I visited the Knutsford branch on Sunday night, fairly quiet dining experience. Under staffed, inattentive, long waiting times for water and bill at the end. Inappropriate seating offered despite lots... Ver más

Food very Good and lovely service and fair pricing …but not very comfortable sitting on a piece of Wood…Also The Music was too Loud for talking…
Visited one of the restaurants in…Liverpool
Visited one of the restaurants in Liverpool, staff very welcoming, fantastic interior.
The food......had to have a set menu as there was 14 of us, which was fine but the choices were very limited, 3 starters, 2 main, 2 desserts.....for £35, ouch.
Food was very good, fresh and tasty. More choices for a set menu would rate it higher for me. £25 would have seemed a fairer price. The set menu did include a glass of Prosseco (I think).

Went to mowgli lincoln and really disappointed with the food. Growing up with Indian food and having been to other Indian restaurants it was the worst flavoured Indian food and very small portions! Wont be back
Waste of time and money
If you don't want to pay a lot of money still leaving the place hungry and you don't like to be ripped off I will recommend to avoid this place.
Just horrible 🫤
Disappointing: bad food, high prices
We booked at Mowgli Sheffield and despite other tables being free, were given a table right by the door where diners and staff kept squeezing past. Music was playing so loudly, it was hard to hear each other talk. The staff who served us kept changing.
This restaurant is expensive, the portion sizes were tiny and to make things worse, the food which we did get was not very nice (and it was certainly not as described on the menu - key ingredients were missing). In general, the food was really sweet although the dahl was too salty (and the split peas not quite cooked). The paneer dish was supposed to come with vegetables in it, but there were only a few sorry lumps of paneer drowing in a (most probably preprepared) sour sauce. Bhel Puri was missing dressing, rotis were cold, the Holy Chow was a poorly spiced, dry mush of vegetables in a loaf... I could go on. The Chat Bombs are decent, but quite sweet. This restaurant doesn't seem to have any quality control on the food. We might not have minded the big prices for small portions if we'd been served something special, but there is much better food to be had in thousands of restaurants around the UK. We'll try those instead next time.
Friday Fun With Friends
Just home from a great night with friends at Mowgli Glasgow. Wonderful delicious food. We decided to get a mix of starters to share and a mix of mains too. Everything was so good and plenty of it too. We did have room for a wonderful pudding too. Great atmosphere and service. Our main person for the night was Connor, a lovely guy from Newcastle, up for training in readiness for the Newcastle branch opening later this year. He couldn't have been nicer and more helpful. He was a lovely treacle and we came away with a piccie too. We'll definitely be back.
Mowgli outrageous charges for substandard food and tiny portions
I went to Mowgli in Birmingham for lunch this weekend with my daughter and had what I thought would be a fancy toasted cheese sandwich with an Indian twist. What I got for £6.25 PLUS an additional £3.02 service charge and £1.00 "charity" donation, was a small, single piece of a white sliced loaf, with a bit of dried up toasted cheese mixed with a few herbs and a teaspoon of truly vile lime pickle. This was nothing short of daylight robbery. Our server could see I was not happy yet still proceeded to add the additional charges. I DO NOT recommend. Would have been better off at Greggs...
Lovely restaurant for Indian Street…
Lovely restaurant for Indian Street Food Mowglis in Preston. Staff very friendly and helpful. Food excellent ordered two dishes and rice and bread. Will definitely go again.
Went to the Bold Street
Went to the Bold Street, Liverpool branch. Ordered a vegetable curry and a chicken curry amongst other items. 2 small pieces of chicken in the chicken curry, that was it. When I mentioned it to the waiter, he said and I quote ‘well better luck next time’. Poor attitude and service, no apology, or offer of a partial refund. We should have made a bit more of a fuss and refused to pay for the chicken curry, just pay for 2 vegetable curries instead! Sorry but could not recommend.

