Incompetent delivery and communication
I bought some ladders from this company late on a Wednesday - I did not even request next day delivery in order to make it less urgent; I agreed a Friday delivery and they then requested this of their supplier. They will say that they don't guarantee a particular date but given they can get ladders delivered before requested, presumably, that means that they have some control. Despite my request, their delivery company tried an early delivery on a Thursday. Delivery was refused (there was no-one in) and we agreed next day delivery (Friday). The delivery company failed to do that (and lied to me throughout the day about the delivery time) and even went so far as to create a false signature in order to argue that they had delivered the ladders on the Friday evening. Next, on Monday morning, the delivery company agreed that they did not understand what had happened and that the ladders were still in the depot (Monday) despite up until that point arguing that the ladders had been delivered. Having complained to Ladders4sale, I was told that the ladders were on the truck for today (Monday). I responded to them saying that this was no good as there was no-one to accept them and that leaving them on the drive represented a security risk. They agreed with this. Laddres4sale agreed and we arranged, in writing on Monday, a Saturday delivery. Despite this, they delivered the ladders on Monday at some point. They left them on the drive and did not even call or email to let me know. Basically, there's a high level of incompetence somewhere in this supply chain and Ladders4sale does not really have a full grasp of what their supply chain is doing. After all this, the ladders are damaged and I have requested them to be collected. There are plenty of ladders suppliers out there; this was too much hassle.
