Cheap way of getting your property on Rightmove and Zoopla
As you know Rightmove and Zoopla don't let you sell your house directly. Iamtheagent let you do this for a flat fee of £395. You can even get a 'For Sale' board and photos for a bit extra if you want. You have to do the viewings yourself, but so what. People select through Rightmove and Zoopla, not a particular agent. The only point to consider is that conventional agents are no win-no fee. Here you don't get your £395 back if it fails to sell.
(BTW Rightmove and Zoopla charge agents a flat monthly fee, so this firm do very well if they get a lot of customers, but I couldn't find a cheaper one.)

Great - no issues
If you feel confident taking the photos, doing floorplans, writing the advert and doing viewings... it is a no brainer. I found being limited to just 10 photos a little restrictive but it just made sure I used good photos!

Great website, can always get hold of people to speak to if necessary too.
They're very up front about what you get and what you don't. It's not a full estate agent service, just a basic service for you to get your property advertised, then you do the rest (hence the title!). The website for uploading your ad is really good and flexible. You can amend it whenever you need. I also monitored some of the websites like rightmove.co.uk and checked it was succesfully syncing out my changes each time. I had lots of enquiries about the house, and their system for managing the enquiries works really well.
It's 99.9% all done online, but once or twice I had to phone them and when I did I got straight through and they were very helpful. Also one potential seller said I hadn't contacted them (even though I had), so they contacted IATA directly to enquire, and they were quick to pass this onto me.

What I want at the best price.
I found this company easy to deal with, no pushy sales. I only wanted my house advertised nationally on various web sites. At a low cost. We had to do our own promo but the option is there if you want to pay for it and that's fair in my opinion. And we get a direct link to potential buyers when they contact. I AM THE AGENT.

As stated earlier we were surprised you struggled to get a sale based on the number of enquirers you received.
Usually if a vendor is having problems converting viewings to sale they would contact us for advice; It seems no such attempt was made.

Good service though could be a bit more proactive
Everythings been very effortless and smooth with IamtheAgent from the start. I actually forget I am letting my flat until the statement comes in.
The only thing I would say to improve the service is they could be a bit more proactive about demonstrating their value eg. carrying out a check on the flat and letting me know everything's in good order. Although may tenant seems very sensible and I'm not worried, I haven't had any word of it's condition since I rented it. A few little things like this to show I'm on not just on their mind at renewal time would be good.

Easy and affordable service

simple and effective
Did our own photos, floorplan, description, viewings. Used local valuations as guide but we compared with the open market. Plenty of response and sold at asking price. Simple system gets you advertised on web and saves hundreds of pounds.

Effective way to sell a home in the right location
We used I Am The Agent to sell our flat in Central Cambridge.
We spent a considerable time preparing the text of a brochure, and taking good quality photographs.
We made sure the flat was in excellent decorative order
Armed with this preparatory work, we found it easy to set up the website template provided by I Am The Agent
We put the flat on the market and had the first response within a day
Within a week we had three potential buyers making bids
We set the flat up for viewing
We sold the flat for £49,000 above the asking price. We achieved £92,000 more than the identical flat on the same floor, which had been poorly presented and had been marketed by a traditional estate agent the previous year

Can't fault this service. Efficient.
A bit different but got there. Was worth it. Rented the flat within a week, with options. Forget estate agents, this is the way to go. Will use this firm for all other lettings. Read reviews and i hate moaners, Dear Yas, sort your life out, 12 months and you're not happy?

My flat appears available to rent when it isn't
Used 2 years ago, suddenly got an email from someone wanting to look round even though I've had no interaction since then. Phoned them and someone lied saying my flat wasn't up for rent when it was. Asked for someone to call me back, they never did.
