Jeakins Removals Opiniones 

Jeakins caused considerable and irreparable damage to our property and its contents including, but not limited to, gouges across a chest of drawers, a completely wrecked wardrobe, veneer scraped off an antique set of shelves, large scraping down the side of an antique sideboard and deep gouges and scratches throughout the wooden floors of the house. Walls were chipped and scratched, no protective wrapping or covers on furniture or floors, no care taken, furniture hastily and inadequately put back together and a poor customer service and complaints procedure to boot.

Some irony given their website claims that "our professional team, take the greatest care with your belongings and property, using protective flooring, bannister coverings and specialist equipment for your larger and more valuable items".

Not only that but they then wriggled their way out of providing adequate compensation through a technical clause in the contract - despite fully admitting they were entirely at fault for all of the damage - in a process that they dragged out over months and deliberately misled.

I have moved seven times in the last ten years and this firm was by far the worst of the bunch. Avoid at all costs.

The removal team were very helpful initially but on packing the van and leaving us we found the porch door left in the front room that they decided to take off and no tools to put it back on with. The new hall, stairs and landing carpets were filthy and chewing gum had been walked in as no coverings were put down on a very rainy day. Our garden pots and benches etc that we paid for an additional van for were mainly smashed or unusable when we checked them after a couple of days. A large Wisteria was missing although the pot it was planted in actually arrived in one piece. After 3 weeks we found it behind a neighbours garden dead.
I contacted Jeakins a number of times before getting a response and Steve actually agreed with me that it was not acceptable and it’s not what their company is about. He agreed to talk to MIchelle and get back to me. I am still waiting! Really upset and disappointed in “The Professionals”.

Our removal men Lewis, Dave P, H, Reg/Steve & Michael were absolutely brilliant, so helpful, great communication, really put us all at ease. They were all great with our young sons.

I got in contact with jeakins after hearing good things from family members that had used them. When I called them they brushed me off and asked if they could call me back the next day. Then when they did get in contact they booked me in and I took the day off work to be there. The day arrived and my allocated slot time was between 2-3pm by 3pm no one had turned up so I called them to see where they was to be told they had no such booking! Luckily they did send someone out after I had told them I was unhappy and had taken time off work for this. I was greeted by a man who came into my house without a face mask so I asked if I should wear mine to prompt him but he still didn’t wear one. The whole thing was over in a flash with him scribbling a couple of things down. To then get the quote a couple of days later for £1500!!!!! I was shocked. I had had previous quotes of £600-£800 from other companies but felt I should try this company after recommendations. I honestly don’t know where they plucked that figure from and on the quote form there was no itemised prices for things just the lump sum of £1500. Disgusting and terrible customer service!!

10/10! I couldn’t fault this removal company at all. From the begin to end the office staff were extremely helpful and made everything stress free. Vicky, Steve and Michelle I would like to thank you for all the support and moving advice throughout this stressful time. The men on the day we’re on time and ready to work. I have to mention William, what a lovely man, from what I saw he was a great team leader and knew what he was doing. Nothing was too hard for the men they worked non stop throughout the whole day. I couldn’t be more happy with how the move day went. Everything was professional. Thanks to jeakins we are settled in. The price was competitive and worth every penny. We would definitely use jeakins again!

Jeakins were brilliant & are very high recommended.
Moving house is one of the most stressful things you can ever do, especially when you have a large 5 bedroom house with an incredible amount of belongs. Therefore, to have a company that deal with everything for you & take away a lot of the stress & worry is a huge relief. This is where Jeakins removals came in. It is the third time I've used there guys & from day one, from getting the quote, making the booking, doing a large chunk of my packing for me, to dismantling the wardrobes & beds & reassembling them, & then moving all my stuff over two days, I cannot fault them at all. Their removal guys did a fantastic & professional job at a very competitive price. I would not hesitate to use them again & would highly recommend them to anyone who is moving. Thanks guys

Outstanding service - thank you Jeakins!

This is the third time I’ve used Jeakins and once again they made one of the more stressful days in human life as stress free and smooth as possible. Malcolm and Dave, as well as being prompt, polite and professional were also a couple of comedians on the quiet, making us laugh a lot through the whole removal. Can’t rate them highly enough - first class service. Thank you. Not planning on moving again but if we do we will use Jeakins again and again!

Do not use this company! The customer service is absolutely appalling, they have no regard for honouring their agreements and were extremely rude on the phone.

Outstanding communication and service from start to finish . Very friendly and professional service , excellent care and consideration for my property with the packing, loading, transportation and delivery. I have used many removal companies over the years, but I must say Jeakins removals are in another league. My sincere thanks to Michelle, Steve, and all the crews involved. Simply outstanding!! Highly recommended!!

