Very disappointed with our experience…

Very disappointed with our experience with Jeju Air.
The airline changed our flight by one full day after we had already booked and paid for a non-refundable hotel. Because of this change, we are losing around 600 SGD for the hotel, plus 150 SGD for an e-sports competition ticket that my son will now miss completely.
What is even more frustrating is the complete lack of support from customer service. Despite the financial loss and the impact on our trip, no compensation, refund, or even a small commercial gesture was offered. We only received repeated “sorry” responses without any real solution.
We understand that flight changes can happen, but the way an airline handles its customers in these situations matters a lot. Unfortunately, our experience with Jeju Air has been extremely disappointing.
First and last time booking with this airline.

‘Budget’ would be a generous term for…

‘Budget’ would be a generous term for this airline.
The planes are budget, there is no in-flight entertainment, they are never on time, and god forbid you have any sort of baggage issue. No one on the entire team in Seoul seems to understand how to work universal TSA locks.
Save yourself the headache, time, and drama, and DO NOT fly Jeju!

CS: Don't Speak Korean? Then **** off

That appears to be the customer service attitude of Jeju air.

To connect to customer services, you need to call Korea. They go through a long menu, which keeps announcing in Korean even if you press for English. Finally, I got through to a human who said, "English? Nooo, call tomorrow"... on the day of the flight and just hung up the international call.

Hey, Jeju Air: Hire some people if you want to be a credible airline.

Wir waren mit Jeju Air im November von Hiroshima nach Seoul geflogen.
Wir waren mit diesem Flug sehr zufrieden und würden wieder mit Jeju Air fliegen. Wir haben uns sicher gefühlt.

Was richtig genervt hat, ist der Online-Check In. Dieser ist praktisch nicht durchführbar, weder über die Homepage noch der App !!! Hier ist akuter Handlungsbedarf der Airline !!!
Man vergeudet hier sinnlos seine kostbare Zeit, was wohl auch viele Kunden somit verärgert.
Daher von mir 4 statt 5 Sterne !

Very helpful staff

Very helpful staff! I am so thankful for the brief interaktion I had. We had a problem with checking and time was running out the staff helped us find the gate. Will fly all flights with you from now on!

Jejuair can destroy your vacation without the reason.

I booked a ticket from Soeul to Ulan Bator in Mongolia for May 15, 2025 at 9:40 AM. The check-in in the app was not working. The self check-in at the airport was also not working. At the counter they refused me to board because my passport had some marks made by a kid with a pen. They told me that they were asking Mongolia Immigration and they refused me entry to Mongolia, which was a lie. All Jejuair employees said that I would definitely be fined by Mongolian Immigration and they will not allow me to enter the country, which was also a lie. After an hour of fighting, I signed the indemnity form and finally got my bording pass. Now I am in Mongolia and I have no problems at the airport. Mongolian Immigration confirmed that they did not reject my passport and it is not damaged. Be prepared that Jejuair can lie to you and refuse to board the plane without any reason. They can ruin your vacation if you don't have a new passport. Be careful and avoid these dishonest airlines whose policies were created by psychopaths.

Think twice if your checked or carryon (!) luggage is overweight before you book with JeJu Air!

I had to travel through several countries. For my second to last leg I need to travel from TPE to ICN. The check in crew at TPE weighs all the luggage, including carry-on, which is a brand new experience for me. My carry-on was over their limit (13 kg) by a little less than 10 kg. They charged me $137, which I think is exorbitant. I saw many passengers got caught by their luggage tactics and had to pay a huge sum.

My advice is that if you have excess luggage (20 kg for checked, 12 kg for carry-on), think twice before you book with this airline with dubious safety record.

