To start off, I went to the Whitby location. I have nothing bad to say about the actual workers that I have encountered, they have all given me great service but as for the company itself a little different. I always buy group vouchers as I never go by myself and so I have introduced this place to at least 5 people which might not sound like a lot but if you look at the prices, I brought a good amount of money to the company. At the end of your flights the workers always try and sell vouchers with a “discounted price” in hopes that you’ll return. I’d like to precise that my background is French and so is my first language. The last time I visited iFly, I brought my mother who doesn’t speak English fluently yet, we had a great time and everything went well, at the end of our flights I was talking to someone and the employee asked my mom if she’d like to purchase vouchers, assuming that there was more than one flight on the voucher and had a total of 8 minutes of flight time, my mother had assumed the employee was trying to sell her another group package. She paid and sent me the confirmation email so I’d be able to enjoy it with my friends, when I called to book, it wasn’t that at all. Turns out the 8 minutes can’t be split between people and can be only used for one person. I asked the employee if I’d be able to pay the difference or an extra fee to be able to split the voucher between two people and apparently “no can do”. The only thing that was proposed was to buy another 300$ voucher for the person I’d like to bring with me, it is ridiculous. If my mother would’ve understood better and if the employee would’ve taken the time to make sure she understands what she is buying, she wouldn’t of purchased a voucher that can’t be shared especially because I was a returning client and had always came as a group.
Very disappointing as I’ve spend more than a thousand dollars there, have always enjoyed this activity and can’t even get my time split or pay a price to do it, they just offer an option to make more and more profit off you.
If I need to pay 600$ for 8 minutes for two people, I’d rather book myself a weekend getaway.
Scammy Misrepresented experience
Scammy Misrepresented experience, 2+ hour wait for a 2 minute experience and website pricing is for a children’s experience according to the front desk. They refused to process a refund.
Purchased the 2 flights for 89.99 each, two people, so 4 flights total. When we got there at 3:40 for our 4pm reservation was told they were running 15 min behind which wasn’t too bad. But then the attendant started to press us for an upsell saying the 89.99 two flights is only two minutes of flying total and the instructor only has you go hip height saying, “it’s for like little kids, I know it doesn’t say any of that on the website”. The upsell was another $140 for double the time and the privilege of going higher. I didn’t like the sales tactic but it was a surprise from my wife for
my birthday and didn’t want to ruin it.
Then they said the whole experience would be over an hour and a half. This is not in the details on the website. I figured 30 min training maybe then flight but not 1:30 total, not to mention having to be 20 minutes late and they were 15 minutes behind. That’s over 2 hours for a 2 minute “ride”. I asked if we just did the original 2 minutes of flying would it still be that long? Yes.
When I asked for a refund because we couldn’t do it due to a scheduling conflict on the time, I was told no refunds.
I just felt taken advantage of by the shady upsell tactic at the location and lack of actual prediction on how long it all takes. Now we’re out almost $100 due to their bogus refund policy.

Don't get hung up on bad reviews!
A lot of people are talking about getting scammed with vouchers and payment issues. It seems to me that they're getting hung up on that and not the flight itself. iFLY is more affordable and easier to access than traditional skydiving. I've done both, and while traditional skydiving is much better, iFLY offers a nice alternative to dip your toes in for cheaper. You get what you pay for. If you want the real thing, go pursue it.
Dishonest
I ordered a special on line that included 2 flights each for two people and 2 days before my reservation they called to confirm and they only had me down for 2 total flights for one person. That's not what was advertised and that's not what I paid for. The only thing they were will able to do for me was give me a refund. They did not honor what they had advertised. I have been there 2 other times but I will not waste my time or my money again. This was to be a birthday present for my daughter and I to do together.
Avoid, Poor service
Poor service, hard sales, expensive.

Corp ruins employees effort and experience
It is really sad when the employees put so much positive effort and the experience can be ruined without anything they can do. Sat the 12th my two sons and myself decided to try ifly (1 hour drive) but looked fun. I booked online. After reviewing all the offers decided to go with the BUY 2 get 2 Free (flights). $105 this for my two boys and I assumed I would have to buy a flight or two for myself but wanted to wait until I saw the experience (you know 55 and all).
Getting there I was greeted warmly. Was asked what time my appointment was and I said 2pm and gave my name. Filled out the waivers, all seemed in order and off to a good start. The front counter person said she could not find my reservation and asked if I had a reservation form to which I replied that I only had the purchase receipt (photo on my phone) but it had a web purchase number on it and she would be able to look it up with that. No joy, she could not find it and asked me again for the receipt. After looking at the pic on my phone she said this was not a reservation and called over a manager who explained that I had no proof that I had made a reservation. After a few minutes of arguing I capitulated and said I will just purchase it at the counter to which I was told I could not as that package was only available online. I asked him if it made any sense for me to go online and purchase it AGAIN, charge my card again for them to tell me the form the system puts out is not a receipt. They asked if I wanted to purchase the more expensive packages they had at the counter. (this is me with a stunned look) :{ After more conversation and much frustration I capitulated and attempted to go online and purchase the package thru my phone. There were no reservation times left and it would not let me purchase it. The two employees behind the counter just stared at me and said they could not help me.
At the same moment I noticed another customer in the next line starting to get aggravated because they had made the exact same reservation and was having the exact same problem.
As my face started turning red another manager came over and said he would take care of it. He did thank goodness. I this point i was not happy and decided not to do the experience myself and frankly was unable to get out of my funk to enjoy it with my boys.
My story does not end there. During the experience I noticed that everyone in the group was getting 2 minutes in the machine and my sons were getting only a minute. I went to the counter and was told that the package that I got for 4 rides was only a minute each and not the standard package 2 minutes each. I searched everything on the website and could not find any reference to a shortened time with the package I bought. I said this to the manager and he said "it is corporate" nothing he can do.
This is most likely my first and last time at iFly and my boys really enjoyed it. It is really bad to mislead your customers and even worse to tie the hands of your employees to fix and obvious problem.
I would like to say it would have been a 1 star except the employees were really great just had their hands tied with no ability to fix it.

