Effective Payment Processor that Has Your Back Against Scammer Clients
LawPay has been my #1, and only, payment processor since I began working with them. The customer support is solid and generally has a short wait time. If a client tries to pull a charge-back scam on you after you've provided the agreed-upon services, LawPay handles the dispute process, saving you substantial time. The payment scheduling option is great in conjunction with an initial quick-bill to allow for a larger downpayment then smaller chunks. LawPay helps me close clients, earning me the right to coffee according to 1980s Alec Baldwin. I like coffee, and as a result, I like LawPay.

I would really appreciate it if you could update your system to address the following issue: Whenever I narrow down a transaction by date and click on an invoice, it redirects me to a new page. However, when I click 'back,' it resets the filter to show all transactions instead of keeping it narrowed down to the selected date. The same problem occurs when navigating through pages. For example, if I am on page 2 while viewing all transactions, click on an invoice, and then click 'back,' I am returned to the first page rather than my previous spot. This behavior is inefficient and makes my job more difficult. Thank you for your attention to this matter.

We have multiple problems with LawPay
We have multiple problems with LawPay, which might force us to stop using your services.
First, whenever we receive payments into our account, there is no indication as to which client made the payment. This is a big problem.
Second, frequently if a client makes a mistake in payment, you take money out of my account. You shouldnt' add money into my account until you first confirm that the client correctly made the payment so that I don't have to keep having my account debited everytime there is a payment issue.

LawPay is a useful tool. They are responsive and helpful when I've had questions.
Wall pay is lacking on several fundamental areas of information that lawyers need
It’s OK, but there are a lot better payment systems that can be used. Square gives you the ability to instantly deposit funds. There’s no way to do that on LawPay. Another issue that I have is that once someone does a payer function, it takes 5 to 6 days to get the funds which seems to me to be completely ridiculous. Third, and this is the same problem that I had with my case before they integrated with LawPay so I’m really surprised they haven’t fixed this. There’s simply no way to tell when the funds are going to be deposited into the account, surprisingly, there’s no way to tell whether the deposit have been. Consequently, when you’re looking at all these transactions, you don’t know any of them gonna come you don’t know which ones deposited, you’re trying to figure out definitively whether something in your transaction list has been deposited or not so this is why I give three stars because they provide a lot of what is practically useless information such as things like what the IP address was where someone made the payment and whether it was verified or not. Are you kidding me? Why would I even need to know that , not me. What I need to know is when I’m paid, when I’m going to get the money, and whether or not the money has been deposited from LawPay into my operating account for my law firm. As these things are done all at once and not separate transactions so I can’t , without some difficulty make any clear comparison between what’s positive and which transaction belong to without doing some complicated math calculation that takes me way more time than I should have to take in a business where time is money. Consequently, I don’t think handle on what it takes to run or what customers really need , they just hobble together. This program doesn’t provide important information to their clients.

Unintutive & mobile app is limited
The mobile app is extremely limited. I cannot send a new bill from the mobile app and this is a huge negative.
I also find the LawPay website to be unintutive. I have difficulty getting the website to auto bill when and on the dates I need it to bill. Even things like viewing recent payment requests and sending a reminder is hard to find.
Lastly, I have tried the Pay Later option many times and have never had a customer accepted. It is a fantastic concept but has proven to be a waste of my time and my customer's time.
That said, I am pretty loyal to LawyPay. I'm not sure why but I feel more affinity towards LawPay than the many other payment processing options that I use.

I wanted more help, but the rep just told me to read the tutorial and do it myself. I literally asked for more help and she said she'd help me tomorrow if I couldn't figure it out myself. Now that we're off the phone, I never got the tutorial she supposedly emailed me and I am not any closer to getting this resolved. Guess the problem will go on my to-do list tomorrow too. That stinks!

We struggled in getting LawPay to set up surcharging and weren't notified that automatic surcharging on trust payments had been discontinued. We were ultimately able to sign a waiver to still get it set up, but the communication about the change wasn't great and it took a lot of back and forth to get what we needed. Things have been great since then.