Very substandard customer contact support

While I feel a little bad writing a negative review of an airline trying to recover its reputation after a crash, I do think Jeju Air should know how bad its booking system and follow-up customer service are. The booking interface is clunky and the airline only allows Korean and Japanese nationals to check in online (other airlines deal with any necessary paperwork related to nationality in better ways), so I had to turn up at Narita's budget terminal as early as possible and wait a very long time in line, even though I had just one small carry-on. The outbound flight pulled out of the gate more or less on time but we then taxied around the airport for an hour, with no explanation. While delayed, the flight itself was good enough. But because they send flight-related documents only as email inserts I needed to contact them later to get a pdf (to get reimbursed for what had been a business trip). This entailed battling with an online bot that proved to be entirely useless, searching and searching for a working telephone number and then waiting on the phone for 45 minutes, selecting English upon getting through, only to be put on hold for another 15 minutes before getting an assistant who spoke neither English nor Japanese. Not a word! I had to use my very limited Korean to persuade her to get someone to call me back later in Japanese. I am by no means an English language nationalist, but an airline offering international flights that speaks only Korean is really not acceptable.

Great budget airline

After reading all the bad reviews I was apprehensive about flying with Jejuair but it was great. The staff were all friendly, the baggage allowance was incredibly good for a budget airline and the plane was clean. I'd happily travel with the airline again.

Vol Séoul Jeju. Très bien

Personnel agréable et compétent. Pour réserver un vol, j’ai du le faire à l’aéroport car le site n’est qu’en coréen. Grand choix d’horaires 2 jours avant le vol. Ils m’ont fait les cartes d’embarquement. Personnel navigant très agréable.

Rude staff, worst seats, extremely poor service. NEVER EVER USE THEM AGAIN

My first time with this airline and never experienced such a poor service in my 25 year of flying. Seats are made for max 5'ft people and I am 5.10' and couldn't fit in. Cabin crew has no idea of customer service and how to treat people. They refused to help or do anything even when there were empty seats. Cabin crew was rude and had no intension to help anyone. I have flew on many no frill airlines but this is the worst one I have flew with. I do not recommend this airline to anyone.

Racist airline. BAN THEM From operating in Japan. Beware!!!

Utterly atrocious. I have never met a bunch of incompetent morons like this, ever, in my life.
We had zero interest in staying in your subpar city Seoul, we were due to transit there for two hours before heading to Da Nang, Vietnam. My husband, an Indian national, requires NO Indian visit and has never set foot in Korea in his life. They refused him boarding, no reason, for what I can assume to be pure racism. A scumbag airline. At Naha airport, this imbecile "KO" was assigned to us, and did sweet nothing, walked off, leaving his Japanese colleagues to deal with us. I would not fly in this garbage airline if my life depended on it. And they also refused us a refund, so we are contacting a solicitor and the consumer affairs center tomorrow. Disgusting, atrocious, moronic racist scum. Stay the hell away.

Avoid this company if you don't want to loose time and money

I booked a flight on Jeju air to Seoul. First of all I had to accept the conditions of flight which stated that I needed a PCR test, even though Korea didn't ask for it anymore. So I payed a test 6000 JPY (Roughly 43 $) and it wasn't necessary, I was never controlled. But that's not the worst part. For the first flight to Seoul, I was 40 min before the plane and everything went fine. But for the return, I had an issue and managed to get 45 minutes before the flight (but Seoul airport is huge so you need to be earlier). Although people were still going for the plane, they wouldn't let me in because I was not 1 hour in advance, which was never mentionned anywhere on their website ! I had to ask 6 or 7 people who all told me I couldn't go on the plane, 45 minutes before the departure... Luckily they refunded half the price, but that's still a very bad company, wouldn't recommend it.

Took me 2 days to book a ticket: I finally chose to Google Translate the Korean version. The flight was ok, but typical for very low cost: you cannot bring your own water, you have to pay for everything. On a 5h flight Seoul to Bangkok, this was quite annoying.

Top Service

Used these to fly from Busan to Jeju, great service.
Booking was easy online, no extra charges for seat reservation.
The checkin process was quick and easy, staff very pleasant and helpful, this continued on the aircraft.
Highly recommend