What a great amount of fun, for all ages. My 6yr old son is still calling iFLY the best part of our holiday to queenstown. The staff are so professional, yet so relaxed. This makes the whole experience enjoyable. Thanks heaps.
Great experience
I have visited their Basingstoke location, twice. Every time was fantastic. Kids have lots of fun, they really enjoyed it. Friendly staff and everything in a good order. Good idea for a birthday present.

Unorganized kids running show. All great ex employees fled but one who is a scammer. Staff gets commission on flights so they decrease wind speed so you fail and need to ask for more time . $$$$$$. Toilets, floors filthy, all lockers broken, poor peripheral instructions causing injuries in tunnel. $1200 per hour for complete disorganization of hours of delays.

3 Generations at iFly at the O2
We had a great day at iFly at the O2 , 3 generations of the family with Grandma taking the prize for best rookie. Instructor George made everyone welcome and with clear instruction got us all flying immediately . And with the promotions on offer, its a lot cheaper than you think - I've just signed up for 10 sessions at 10 quid each !
IFly Queenstown …
So you are 70 years of age and haven’t jumped out of a plane yet? But, you are in Queenstown and see the chance to fly like a bird with the iFly company. I chatted with the staff the first day to find out what was going on then returned the next day to have my flights with Sveta. All of the staff were so friendly and welcoming. Sveta gave very clear instructions to myself and the young family that was in my group. Sveta was so friendly, patient and attentive with each person to make sure we had a great time. This is something I will do again. Thank you to the staff of iFly.

We completed the waiver, one of the party was on the heavy side but within limits
After travel for over an hour we got there and were told this person couldn’t participate as they only had one instructor and because of weight they needed two
The waiver was completed months in advance so they should have advised the person couldn’t fly prior to event or they should have arranged two staff

So myself and my partner went to the IFLY at the 02, now both of us have said we are glad we did it as it was an experience (hence the 2nd star) BUT it is an absolute rip off it cost 200+ for our package of 4 flights with photos/videos, the photos/videos are terrible the camera is attached to a table at the same level so every single photo is bad quality and the exact same angle and doesn’t have any as your doing the higher fly! Which then leads me onto that ridiculous extra! The higher fly… you go up and down twice in the chamber for 20 pound (per fly) otherwise you literally float 6inches off the floor the rest of the time for 1minute to the exact second (yes they have a timer) so if you pay for two flys your paying for 2 minutes . The over all experience is OK but the value for money is not justified in the slightest it should have cost a quarter of what it did. So for that reason we would not return or recommend anyone to do it.
I-fly Basingstoke what a terrible experience
My daughter had 4 minutes of flight time booked, and my son 2. Instructor suggested she takes the 4 minutes as 2 of 2min. My daughter didn't get on well, so she was in the wind tunnel for 30 sec first time, then 40 sec the second. The instructor did not offer her to try again (and again), so she can at least have 4 goes (4 attempts at 1min), and she didn't offer my son extra time (he absolutely loved it and did very well in there).
I felt we were robbed tbh, considering they're selling one minute flight at £14 as a discounted rate. I contacted the centre after, to be told they can only go with CCTV and the instructor's word, and they said that they offered my son extra time which is an outright lie.
They've said they cannot offer refunds as the vouchers were "booked and flown". I have had a few emails back and forth with a receptionist. The manager, despite initially emailing me to query my low score on feedback form, has not engaged in the conversation at all.
My son also wanted to do the hifly add-on, and got overlooked. Despite the fact that I knocked on the glass and brought it to the instructor's attention, and she understood me, she proceeded to do the instructor demo flight.
On both counts I have basically been called a liar (the instructor's account was different to mine), although they referred to it as a "misunderstanding".
It is a shame, as the experience itself looks awesome. But given our experience I would not recommend i-fly Basingstoke! I drove for 2 hrs to get there for the experience, what saved the day was the Aquadrome next door!

Placed order almost 2 months ago and have never received order. Messaged store and they said problem with tracking number that they would pass info on. Emailed them again and told them I wanted refund and then never got a reply back. I would advise not to order.
Ruthless
I got the voucher as a gift for my birthday. On the day, someone had thrown themselves under the train and all trains to Milton Keynes from London had been cancelled on the day. I've explained the situation to iFLY on the day and again when rebooking. They whacked me with £15 rescheduling fee. Not really fair, the situation ruined my birthday and I doubt the experience will make up for it. Absolutely no empathy from the customer service agents who gave me the general talk that from a business stand point, they'll losing money because nobody attends the spot (funny, because they've offered me later spots on the day with no fee which I couldn't attend anyway because of the train situation). Not recommended.

The helmet and safety glasses without any guard to nose and mouth, with so much gush of air coming on face without proper gear how can it be safe and certified by authorities is my big question? It’s a disaster experience not able to breathe in the tunnel
