As I recommend this coaching trip even after a week of flatness I am sure this coaching trip wil be even better with some good waves to surf!

I had the pleasure of joining Pepijn on his 7-day coaching trip in France. I absolutely loved it and would totally recommend Pepijns trips to anyone who is considering it.

As this was my first acquaintance with Pepijn, I was not sure what to expect. However, the hear say of Pepijn being an amazing coach was fully true. From the very first moment, Pepijn created a pleasant, open atmosphere that resulted in a safe learning space for the group. He has extensive and deep knowledge about surfing and is able to transfer this easily and effectively through active learning methods. His dedication, enthusiasm and individual advices have led to highly valuable insights on how I can improve my surfing.

Even though it was flat almost the whole week, Pepijn rose to the challenge to keep us engaged through diverse surf-related activities such as surfskating, breathworks and surf theory (e.g. boards, turns). I may even have learned more from this trip through these activities than I would have during a full week in the ocean.

Heb een erg mooie en leerzame coachingsweek gehad in Vieux Boucau. Van tevoren was ik sceptisch omdat de voorspellingen niet goed waren. Maar Pepijn heeft er met de groep echt een leuke, avontuurlijke en interessante week van gemaakt! Geen enkel moment spijt van gehad en dat ik ook niet krijgen!

De golven waren erg klein, de locals zeiden dat het flat was. Desondanks erg veel geleerd door te surfen op de kleine golven, surfskate sessies en ademhalingsoefeningen te doen en wipe-outs te simuleren. Samengevat top ervaring! Zelfs met weinig tot geen golven! Mij zie je zeker terug Pepijn!

The coaching week with Pepijn was an amazing experience. Even though there were, unfortunately, little waves, Pepijn managed to fill the program with educational and fun activities. There are many things that I will take home from this trip that will help me to improve my surfing and I feel very motivated to do so. I got to know Pepijn as a coach who really connects with you on a personal level, while still being very professional. And apart from everything I learned, I also had lots of fun with the whole group who joined the coaching week. All in all, I would definitely recommend this coaching trip!

I went on a surfing trip to France with Pepijn. Even though this was a rare completely flat week in this area of France, I learned a lot. We went surfing on small waves with assignments to still make it interesting. Every evening we had analyses of either our surfing or surfing of the pro's, or surfspecific theory.
Pepijn looked for ways to improve surfing even without waves by putting the surfspecific theory into practice with surf skating or doing breathwork in the pool.

But what I enjoyed most of the week was the amazing vibe Pepijn created with the participants. He was really approachable and open which created a fun and safe learning environment, completely according to one of his pillars to just play and have fun.

I cant wait to use the tips and tools for my next surf session. I would definetely recommend!

The surf coaching week in France was the perfect mix of improving my surfing, while still feeling like being on a relaxing holiday. The detailed daily video analysis, combined with Pepijn's vast theoretical knowledge, have provided me with a lot of, and very importantly, achievable, tips to advance my surfing back home. It is also worth mentioning that Pepijn is an extremely nice guy, which makes for a great atmosphere during the trip.

The SURFinn accommodation in Vieux-Boucau was wonderful, with very friendly hosts and good food.

All in all, would definitely recommend! Will without a doubt join for another coaching week next year :)

The surf coaching week was a great combination of high-quality coaching and a nice trip with like minded surfers.
Pepijn has the ability to recognize key elements for improvement and explain them in an adaptive manner. Either with theoretical detail or more applicable. I have been on several surf weeks that included decent lessons, but the depth of information that I got during such weeks pepijn is able to explain in 10 minutes. Basically it was a lot of fun and I got more than enough information to improve my surfing in the coming time.

Super veel geleerd in een week en aan heel veel kunnen werken. Juist het surfen, analyseren en vervolgens weer toepassen is super waardevol.
Ik doe ook al coaching bij Pepijn en dit was een top aanvulling. Ik kon mooi verder met waar ik al mee bezig was.
Pepijn is een supermooi mens die veel aandacht besteed aan sfeer en opbouwende feedback. Hij is echt oprecht een heel goede coach!!!

Pepijn is extremely knowledgeable about everything surfrelated. This coaching week he gave me lots of usefull tips and tricks. I liked it!

I embarked on a renegade surf trip to the Maldives in March 2023. Everything about this trip felt different to my previous surf holidays, this was an elite experience and the coaching was another level to what I have previously experienced.

Pepi is a professional surfer, he competes for his country, it’s his life and when he’s not competing, he’s coaching.

Other coaches in the past don’t have his experience and knowledge, there’s a huge amount to learn in surfing and when you want to push yourself to that higher level, you want a professional….Pepi is that coach.

He can watch and analyse instantly what is going right and wrong, but not bombarding you with too much info and instead giving you a step by step guidance to follow. As anyone knows who surfs, you can be given too many instructions, which doesn’t work and becomes frustrating when you’re trying to remember and carry out. He completely gets this and makes sure you follow a step by step plan that works for you and allows you to work at it with him patiently guiding you.

There’s a lot of coaches out there who can give you basic guidance, but if you want to take it to the next level from intermediate upwards, you need a professional like Pepi.

His video guidance is so vital to improving and I’d say to anyone who wants to progress is to get him to analyse your videos. It’s so so helpful.

Also his knowledge on boards and what’s best for certain types of waves is also very useful. Even though I have a good understanding of what boards to use in certain waves, he helped explained the different aspects of board designs, as I’m sure you’re aware there’s lots on the market nowadays and his knowledge stopped me getting a custom. This is until I improve a lot more, which I will do under Pepi’s coaching in the future : )
