I would not recommend this dealership!!!

I purchased a vehicle from them on 25 May (YD19 HRR) but within two weeks I had to reject it because it was faulty, they deducted approximately £400–£500 from my refund for mileage, despite the vehicle being rejected due to faults within the first 30 days.

They also withheld a further £50 for the V5C logbook, even though the logbook was never issued in my name because they failed to complete the change of keeper correctly. I was expected to return a document that I never received.

The whole experience has been frustrating and disappointing. I expected better customer service and for the dealership to comply with its legal obligations. Instead, I have been left having to chase money that I believe should never have been withheld.

I would advise anyone considering buying from this dealership to proceed with caution and to be fully aware of their consumer rights.

I would strongly advise anyone to think carefully before buying a car from Kiln Farm Motors.

From the day I purchased the vehicle, it was one problem after another. Almost immediately, the car developed clutch faults and warning lights. The dealership kept the car for around a week to replace the clutch, yet the same issues continued after I got it back. Shortly afterwards, an engine fault also appeared.

The customer service was just as disappointing as the car itself. My calls were repeatedly ignored when I was trying to get the faults resolved. At one point, I was even asked to collect the car from Luton because they didn’t want to deal with bringing it back themselves, despite the ongoing issues.

When I exercised my right to reject the vehicle and requested a refund, they attempted to deduct around £700 for alleged scratches that were already present when I bought the car, as well as for mileage that had been added while the dealership was transporting the vehicle to and from the garage. I found this completely unacceptable.

After seeking legal advice, I was informed that the dealership had not followed the correct procedures, and I subsequently reported the matter to Trading Standards.

Overall, this was one of the worst purchasing experiences I have ever had. The faults with the vehicle, the lack of communication, and the way my complaint was handled left me with no confidence in this dealership. I would not recommend Kiln Farm Motors based on my experience.

I would strongly advise anyone considering buying a vehicle from this dealership to look elsewhere.
Within just three weeks of purchasing our car, the clutch failed and had to be replaced. Not long after that, the vehicle developed an engine fault, leaving us with a car that clearly wasn't of the quality we were led to expect.
What was even more disappointing was how the dealership handled the situation. Before the sale, communication was prompt and helpful. However, once we reported the faults and requested a full refund, responses became slow, inconsistent, and incredibly difficult to obtain, they even went as far as them blocking my number. It felt as though they were doing everything possible to avoid resolving the issue.
To add insult to injury, we were told that if a refund was agreed, we would have to pay for the mileage we had covered, despite the fact that the car had developed major mechanical problems almost immediately after purchase. We bought the vehicle expecting it to be reliable, not to face significant repairs within weeks.
Buying a car is a major financial commitment, and customers should be able to trust that any serious issues will be dealt with fairly and professionally. Unfortunately, that was not our experience. Instead, we were left with the stress, inconvenience, and uncertainty of dealing with a faulty vehicle and a dealership that seemed far more interested in avoiding responsibility than putting things right.
Based on our experience, I cannot recommend this dealership and would encourage prospective buyers to exercise extreme caution.

We eventually were able to return the vehicle after reporting them to trading standards and threatening court. They tried to knock off money from the price paid due to an admin fee and mileage used.

We settled to pay 0.45p per mile used on the vehicle just to completely cut cords with a cowboy company.

Unfortunately cannot give 0 stars. Avoid this place like the plague. I saw a car online that I was interested in and placed a holding deposit prior to going to view as i live a fair drive away. After I put the deposit down, I looked deeper at their reviews and saw that they are entirely fake.

They very clearly have falsified reviews and copy and pasted them. Their trust pilot reviews make this especially clear that they do this as they somehow have a 4 star review however only have 5 star or 1 star reviews on there.

Due to this, I fully believe the car would not have been as described (which is mentioned frequently in the genuine 1 star reviews) so I requested a refund and they have refused, effectively stealing money from me. Under the Consumer Contracts Regulations of 2013, a distance selling deposit is returnable for any reason within 14 days, I requested a refund within 24 hours yet this company are still of the incorrect opinion that they do not need to refund me.

I implore you to please look deeper at this company prior to even thinking about their cars. I have put in a small claims court file for my money back which is frustrating however if by reading this review it could prevent at least one person from buying a car from this dodgy dealer, I would be happy.
