They don't listen, just hear what they want to hear. We were given the wrong advice, made our situation much worse, and now we are franticly trying to find a solicitor to deal with our original issue and fix the legal mess Lyons Davidson created. They have caused my family so much distress mentally and financially. They are also incredibly slow. Avoid.

This is the second time I have tried to use my House Insurance legal Help which is this Solicitor.
First time after a accident, they said could not progress, no chance of claim.
Got another solicitor and almost at end of completion with a claim.
This time wanted advice and representation for appeal and reason for losing my job in NHS.
Said wont win, but if I wanted to pay £14k for private representation???
I think also that the person, representing would read the way of my accusations as the same as NHS. Assuming Racist. But if you saw the context in comedy and of a older generation. You would see it as funny.
Think any new or young person, would be woke and PC, so no chance of help.
Well if they think no chance of success, why would I go and pay??

Avoid Lyons Davidson they are bent and incompetent!
Via my Insurer AViVA and ARC LEGAL (avoid them too) these cowboys were appointed, and they attempted to change my strong Prosecution case into a weak Defence case, courtesy of their Unsupervised Trainee
aka Paralegal. On making a Complaint about this, they went against their own Complaints procedure, tried to fob me off to their two Trade Unions, the Legally Sloppy Ombudsman, and the Solicitors' Republican Army, along with a bung of £50 to go away - Do Not Waste Your Time And Money With This Rubbish Firm !

Provided excellent legal support during a money claims case against myself. Nelay Joshi stands out for providing regular updates and for chasing the court to establish what, if anything, was happening.
Only small concern was that during the 2 years the claim took to get resolved (court backlogs and court administrative errors) the case handler changed several times though it didn't seem to impact the support or advice provided.

I was referred to this Company through MBNA Insurance. with regards to an employment issue, they were in the first instance very slow to contact me, after this, they very rarely answered my emails, and never returned my calls, they basically wasted almost 3 months, where I could have appointed another solicitor, leaving it too late ,and I have had to file the Tribunal form myself. They also got some details wrong, probably because they did not contact me to check. Basically very unresponsive, and at times I felt I was being treated as a nuisance! Very stressful, Absolutely Zero customer service!

I have been extremely happy with my case handler Antony Bailey, he has always kept good communication and helped in trying to resolve my claim. He has been very informative and helpful throughout. When there have been things during the process in which I didn’t understand he was brilliant in guiding me through it.

They allocated a basic case to a trainee solicitor, who, clearly doesn't understand the consumer protection act 2015 or how to implement it!
Said trainee even admitted that she hadn't read all of the email evidence that was submitted and made her assessment without it 🙄 . God help the next person's case that they give her!!!
There was a fault with the car that was purchased via a dealership, the problem was reported on test drive with regards to the gearbox, the dealership put it down to the discs and pads and changed them! Problems carried on within the first six months and the garage was notified of this! They had the chance of repairing it and failed!
According to the trainee, the burden of proof to prove the defect lies with us!! According to the consumer protection act 2015, if the defect is highlighted to the dealership within the first six months, it is assumed by law that the defect existed at the time of purchase!!!
Why can't she read or, interpret the law correctly?????

Very poor and factually incorrect legal analysis of case. The case handler was slow to respond, carried out a factually incorrect analysis and failed to take into account all relevant details.
Very poor level of legal competence.

Edit: I was asked to remove the case worker's first name which I have but I do NOT think this is fair. Including the name of the person handling the case and causing the issue is important to ensure other clients can compare against their own experiences.

Case relating to car insurance handled successfully by Bethany Chandler who kept us well informed.

I had a lovely solicitor by the name of Catherine Stewart of Lyon Davidsons in Bristol, who helped me from 15th May 2023 with an accident on theM25 , all the time she informed me of what was happening and gave me excellent advice right up until the settlement in September 2026. I would definitely recommend her as an excellent Solicitor to help.

During a three year process, involving injury and loss of earnings following a car accident, which recently settled, my assigned solicitor was professional, helpful and thorough, if sometimes hard to get hold of. The treatment was all good quality (27 physio sessions included). I was not impressed by the company who took my witness statement, which I had to completely re-write. Overall, a good experience with Lyons Davidson.

I was dealing with Elli, during this whole process I was kept informed every step of the way. The customer portal is very good and is easy to use, you can look and sign documents upload photo and any supporting documents for your case.