Ambience was fine, food lovely, service poor. Many of the staff were obviously new and untrained.Wouldn't rush back but
never say never!
Stunning venue. Food on the sweet side. No spice level options. British Asian. (Not sure why the flag is incorrect)
Visited the Leicester branch.
I had higher expectation for this place, was expecting flavoursome & authentic food.
The decor and ambiance was stunning. The service was great, approachable & friendly staff.
Ordered from the gluten free menu (plenty of choice which was valued). Sadly was disappointed with the taste of food. Ordered a selections tapa’s dishes 5 in total with rice. The only dish which wasn’t sweet was the Angry bird, but very bland. The Treacle Tamarind Fries, MOWGLI sticky chicken and House Lamb dish were all too sweet, which got a little too much towards the end.
Great food, great service - highly recommend
It was the first time we visited a Mowgli restaurant - Raghav in the Bristol restaurant was amazing. He guided us through the menu to help us choose the tastiest food we have enjoyed in some time. I would highly recommend both the restauarant, food and service - thanks Raghav we will be back soon!!
Took friend for 50th birthday.
Took friend for 50th birthday., Received great service especially from manager Randeep.
Just loved the food and environment. Thanks x
So Bad
So Bad, too sad.
Someone has put in an extra special effort to make the sub par tasteless food you get dished up at Mowgli sound tantalising and delicious on their menu and web site - don't fall for it.
Take the "Mowgli Chip Butty" they describe this as
"A flavour grenade! Roti wrap, fenugreek kissed turmeric fries, chilli pickle, red onion, coriander, green chilli & Mowgli tomato relish." This is a complete lie... you don't even get fries, I received Tesco ess small roasted potato pieces, no chilli pickle, no red onion, no green chilli - it was terrible and tasteless.
Next you get the "Mother Butter Chicken"
as per their menu "Chicken Tikka Masala does not exist in India; Butter chicken is the real, Mother’s kitchen, deal. Tandoori chicken pieces simmered in a rich, sweet, spiced tomato & yoghurt sauce finished with a gloss of butter."
Another lie, the chicken was not Tandoori or cooked in a Tandoor oven, a few tiny pieces their was no gloss of butter not even a whiff of butter touched this product, the gravy tasted of raw spices without any tomato or yoghurt - any Indian chef would have been embarrassed to serve this £9.95 dish to a customer... absolutely awful.
We were then also charged for 2 x Roti's at £4 each when we only received 1, so make sure you double check your receipt as this may be a way of trying to make extra money.
Sinead was our server at Mowgli Liverpool, and thought that 12.5% service charge was a good idea - I think this is another way of the restaurant making an additional 12.5% per booking, dreadful business practice.
Why didn't we say something... I tried, but even when I questioned the additional charge of Roti's it was challenged. I asked for NO FRESH CORIANDER about 10 times, ensuring that it was understood... Guess what? Every dish came with fresh Coriander so we had to send it all back.., now you know you never send food back and I won't again, next time I will just tell them to take it off the bill and to not serve me any food. So So unhappy..
I hope to hear from Mowgli, although I now see lots of bad reviews without comment so could be that they just don't care? I predict a short lived business.
Honestly very disappointed in the…
Honestly very disappointed in the service. Have been to the Nottingham Mowgli before and the service was swift and friendly. In the London Charlotte St branch, we waited 45 minutes to even have our drinks order taken. When we arrived, our table was not ready. Food was yummy when it eventually came but that was about the only positive. The full tip amount was then added to the bill… not too sure what we were leaving a tip for.
Having been to the Sheffield Mowgli…
Having been to the Sheffield Mowgli tonight, I was totally surprised that a dog was allowed to be carried into the restaurant and the owners were seated at the table adjoining mine.
This was not a guide dog.
Staff were petting and fusssing the dog, and then they were serving food and drink to my table, absolutely disgusting.
Food and drink was overpriced, a very disapointing experience.
Sorry Mowgli, my family and I will not be returning.
Made Monkeys out of us the restaurant…
Yesterday went to Nottingham restaurant
Awful experience, the food was not tasty, portions were tiny and the rottis were undercooked, overpriced for a cafe style pretentious restaurant.
Absolutely made monkeys out of us. Wouldn’t recommend.
over priced
There wasn't enough options the food tasted sweet and had an odd after taste my friends house curry had bones in and grizzle there was a long wait to be served small portions overly priced left hungry wouldn't recommend ir return
How to ruin a brand with poor customer experience
After having a delightful experience at the Preston branch last month, booked table for Edinburgh tonight. We arrived at 18:50 for 19:30 reservation.the person at front desk Lois, was very rude and said she couldn’t seat us and we could come back at 19:30. It was cold and raining outside and I said this was not acceptable,so she said we could stand at the bar as no waiting area. I had a look in the restaurant and several empty tables so couldn’t understand why we could not be seated. I asked for manager and Lois said she is the manager, and I told her this was very poor customer service. She could not have cared less. We asked the man at bar if he was a bartender, yes, great, ordered drinks and he said he could not serve us. We left and after having recommended this brand based on previous experience, will not be back and will be sure to tell clients and friends to avoid..
Fabulous food in beautiful setting
What can I say? Friendly welcome as we walked in, charming waiting staff, delicious food, beautiful decor, great company… this was a visit to remember. We each ordered different dishes (four people) and tried every dish, with squeaks of delight! We all agreed this is one place we will be returning to (and soon!).