Moved 10th may and they were there when they said they would be, the 2 chaps were very friendly and hard working, would recommend no problem👍👍

If I could give zero stars I would... I have had such a bad experience from the beginning. First of all the man who came to quote was extremely crude and made my husband feel uncomfortable by the comments that were made towards me... the quotation was definitely not professional. After I had received the quote I had numerous constant phone calls asking whether I had made my decision or whether I had any dates. I had told Vicky that I was still awaiting dates and that I still had not made my decision so dates of a move should not have came into the equation. I then decided to go with the removal company as I had no other choice due to when finally coming to a date our first choice company, could not do our move then. I sent back the acceptance form and then “booked the date” Vicky said she would put this in the diary for me and it was definitely booked. THIS WAS NOT THE CASE, I even paid for packing materials and when the move date was days away I called to check everything was going ahead and I was told there was no such booking. Michelle was extremely rude and made every excuse there was. No apology was made, it was taken very light heartedly ... as if it was a joke. I was left stranded to find a removal company. NO REFUND WAS ISSUED FOR PACKING MATERIALS. I understand that they are non-refundable but in this case it was the companies fault itself. Vicky and Michelle are a let down to jeakins removals.

I just wanted to write a review to say what a brilliant removals company Jeakins are. I would highly recommend them to everyone. We were very impressed with Steven, Lewis and Mike on the day they moved us, nothing was too much trouble for them and they performed their job as a professional well oiled team who were still able to inject plenty of humour to make us laugh on what can ordinarily be a very stressful day.
Well done guys and thanks to Michelle and Vicky who were also great with the advice and support in the build up to the big day!

Very professional and friendly throughout. From home visit for quote until move day. Did everything they said the would and more. Great service on the day. Highly recommend.

From start to finish I cannot fault Jeakins. Excellent and professional service. The removal guys were really nice, polite and accommodating. The move all went smoothly. Would highly recommend and use for our next move without a doubt.

A true 5* experience. We were guided through the removals process of exactly how it would work etc and that is exactly how it went. They also went the extra mile which did not go unnoticed, thanks Jeakins we would highly recommend you.

Our removals team were absolutely outstanding. They were really friendly, offered helpful tips and advice, and reassured us through the day when things were going slowly with our solicitors. They were double checking where things were going in the new house to make sure we were happy. Couldn’t fault them in any way.

Only minor quibble is that the booking process seems a little outdated (lots of physical post rather than email). Not a deal breaker, but just a personal preference. The gentleman that came to do the quote was lovely and the main reason we went with them rather than a competitor. I’m glad we placed our trust in them and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend.

Michelle came to quote our job before Xmas & delivered the boxes we needed the very next day. Fantastic price. Kyle and Scott did our removal. After being delayed which wasn’t their fault they did an unbelievable job, took apart two beds and a very problem sofa, with no trouble at all. So easy to be around, funny and professional. We have another job coming up and we will be using Jeakins and absolutely hoping it will be Scott & Kyle again.

What an appalling shambles ! The owners the manager

parents would be dismayed by the utter unprofessional service that we received. This long established company is going downhill rapidly. Emailing us to say we need not panic as there was plenty of time to make the arrangements for our move to actually not turning up on the day. We called them a day before the move to confirm the arrangements with the manager only to be told that we had not been booked in for a move that should have taken two days. We are pensioners and were left stranded. Luckily we were helped by various people including SW Short Removals, who were excellent and Hockley Transport who were brilliant and helped move some huge trees to our new property.
I trusted the contracts manager when he said that he could still deliver our Jaccuzzi, as they had specialists that could do the job a week later. We agreed to use them and when the men turned up they were actually Jeakins employees - they were very polite, although due to the bad weather our Jaccuzzi is in a very poor state. The final insult was that we were charged an extra £100 because they could not do the whole move!!
In all of this we did not get a single reply to our emails or apology. The only call we had was to request payment. There is a 2% surcharge if you use a credit card, so we paid in full by debit card.

A story of two halves - removal guys were helpful despite the fact that The senior manager didn't properly equip them (an additional van had to be sent because she underestimated the space needed).
A few days after the move we discovered one of our TVs was smashed and there is a tear in the back of a leather sofa. To say they were unhelpful is an understatement. The story is too long and ridiculous to re-tell but I have just been informed I will only be reimbursed £40 per item.
The business side of this company is unprofessional, rude and utterly unreasonable. If you value your possessions then please don't let them anywhere near them.
